the experience here was very immersive.
my boyfriend and I happened to make our reservation on a Tuesday night during one of their burlesque performances which was a very nice surprise. they were out of olives when we went which was a little disappointing but they made up for it with their beautifully curated cocktails.

This place has a really cool vibe and is in a hidden spot in LA. However, I tried two of the drinks and they weren't that great... maybe I got the wrong drinks.

We went there on Saturday, November 11, 2023. It's gone. Several other potential customers walked up to the building and knocked on the door. It's a ghost town.

Came here for the 1st time and the atmosphere is really a vibe. Dim lights, old school sound the decor and ambiance is great. True to the core type of speakeasy. They welcomed us with bowl of popcorn and some fruit tea infused with liquor. It tasted great the service was good my water cup never got empty. Food was good not great but we were hungry and satisfied. I got chicken Caesar salad and friends got taquitos Definitely enjoyed ourselves and would like to come back to watch burlesque show. We also lucked out on street parking that is free after 8pm.

It's a really cool venue and Erica was lovely. The burlesque show was great and we had a great time. The burger was delicious and the cocktails too. I do wish they put a little more effort in their food service and choices. All in all a very fun experience
Be the first to ReplySorry I missed the doorman's name.
Nice guy. Zachy (pardon any misspelling) gave me a quick tour on my way to the bar, where Leah took great care of me with a dirty Gin martini, Salmon Crudo, and Short Rib pasta - all of which were amazing. Somehow I missed there would be an automatic 20% gratuity, which is the highest I've ever seen automatically assessed, though that's what I normally give for excellent service, which this was, so it simply saved me an extra step. I discovered this when the tab was presented. Can't wait to return! Only downside is it's about an hour away.

Went for my 33rd birthday I love gin very much it was a beautiful venue my friends came and just were not thrilled with the service with food was cool. The drinks were good but light if it makes sense ! I was however given birthday s'mores thankful for that ! Leo at the door definitely was the highlight of our entire night he was so pleasant I wish he was our table person I will try it again so with other friends and I loved the complimentary popcorn !
Be the first to ReplyHad such a great night with friends on Saturday night.
We had reservations at 6pm right when it opened. Love the speakeasy theme with a plain black door that doesn't even seem like the venue. Leo was fantastic and brought us to our table. We had the best service by Jess who recommended some great Gin options. We ordered the pasta, burger, ahi tuna and grilled cheese to share and it was all so DELICIOUS!! The vibes were great and definitely recommend going to check this out!

I hardly ever give reviews, but this one was a must! I came across this place from seeing someone speak about it on TikTok. This place was one of a couple of speakeasys we tried out Saturday night. The place is small but had a cute ambience, with minimal places to sit. You had to have a reservation to get a seat at a table, and we didn't have one...which was fine because we went on whim with no prior knowledge of how the place worked. We went to the bar which was very busy and order 2 drinks...a vodka gimlet and a Kettle One with pineapple juice. Since there was no place to sit, we went out on the balcony and stood near a heat lamp listening to the music, which was a good mix selection of throwback Pop, R&B and HipHop. After about 30 minutes later we order another round after that we decided to leave to head to the next spot. I go to the bar to close out; I am handed my tab and I almost fell over off the bar stool! Because when I looked at the bill I instantly thought they gave me someone else's tab because what I was looking at could not be correct! This place charged me $101 for 4 drinks!!!!! What in thee entire F@#K!!!! Are you serious?! That amount for some "just ok" cocktails?! Annnd they included gratuity for just 2 people! If I had known how they get down...I would have never stepped foot in there! If you like blowing money for nothing this is your place, but I will not be back...that tab was ridiculous!

This is one of our favorite LA/Hollywood speakeasy spots! The vibe is always just right, great music, and great drinks. The only downsize is that there is a 2 hr limit and some of the staff hovers and will remind you to the minute when you have 10 mins left on your table, a bit tacky for the type of place is suppose to be.

Based off of pictures and some social media post this place looked like it would be a mellow vibe. I was wrong to assume that. We arrive around 11pm to knock on the mysterious door to be let in. Aesthetically, this place is great. Dim lighting ,vintage furniture and decor. Even the bartenders and servers were dressed to fit the scene. I was really disappointed to see and hear a DJ playing obnoxiously loud music. You can even talk or have a conversation. Drinks were pretty good and prices were what you'd expect but don't take a date here.. unless it's with someone you don't want to talk to. If that's the case then this place is perfect. Or if you're mad at your significant other you can bring them here to scream at them and blame the loud music.

I've been walking past this place for quite some time and have always been curious about the line forming outside. After a dinner down the street with some friends on a rainy LA night, I politely asked some of the people in the queue what kind of place this is - which they replied, "it's a restaurant and bar, but tonight is Tuesday, so it's also a burlesque!". Well you can imagine, we needed nothing more to prompt us to join the line, and though we didn't have a coveted reservation that would get us a table seat, we were told we could find a spot at the bar if we liked. The whole place has the look of an old 1920's speakeasy and it's clear there was a lot of love put into it. There are tables around the edge of the place and 2 bigger tables in the center with their own sets of couches that can accommodate larger parties. The bar worked just fine for our needs. After a short bit of bar roulette, we got our drinks and were happily awaiting the burlesque ahead. I ordered the Duranzo Margarita off the menu and some had some wine. It was all well prepared and tasty. They had a bunch of nice bottles that would give anyone plenty to work with off-menu as well. The burlesque dancers were classy and fun and, after the third set, they laid out some envelopes for tips on each table. Definitely a cool and classy move. The MC for the night kept it light and easygoing throughout and the music was eclectic and hip.Due to the rains there was a bit of a leak in the ceiling but that happens. My only one wish for this place would be to improve the lighting, since the LED based bulbs they used take away from the transformative experience of being in an 1920's speakeasy. Otherwise, this is a hot spot with some cool and varied event nights for different strokes. Definitely going to come back with a resy and try some of the food next time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat cocktails and great ambience.
It's better than the blockbuster pop up they had next door. Bartenders were great at their creations

I genuinely cannot believe the experience. I came home with no communication and a $629 charge that I had to dispute. Disgrace!!! Before I write about our time there, I'll mention that this bar charged my card $629 without my authorization or giving me receipt or anything to sign. My friend put her card down to pay for the table, as we wanted to make it convenient for the staff and I took my card back in the beginning of that night to find out later that they charged me.We were there for a friend's birthday and we knew that the bar has a rule of a minimum $65 per person, but they could not give separate checks or take more than 4 cards from a table of 8-10 people. How do you charge 15 different people separately at the bar, but cannot accommodate a table that pays you $65 per person? We had a few different waitresses coming up to us asking same questions and taking same orders (hot mess). That kept happening all night and some orders got lost along the way, so we had to remind them. To make sure we hit the $65 value, people ordered more food and I ordered a drink. Shortly after people got food and right after I got my drink we were informed that WE HAVE TO LEAVE and give the table up. So my friends are trying to finish the food and I am literally sitting there with a huge glass of gin&soda LOL. My friend put her card down to pay for everyone - the receipt already had the tips included in the total, but it's one of those deceptive receipts when they give you % and a tip amount after the total to fool you into tipping even more (sooo shady - be aware). We had to hang out by the toilets and I was finishing my drink at the chair that they have by the sink LOL. The next day I see the charge on my card and both my friend and I are trying to get in contact with this place for two days with no success. Dear restaurant management and staff, if I were you and I found out that I charged a client/s card without their authorization after kicking them out - I would be mortified! This is beyond unprofessional and I hope a lot of people read this. I have never come across anything like that before even in the most fancy restaurants in LA.

What I love about burlesque is the build up, the tease, the crescendo. And my entire experience was this way with Bathtub Gin, our night just kept getting better and better. My friend and I had been trying to catch a show together for months, and we were finally able to rally the gal pals. We all dressed up in 20's inspired garb, and took ourselves out on a schmancy date. The staff were incredible, they were all polished, professional, and so helpful. The vibe was great and everyone there was having a great time. The food was tasty, the drinks were super delicious, and the setting was so unique and fun! Sprinkles on the cake were the MC and DJ, great job gents. But the piรจce de rรฉsistance, if you will, were the stunning burlesque performers. Holy wow!!!! From their costuming, to their hair & makeup, to their exquisite physiques... incredible artists all around. This was a super fun experience, and something I would recommend to anyone. Book early, like two weeks in advance for the Tuesday night shows. Bravo!
Be the first to ReplyDrinks were subpar and overpriced.
Bar staff were extremely rude. Multiple people from our party at two different tables complained about the two ladies. Food was okay. The only reason they received 2 stars was for the ambiance and wait staff who were very nice as opposed to the people behind the bar. To much competition in LA to have rude staff.
Be the first to ReplyThis is such a fun spot, accidentally found out about it
This is such a fun spot, accidentally found out about it when I went to the Blockbuster pop up and dang am I happy I did. There was a random door we knocked on, and once they opened the door you see stairs lit by little tea lights. Upstairs they had live music, the food was delicious and the people there were pretty nice. Oh and the drink they give you when you sit down is amazing, loved it so much.

Really wanted to give them a better score, but the service was lackluster.First off, you gotta find this place (it's an unmarked door next to the blockbuster pop up and no one was standing outside. We had to wait a few minutes until the door man came back out). They offer valet which is shared with a couple of other businesses. We went on Valentine's Day for the fixed course dinner with show. We had reservations for the early seating. We showed up on time and everything seemed to be rolling along smoothly. We were seated immediately and the server double checked our meal preferences. The first course came out pretty quick, even before we could order our cocktails. The second course was also pretty quick to come out and that's when the wheels fell off.We were the second to last table to get our main course even though everyone to our left and right received theirs. The burlesque shows are about 5 mins each and there are three of them. The dancers and host are great. Very entertaining and fun. After flagging down an employee....not our server because she was MIA, we finally got our main course. Fast forward another 30 minutes and EVERYONE else once again got their dessert as we waited. At this point, the later reservation group was standing around waiting for us to leave our table, but our desserts were nowhere in sight. After once again flagging down any one we could find, we were informed that the kitchen had fallen behind. After another 15 minutes, we gave up and asked for our desserts to go. They boxed up whatever they had (which wasn't what we ordered) and we finally vacated our table....20 minutes past the start time of the next group. The food was really good, the drinks were pretty small, the servers were nice, the show was entertaining and the venue is really cool. Just be prepared for pricey cocktails that are smaller than what you can get anywhere else and be prepared for tons of traffic in the area. We would come back for the show, but not for a dinner.
