Not impressed, to be kind.
Above average food, but totally appalling wine stemware & service. Uncomfortable, crowded seating. Not at all sure how/why this establishment received anything close to a Michelin recommendation. Way overpriced.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant while visiting Vancouver. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Dinner was absolutely amazing. We had burrata to start. I had the gluten free pasta bolognese- which was honestly the best gluten free pasta I’ve had outside of Italy. Lovely panna cotta for dessert. The service was also impeccable. The only criticism I have for the meal was that I was surprised to see a charge for bread per person - we never informed or asked about this. We were also charged for sparking water per person. It would have been nice if this was listed on the menu. Just feels like this is a bit much considering the prices of the food. I would still highly recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was very disappointing.
This place is so over-hyped. The gluten-free noodles were good but the lamb ragu was not a good ragu at all. The service wasn’t great and the prices were far more than the meal was worth. The aperol spritz was $15 and was served as just one of those pre-mixed bottles with a cup. I never usually complain about a restaurant but we went for my mum’s birthday and left feeling very very disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food, drinks and staff!
The most cozy and wonderfully romantic restaurant, excellent food and staff, and incredibly tasty dishes! They have an incredible drinks list too. We went to many restaurants on our vacation and this was by far our favorite! We cannot wait to go back!

I can't resist congratulating this small eccentric restaurant for its incredible Italian cuisine and even in Italy... teamwork, nice welcome, snobs abstain... Italian cuisine revisited by a chef and his brigade: ricotta with Agen prunes, tagliatelle with carborara with an ooché egg... Excellent chef, always as excellent restaurant with a simple and efficient welcome,,,

Trendy little restaurant that you definitely should try!! They were accommodating and we were able to get a table without a reservation. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. I had the rigatoni a la bolognese and it was delicious.

Excellent service and amazing food to a reasonable price. With no reservation on a Saturday night there was about a 90 min wait. Just left them a number and then got a text when it was time. Since there are several nice places to get a drink in the area the wait wasn’t a problem.
Be the first to ReplyGood, but not the best
Firstly, make sure you book a table on their website, bc the restaurant is very small. The area is a little bit sketchy at night, but it's easy to park. I chose the "campanelle & wild boar ragu". It was good, but not the best. Service is great though.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and prententious
Visited this restaurant with our daughter and friends. It is what is best described as a yuppy restaurant. While the food was excellent, the prices were high and the wine prices were totally outrageous, catering only to those with a very large wallet - how about some wine for us mere mortals (cheapest wine was $75!!). Also the place is absolutely crammed, with barely room to breathe, let alone manipulate your eating utensils. Everyone is piled in and haven help access for anyone with a disability. And for relatively small restaurant the service was abysmal.

Simply deliciously. No words for this
Really we enjoy the most delicious past we ever try
Totally recommend. You need to make a reservation because is a small place
Waaaaay overrated
Small restaurant, tables so close together (without plexiglass in between) you could spit on your neighbours food, and very loud with so many people in such a small space. My pasta, the Fregola Sarda needed more sauce and was skimpy on the mushrooms. Expensive and way overrated. Service was good

The food and service here are exceptional. Takeout pickup was so organized
Food was packaged and left me with a warm and friendly feeling.
Italian Food At Its Best
We ordered the takeout menu. Pasta was delicious and the pick up order was waiting exactly at the time we arranged.

The food here was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to come back here again. The pasta was amazing, the short rib was amazing and the dessert was amazing! You definitely won't be disappointed here, the staff are incredible too. Till next time!
Be the first to ReplyAll round great restaurant
We visited this restaurant when it first opened for dinner, which was wonderful, and finally made it back for lunch a few days ago after many years of meaning to. Everything was great both times. Warm, welcoming service. Great food, well prepared using good local ingredients. Nice selection of Italian wines. We felt safe and well taken care of dining during covd-19, their safety protocols are clear and more than adequate, with physical barriers, social distancing and enhanced cleaning. We hope to be back sooner this time, and will definitely recommend.

We had a most pleasant culinary experience. The bocconcini appetizer was pleasant, but the ricotta raviolis was splendid. We had two different red wines, both very nice. We tried the olive cake which was beautifully cooked.
A great date night
Excellent Take Out Experience
We recently ordered take out and picked up the order ourselves. The service was good (order hot, ready and on time) and the quality of food was excellent. Some take out food does not travel well, especially salads. But they package well, dressing on the side. Both pasta and desserts were 5 star. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant and it should be supported in these difficult times!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent small Italian restaurant 🙌
We have been very careful selecting restaurants around the city due to COVID, when possible giving preference to small places. It was a great choice yesterday on Ask Luigi! It is really small, the service is 100%, amazing food is good price. We went very Italian sharing everything from appetizers to dessert and it was a blast!
Downside?.... hmm... wine is served on tiny glasses. I asked why and they said is due to their lack of space for storage. 🤷🏻♂️. We will definitely visit again!
Realy good experience, quaint little place
Went here with my wife as we had heard so many good things about it. We went about 20 minutes before they opened for lunch and we were already 5th in line. You gotta get here early if you don't want to wait in line. They take care of the line pretty well with a hostess that regularly comes out and takes names and checks on the line so you don't feel out of place.
The service here is great and it really seems like the staff love what they do. The food is also phenomenal. I was looking to give this place a 4 star and trying to convince myself that the food can be better. Things like it was a bit oily or that I didn't care for the bread, but honestly, you have to be lying to yourself if you find the food anything less than 5 stars. Its so far beyond the type of food we are used to in Vancouver.
