This restaurant is a perfect place to have a delicious meal.
Unpretentious and not fussy. But delicious. Also be sure to have a reservation on Saturday night. We ate at the bar and saw many people turned away for lack of one. The servers were delightful but not hovering and made great suggestions. I had scallops and butternut squash soup with the rice pudding and Carmel sauce for dessert. The meal begins with this cute little egg and cheese appetizer. Highly recommend.

The food is exceptional. The service is friendly and efficient. It has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend this establishment to all with an appetite. The soup was fantastic, a creamy butternut squash with just the right amount of seasoning. We also had the a roasted marrow bone. It was so delicious my mouth still waters when I think about it. Cooked to perfection where it is a little crunchy on the edges and succulent and juicy on the inside. We had a country stew with pork beef and chicken that was also very satisfying. The gravy that it was all cooked in was outstanding. We shared a couple of desserts, not because we were still hungry but because everything else was so well done we didn't think we should pass up a good thing and we were not disappointed. The profiteroles, mana from heaven, next time I'm starting with that. We also had a lemon tart type dessert that was good and imaginative in it presentation, which I might have to try again only because I think I was too full to measure it on it own merits, I loved this place. If I could pack some in my suitcase I would. Unfortunately they don't do food to go at all.

Don't order grilled beef for two!!!Why? Because you will get tooooo much. When they bring me the huge dish, other customers asked 'Will you gonna eat all of them?' LOLAlso the water, you have to mention it is free water, otherwise they will charge you 6.5 euro for just a bottle of water!Anyway, like a cheating restaurant, never come here again

Such a great introduction to Parisian cuisine! It seemed like a small, family run business and the food was fabulous

We came here on New Year's Day as it was one of the fewer restaurants open for the holiday. There was a mixup with our reservation and it had gotten accidentally cancelled in the system, but we were seated promptly. I got the scallops main dish and a glass of white wine (€5). The scallops were yummy and not overcooked, and they were kind enough to switch out some ingredients to accomodate my allergies. The boyfriend also enjoyed his escargot starter and sausage main dish. Would recommend this restaurant!

After several hit and miss dining experiences in Paris, we decided to try Au Bob Coin on recommendation from our Airbnb host. It was decidedly one of the best meals that we had in Paris, and reasonably priced. For starters I had foie gras. It was lightly pan fried, and delicious. My wife had the octopus, which was a grilled tentacle approximately a foot long. A sight to behold when played!!For main course, I had roast lamb, which was perfectly seasoned, garlicky, and cooked medium rare. My wife had salmon, which was also cooked perfectly. Great wine and a very attentive waiter made the experience complete. Would highly recommend.

I was so glad to have found this place so close to where we stayed in Paris. From the TripAdvisor ratings, it looked like it was a favorite among locals, so I wanted to check it out.The place was cozy, I would say about average size for a Parisian restaurant, and the waitstaff was really friendly. They were open to giving suggestions on the wine selection which were really good, but most memorably, the waitress (manager? Owner? She seemed more in charge of the place than normal waitstaff) highly recommended this egg dish in a red wine reduction (It might be called Oeufs en Meurette.. thanks for the tip, M L.!), and it was amazing. Rich flavors with a delicious soft boiled egg, I really wish I could find something like that in the states. The soup was also delicious, I think it was a carrot soup with cremé fraiche.

I am glad to stopped by here during my last night in Paris but sad that I won't be able to dine here again for a long long time. The food was excellent and the wait staff even better! The female and male (did not get their names) had a total of 8 tables and a bar to serve. It was a full house, yet they were very attentive and kind - always smiling and quick to respond to inquiries. On a side note, they spoke English as well! The foie gras as an appetizer is a must try.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent experience overall.
Everything fit well. Escalopes de foie gas poelees, followed by filet d'omble chevalier a la plancha with wine choice. Service was very good and also value for the money.
