Arte culinario Jardín Japonés ( restaurante) Palermo Reviews from The Last Year
A change from Argentinian food
They have most of the Japanese classic dishes, and that’s the main reason for eating here. A change from other restaurants in town. Compared to other Japanese restaurants, the food is average though.
Very bad timing and paying dearly for bad cuisine.
Reheated and moist schnitzel. In the Poke bowl it was all reheated food served with flavorless rice fresh from the microwave. Expensive, bad taste. You can't serve such unpleasant dishes. We have never had such a bad meal at the Japanese Garden. Please check what the staff does.
Tourist, but delicious
The restaurant is touristy, inside the Jardín Japones park, but I found the service excellent and the food was delicious! I'm a sucker for tempuras and the Ebi Tempura was super tasty, well seasoned, crunchy with a thin batter. Big prawns, 5 or 6 came, I don't remember. We also ordered the vegetable Spring Roll, which was also dry, thin crust and good filling. Price above average, but great service, kind and practical, as well as a beautiful view. They charge 400/person for the service.
Japanese garden in Argentina
Very good food and excellent atmosphere surrounded by the garden, which gives you an excellent feeling of being in Japan, being in Argentina. Very cordial attention.
Worst Japanese food ever!
This was some of the worst Japanese food I have ever eaten. The Sushi Rice was terrible, the fish was not sushi grade, the ramen noodles were hard, the dumplings were hard and the service was horrible! Don’t waste your time and money here. Just enjoy the beautiful garden and eat somewhere else.
Japanese Garden Restaurant!
We were visiting the park and decided to have lunch here. Good food, good service and prices above normal, because it is touristy. Thanks for the practicality!
Disappointment
We ordered the shrimp starter and it was disappointing. At the entrance to the restaurant, the dishes are displayed, but they don't even remotely correspond to the reality of what was delivered. The seafood yaksoba was flavorless. What saved lunch, at least, was the spring roll. Photos of expectations and reality are attached.
Tasty food
This restaurant is located inside the Japanese Garden in Buenos Aires. We sat at a table outside and the service was very good. The oriental food dishes were very tasty. There was some delay with the credit card machine, but everything ended up being fine.
Frustrating
It only opened at 5 p.m. when there were still people having lunch, so it greeted us with the smell of frying. While I was waiting to enter, 1/2 hour, I saw that there was a window with the specialties they prepare. I chose 2 Japanese pastries to accompany my tea. Surprise when they were served they were noticeably smaller than the ones in the window. I felt cheated. The tea is served in a small ceramic glass without handles, so if you want to drink it hot you will burn your hands. The teapot is large but contains water for only 1 tea. The atmosphere was modified, it is no longer the original, the boxes, tables very close together and very noisy were eliminated. Extremely expensive for what it is
