This place was outrageously expensive for what you get.
Dover Sole $110.00 !?!? You can get this dish anywhere else in the city for 75.00 .
Be the first to ReplyGood restaurant! I enjoyed everything I ate.
The servers were incredibly friendly. If you like high-end French restaurants, you will enjoy this place. The establishment is very classy and is in a good area. The only thing that is a drawback is the price. It's expected that this type of place would be expensive.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing experience at Fouquet 's for brunch.
We waited 20 mins for someone to come over and check on us to order. We got served filtered coffees that tasted as if a single nespresso pod had been used for an entire pot of coffee. The tablecloth was dirty with traces of pepper and coffee marks from the previous guests.I don't know what to say, it was a terrible experience in a place that should have every possible chance to be pleasant. We've had the pancakes before and they were very good and the omelette was perfectly acceptable, but with the level of service and the prices- I can't honestly recommend this place to anyone. The waiter was borderline rude when we communicated the issues, we asked to talk to the manager and she attempted to turn around the experience and was professional about it, but it was just too late.
Be the first to ReplyAmbience is absolutely amazing.
And the hotel is beautiful. Service is lacking far short of $1000 a night hotel. The prices also are quite high for the level of service. Will likely not come back. Burger was overcooked. Fries subpar.
Be the first to ReplyWe were very impressed with this restaurant.
It is expensive but worth it- food was excellent and beautiful ambiance. Big plus, noise level was good.

More of a scene than I expected, but unfortunately the emphasis is on the scene rather than the food. Food was just fine, but nothing particularly special. The service was just okay. Beautiful room.

THIS PLACE NEVER DISAPPOINTS! The perfect spot for a low-key dinner with good friends. From the moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by the gracious doorman who assigned a lovely representative to escort me to the dining room. As I was the first of my crew to arrive, I opted to wait at the bar where the wonderful barman met me with his newest tequila selections (he remembered I am Monsieur Tequila!), some tastings and finally my favorite cocktail. Once seated we had the escargot, the fluke and the tartare to start...ALL PHENOMENAL (I was especially surprised at the portion size of the tartare...enough for 3 to share heartily!) and the escargot's breadcrumbs gave an en croute vibe that was parfait! For mains, we had the absurdly delicious burger, the beautiful rib eye, and the succulent salmon done JUST RIGHT (I hate overcooked salmon!!). The sides were as impressive with substantial frites and delicately sauteed mushrooms. Finally, we closed the evening (and the resto...we forgot it was Sunday and lingered as if it was a Thursday night...sorry!) with the GORGEOUS chocolate cake... a sexy little giftbox comprised of chocolate in all of its formations. In one word, the experience here is always DIVINE!!!!

BEWARE when making a reservation, I canceled mine the same day BEFORE their 12pm cutoff and was still charged a $200 cancellation fee. 20 years living in NYC, I have never once been charged by a restaurant for cancelling, especially within policy. There's a first time for everything so exercise extra caution when booking.
Be the first to ReplyA very good restaurant.
A little pricey but the food was outstanding and the service was as good as it ever gets.

I just know this restaurant will quickly get established as a bougie NYC girlie staple, if it hasn't already. The space is beautifully designed, lots of pinks and gold when you walk in. There's Chanel and Dior bags on display. The main dining room is adorned with plush, bright red, velvet seats and modelsss. It even smells like luxury. The scent was mesmerizing. This review would be 5 stars if the drinks weren't outrageously overpriced for the quality. If I'm paying $30 a cocktail, I'm expecting a buzz, some frill and it to reach my table the second I order it. Not thirty minutes later. Everything else? superb. The fluke carpaccio was very fresh, balanced and cut well. I also had the Prime Dry Aged Beef Filet (8 oz). It was the perfect portion, chewing optional. It cut like butter. Honorable mention, the fries! They were light, crispy and perfectly salted. No oily fingers. Can't wait to visit here again. I'll just stick to the wine list.

I have been to this restaurant in Paris and had a truly memorable experience leaving me so exicted when it opened here in NYC. So disappointed! Very high priced, average food. Ambiance was beautiful however that is where it ends. The most disturbing part however is there is a Fouquet Menu listed on the website that offers a relatively reasonable 3 course menu for $110- including a glass of champagne. This would likely encourage your willingness to try them out however once you arrive you and are seated and handed the menu you discover the offer DOES NOT EXIST! In asking the waiter we were told he never heard of it, yet admitted many people come in asking about it. He stated that it was an error on the website. Error? It is the first thing that comes up, and is still there, btw. Once you're seated and review the menu it is clear you're in for a very expensive meal! If the food was extraordinary you can kind of allow it but not only was the offer very deceitful the food just doesn't cut it. To order off the menu the same items on the $110 menu came out to $215! Sorry, this is inexcusable at the very least and at the worst a bait and switch operation that borders on illegal. If the food was exceptional you can chalk it up to having a very expsensive memorable meal however instead we left feeling tricked and deceived. Again, the food was just ok which made it that much worse. If you want authentic French food there are so many better options.
Be the first to ReplySteak Tartar was good.
Cocktail menu are almost the same with Titsou Bar but $4-5 more expensive.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for their Valentine Day special.
Enjoyed the food and the ambience. Special call outs are the Pasta with Black Truffles (very creamy and generous portion of the fragrant truffle), the Escargot appetizer (shelled out escargots in a parsley garlic sauce), and the eye and taste pleasing desserts (signature Millefeulle and Chocolate with Passion Fruit).
Be the first to ReplyWas really excited to try this restaurant.
The greeter at the door was very friendly and welcoming and I liked the decor. The prices were a little above NY prices but the food and attitude of my server both were extremely disappointing. I found the preparation of the escargot was lacking and the Caesar salad overdressed. The reason for my review hinges mainly on the onion soup. After several spoonsful I told my server that it was way to salty and expected him to offer me a second choice or address my comment in some fashion. Instead, he ignored me and charged me for the soup anyway. Will not go back. Definitely not the place for "the customer is always right"!!!
Be the first to ReplyI ate here once and tried to go the second time.
no stars for service and attitude. give the staff a room with gold accents and they will act as butlers at a billionaires estate. Sorry guys still a tiny bar room on the first floor of a hotel with easy access from the street. The only good thing on the menu is their French onion soup. it's better than at walkers (local bar /tavern). burger is smash with two thinnest beef patty's ever but a delicious brioche bun (Whole Foods quality doused with butter) - $28 dollars. $8 for the butter. My friend had a regular mixed drink that came in a short glass (half filled) - $28 bucks. Second time I came at 5:30 pm on a Friday - the place was completely empty but for one table (seats maybe 150) and was told that they "were fully committed for dinner" - including no reservation completely empty bar seats. snooty male host with an air of a president of all the hosts - repeated this phrase 5 times as though I was deaf or an idiot from Ukraine. And i am originally from Ukraine so it stung a bit. decided not to bother with the president of hosts manager. went to spend my 100 at houseman. it was a tasty feast full of delightful libations. I live two blocks away and have seen all sorts of rude rude in Tribeca but this gets the prize. Granted I was not wearing a sportscoat - need to try that next time and see how fully committed this clown show really is.
Be the first to ReplyFouquet's or as I would call it; "f*** it".
Was nothing short of true French service. No one checks up on you, no one is showered, and no one quite frankly gives a damn if you live or die. Tables are locked and loaded with nepo babies with their mummy footing the bill for their $70 petit filet after their 7 out 10 failed passion 'parent-funded' project (take the bucket hat off). The employees insisted on speaking French despite the fact that they graduated penn state 7 years ago. Set aside 30 minutes to wait for your reservation and make sure you come prepared with your French-to-English dictionary so you can translate the table next you'd conversation about what type of drugs they're indulging on their next aspen trip. I will give the burger a 8/10, so that's why this gets a 2 star. The pickle was literally a cucumber and was quite literally insulting to my dietary needs. Try better! At approximately 10:59pm, we inquiries for desserts, but all we heard was the muffled sound of a sink disposal being turned on. Side note: they should really think about renovating the place. They subconsciously called us overweight when they served us fries instead of a salad. How French
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute worst service I have ever encountered.
Even after complaining multiple times they just couldn't get it together. Also the menu in not French its a cheap diner menu. Don't bother with this place.

Not a fan of writing reviews, however this location is fairly new so hopefully this feedback gets to the right person. My friend made reservations for the restaurant on a thursday night (i'd never heard of it). We came in for dinner service and the restaurant was full. We were early so the host directed us to have a drink at the bar across the hall. She answered questions about the location and was pretty nice. The bar was hidden in the hotel lobby behind what looked like a display shelf. Inside was beautiful and intimate. We order some burgundy's and enjoy the overall ambience. We go back to the restaurant and welcomed by the same host who then gets rudely interrupted by a woman in a suit. She asked for our name takes a while to look for it and directs a different host to seat us. We get seated and are asked for our name again. She goes to the front speaks to the woman in the suit and asks for our name yet again. We ordered and the food was good but we barely enjoyed because the same woman in a suit and the server came to our table more than once and we felt rushed. Although the server was very nice all of the questions that were asked annoyed us.

Came here for drinks and it was disturbingly bad to the point where it felt disrespectful given the price point. I ordered a French 75 and they served it using a bottle of flat Mionetto. It was undrinkable. When I informed the bartender that the cocktail was undrinkable and flat, he proceeded to open a new bottle of Mionetto and top it off rather than take back the cocktail and prepare a new one. It was still undrinkable and I regret not disputing the charge on my bill. I was shocked that a French restaurant of this calibre would use cheap, flat Prosecco for a champagne cocktail. This is something that I would maybe expect at an Applebees in Ohio, not a famed Parisian brasserie in Tribeca.
Be the first to ReplyI want to give it more stars, but that would not be fair.
I came here twice and both times the service was a pretty weird. First time, I came here for brunch and the lady wrote down everything we ordered, however she brought all the wrong dishes... not sure how that happened considering she wrote everything down... my boyfriend ended up eating not what he wanted and I ended up waiting for the dish that I ordered for another 15 minutes. Second time I came here (I decided to give it another chance) it was dinner. I came with a friend, it was a reservation for 2. They put us at the table for 4 people (?) and then continued to come up and ask my name to make sure the reservation is correct. I made a reservation on Resy for 2 people, I have the email from Resy. They asked 3 more times about it while we were already sitting at the table (annoying). Then we ordered some food and drinks and waiters literally would come up every 5 minutes asking questions, I couldn't even talk to my friend. The overall impression - they messed up our reservation and someone else's reservation, put us at the wrong table for 4 people and then were trying to get rid of us as soon as possible because other people were coming. I know it's a new hotel and I love that it's cute, but I wish they hired more professional staff because it ruins the whole experience. Regarding food: the food is good/okay.
