Great music, cold beer and a friendly staff! Going to try
Great music, cold beer and a friendly staff! Going to try the chicken and waffles... bathroom guy is the coolest!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a great spot for live music however the 10.
00 cover charge per person to get in should be only for those who are not dining. The food was mediocre. The ribs were decent however the beans and mac n cheese were bland. The blackened chicken carbonara is not recommended as the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was watery. Go for the atmosphere not the food.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service.
Didn't even make it to the food. I guess if you want good BBQ you need to get off the strip.

Food was really good , service was great , staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very fun ambiance , sat at the bar while a live band was playing. Very fun , great time. Food was great and very reasonably priced for the amount you get and where you are. Definitely go again.
Be the first to ReplyI didn't eat here, or spend too much time, but.
.. this did not meet my expectations. The music was too loud, too much bass and low energy crowd. I waited a while for a drink and gave up to leave.
Be the first to ReplyGreat band, food and service on a Sunday afternoon.
We sat too close to band for much visiting but enjoyed the top notch BBQ together
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I took the road trip to Memphis for the first
My family and I took the road trip to Memphis for the first time to catch the Lakers and Nuggets game. We didn't know too much about the city, but the one consistent message we read was to check out B.B. King's! This restaurant is located right on Beale Street and the vibe was great. We dined in on Saturday afternoon for lunch. We made reservations, but, frankly, I do not think we needed it (may be important for dinner on weekends). We were greeted by friendly staff and paid a $10 cover fee per person. The waitress then led us to our table and we were able to take in the scene- amazing! The decor was fun and we awaited the band to start playing again. I ordered the chicken and waffles- hands down the best I have ever eaten. The friend chicken had a nice crunch to it and the waffles were warm and fluffy. The syrup was out of this world. Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyThis is THE place to watch/listen to the blues on Beale.
The food was fine; I don't recommend the cocktails or weird shooters. Everyone, including the bouncers, were sweet and pleasant. I highly recommend!!
Be the first to ReplyThis is definitely a touristy restaurant.
There is a $10 cover charge. The food was good and the music was great. My only complaint was it took 45 minutes for our party of six to get our order. To be clear there were other people who were seated after us, who received their food first. Our food was hot when it came out, so at least it wasn't sitting around somewhere. Overall we had a good time.

My first stop this trip and I couldn't wait to see the new and improved BB Kings Blues Club and I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. 5:20 on a Thursday, the street is dead, a $10 cover for an adequate band at best. While the band is sitting on bar stools looking as bored as they can be... we are informed this was their last song before taking a break!!! WTH... Perhaps a little heads up at the front door would have been in order but Nooooo! Now I know why they didn't have change for a fifty at the door! As for the New BB's, I saw nothing of any relevance to report which could be a blessing! Joe the server was the only ray of sunshine so far!!! They wouldn't give back my cover but said I could return later if I wanted. We'll see...

While walking on Beale Street we stopped into BB Kings Blues Club for supper. Very delicious barbecue. We had pulled pork that was smokey and tasty. Mac and Cheese is the best I've ever had. We each were required to pay a $10 cover charge for the music but it was well worth it. We listened to two groups. Memphis Jones Band and The BB King Blues Club All Star Band. Both were excellent!! Warning! It is LOUD! Bring earplugs!

Fun lively and a great place to listen to live bands and eat good food. ...............,,.................
Be the first to ReplyYou have to visit this restaurant when you come to Memphis.
They have amazing staff and great artist that play live music at night. Me and my family came here twice on our vacation. Definitely get that homemade Mac n cheese. It's sooo good.
Be the first to ReplyPassing through Memphis and had to stop and check out the B.
B. King's Blues Club. Walked down Beale Street and enjoyed the festive atmosphere with the music and people watching. Hands down we had to stop in at B.B. King's Club. $10.00 cover charge for the live bands that were playing. Cover charge goes towards the band fees, at least that's what we were told. Payed our cover and we were seated upstairs. Ordered SOUTHERN FRIED PLATTER Our marinated catfish and shrimp are cornmeal breaded, served golden and crispy with sweet onion hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, comeback sauce, cocktail sauce and lemon. Catfish and Shrimp 24.99 Fries and coleslaw were good. Catfish and shrimp were flavorful and well seasoned. I would have preferred it fried a bit longer for a golden brown crunchy texture. Overall it was pretty tasty. PULLED PORK PLATTER Our pork is dry rubbed and slow-cooked until it is fork tender. Pulled and topped with BB's BBQ sauce, served with baked beans and coleslaw $19.99 Beans and coleslaw were good. Pulled pork was cooked to perfection well seasoned and Hawaiian bread complemented it perfectly. Made some sliders with the pork and coleslaw and the did not disappoint. Really enjoyed our stop here and the food was good and filling. lol very bands were great to listen to and added a cool vibe to the place.

Best shrimp and grits I've ever had! SO good! Grits were cheesy and crispy on the edges, broth had flavor and shrimp, sausage and vegetables perfectly cooked. Required no seasoning, which is rare for me. A big serving also, easily shared it with someone else. This entree felt like a warm hug. The banana bread pudding was good as well but I wish it had been heated up more and served with vanilla ice cream. Still good though. Restaurant is loud and busy with a cover band. Cover band was okay but they wanted $20 for each song request. Robbery.
Be the first to ReplyI tried to get into B.
B KING"s before but couldn't get in because of the Memphis in May crowd! Well this time I came in March and this place exceeded my expectations! The food, the service and the live music! Everything was so good and I can't wait to visit again!
