We dined last night and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant with the dj playing, low lighting and watching the chefs plate the food was interesting. The service was brilliant, a big shout to Antonino, who was attentive and let us feel welcome on our first visit. He was very professional and friendly. The food was great tasting, fresh, and plated beautifully. We will definitely return soon!

Be the first to ReplyExemplary service, great food.
This restaurant is top notch, it’s an experience, if you want great food and fantastic service, you are at the right place. The drinks are custom made, they also make sure you are happy. Our waiter for the day was Federico! He is one of the best you’ll ever see in the world. He is passionate about his craft, and looks out for you all the time. Sometimes I think he’s a mind reader because while I’m thinking I need something, he pops up next to me with whatever I think I need. Federico Is a model waiter and I won’t be surprised if he becomes a superstar celebrity waiter very soon. One thing that everyone should know is that all these goodness don’t come cheap, it’s central London location, views at the rooftop is spectacular, it’s prime real estate, service is great and food is to die for, so expectedly it is not cheap. I was happy to pay. This is my second visit, the first time was great but I don’t rush to write reviews, my second experience was even better so I felt compelled to write this review My recommendation is if you can, do it. You won’t be disappointed, your guest will appreciate you more.
Be the first to ReplyA lovely Japanese restaurant
Wonderful and friendly staff, high quality ingredients are prepared in all their dishes. Expensive but you pay for quality. Lovely ambience as well.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing sushi and great terrace
One of the most lovely terraces in the centre of London. Loved the sushi just perfect probably only few other restaurants and I can rate so good
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing. Rude staff and overpriced food
Just celebrated my daughter's birthday here. What a disappointment. Firstly we were not allowed on the roof terrace because my son was under 18. Specifically booked here because of the roof terrace there is no mention that children are not allowed on it apparently after 3pm. Staff claim its on their website but I can't see mention of it. The staff were unfriendly and arrogant, especially at the reception, not a pleasant atmosphere. Had informed them that this was a birthday celebration and asked for a cake but nothing had been organised. So disappointing. The food was nice but very over priced. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the money
Rude staff, do not fill drinks in the bottomless brunch, have to keep asking. Didnt even get my last drink. Had an email from the manager asking for feedback but obviously because it wasnt good he didnt reply. Went to have a drink on the balcony in the sun, no staff at the bar to serve you. Our waitress was moody and so unfriendly, we said please remove the service charge and her snappy response was “why?” Foods nice but you sont get half as much as you get at ROKA. Not worth the money. Go ROKA, NOBU or Sexy Fish instead, service is much better, they actually appreciate having you. Will not be returning to this place.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and views from rooftop bar service. Service not so much.
The food is excellent. Lovely outdoor terrace. Indoors very dark and clubby. I really wanted to like it more but I feel the service is a miss. I got the impression they thought we were lucky to be there. Sat down and asked for drinks to be given menus and basically told to order all food now (our concept is sharing/ no courses/it comes when it comes…yawn) because the kitchen is closing soon. How relaxing. Felt like they should’ve asked us to come sooner as this wasn’t clear on booking. 2 birthdays in the group. No recognition. Would go back for drinks (oh yeah and you have to pay for them separately rather than add to table) but prefer my service more customer focused.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive and not worth the spend
Very very expensive sh*t! Bad service and not worth the money. I would certainly avoid it in the future. Was a great place to go earlier and one of my favourites a few years ago but I would not be going now.
Be the first to ReplyAverage
The food was delicious but it is extremely pricey for the portions you get. Every dish took ages to come and the staff seemed a bit clueless Cocktails are nice
Be the first to ReplyShocking service, rude staff. Avoid at all cost.
I was out with my friends for brunch, Unfortunately I regret going there. We ordered the £99 bottomless brunch package. We only had 2drinks, we called the waiter to fill up our glass and was told we couldn’t get anymore as the time had passed. We explain that we only had 2 drinks and felt like we didn’t get what we expected “bottomless”he then agreed to give us more drinks but poured aggressively and left. We then wanted to seat out at the terrace area where one of our friends was already there. We were told no. Staff are rude and arrogant. They look down on customers especially black females. My friends and I wanted to enjoy the day, catch-up and have some fun. Our day was ruined and we left the place feeling extremely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. No one goes out to pay almost £300 for lunch to be treated like that. Rude and arrogant staff. Shocking service. Management need to train staff on customer service.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible
The food was cold. The service did not reflect the price. Meat portions were way too small. I ended up going to a mc Donald’s afterwards because I was so hungry. Not the best experience, at all.

super touristic. food was just ok. we did the "experience menu" that had some good things but mainly unmemorable. long waits between courses..45min at one point. took 3.5h for the meal...maire d' got very huffy when we asked about the lack of drinks or the where the food was coming, we were thrown a drinks menu but never asked what we wanted from it. Service not very organised, music very loud.
Be the first to ReplyPre theatre menu
I arrived on an early evening so the venue wasn't crowded, howver the outside terrace facing Oxford st was crowded with people having drinks.
I ordered the tempura prawn as a starter followed by the salmon main and forest floor dessert, i was quickly served the miso soup after placing the order.
The tempura prawn was nice and came in a generous serving and the salmon was placed on top of some noodles. Forest floor dessert was nice with chocolate crumble presented as the soil of the forest. Service was attentive and quick.
Gorgeous dinner
We came on Saturday night and had a gorgeous meal. All of the food was super fresh and really tasty. It was really busy, but the service was still fab. The cocktails were also really good.
Because it was so busy, it was really noisy and there were young girls in the toilets having a full on photo shoot which was annoying. Maybe I’m just getting old though!
Good food, service not so much
I went to Aqua Kyoto for an anniversary dinner with my partner. We had an early reservation so when we arrived most tables were empty yet it took the waitress a long time to take our order. We were served by a few different people, some nicer than others. Unfortunately, our main waitress seemd mostly uninterested in us and was not very pleasant to deal with. The food itself was really good though, the matcha noodles were particularly delicious. The presentation was also beautiful. We decided to skip the dessert (I'm lactose-intolerant and all options had dairy in them anyway) but ordered more drinks.
Before my partner got his drink, we were handed the check and told they needed our table but they could offer as a table in the bar area. We didn't mind as our reservation was for two hours, however it should've been handled better. We still had at least 15 minues left and I didn't appreciate being rushed by the waitress that took so long to take our order in the begining. My partner noticed his last drink wasn't on the check and asked if they'll bring it to him at the bar and the waitress said yes. When we moved to the bar, the person there definitely did not expect us and could only offer us table without chairs. We ended up having to move two more times before we were finally able to sit down and my partner still hasn't gotten his drink at that point. He talked to the person who sat us twice but to no avail. He wanted to order it from the bar but the bartender said only the restaurant serves that particular drink. Eventually, after maybe half an hour, he talked to the manager and finally got it, on the house. It was all a bit ridiculous.
Overall, most of our experience was positive but I probably won't be back due to the level of service that did not match the price tag.
Wonderfully creative cuisine and fabulous cocktails
We had dinner here before a performance at the Palladium, which is directly opposite. The menu was very impressive, the cocktails were delicious and the service was excellent in spite of the restaurant being very busy. It's a beautiful, stylish space as well. This really is the place to go for innovative and exploratory Japanese cuisine and we will most certainly be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pre theatre meal and cocktails
Went here on the pre theatre menu , which was great , food was excellent and service was spot on , £98 for two set meals , two cocktails and two beers. Recommended
Be the first to ReplyThere are better places
The food here is underwhelming and the service is terrible. The sushi we had could have been from a supermarket, very average and no attention to detail.
Service was exceptionally slow, an air of arrogance from staff at the entrance and from our waitress. There are plenty of other better sushi restaurants in London. Avoid this one.
