I went this Saturday for Brunch.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. The food was good. I ordered blueberry pancakes with sausage on the side. It would've been nice to have a turkey or chicken option for the meat but they only sell pork. I would like to try there dinner menu next time.

Be the first to ReplyThe most cringe dining out experience I have ever had.
Me and my friends were excited to check this place out and drove up from south philly. We are the most low maintenance foodies. We had a reservation, sat then weren't acknowledged by a server or given water for over 20 mins despite numerous servers making eye contact. Had to go up to the hostess to alert them. Manager came over, apologized for wait, said first round of drinks would be on the house. Finally were approached by a server (absolutely reeked of cigarettes) who barely said hello, didn't apologize for the wait, immediately asked for our orders. We put in our drink and appetizer orders and the server immediately told us "so it's getting to be a busy night so I need all your orders now." Little rude to rush us after we were waiting for so long already..also a little cringe since at least 6 open tables had opened up right behind him. Whatever. We gave all our orders. As we waited for food we heard servers telling other patrons what the specials were.. which our server didn't tell us. Linguini and seafood was good (or at least I think it was...maybe I was just hungry at this point). Octopus was overcooked and way too seasoned. Server came back in a little to check on us and my friend was about to ask for water but the server had walked away so fast without even hearing our response if we needed anything else. When we asked for a dessert menu, we were definitely getting the rushed vibes again. Manager never came back to check on us. Despite passing us many many times. To top it off, my friend was holding the front door open for less than 10 seconds while our other friend buttoned her coat. One of the staff gave us the most obnoxious nasty look for holding the door open and letting the cold in for a second. So appalling and cringe. If the manager had bothered to check on us again maybe we could have remedied our opinion but it was just straight up poor service overall. Maybe it was a bad night for the SEVERAL employees who gave us bad vibes... maybe they were understaffed.. but the multiple reviews about bad service don't lie. This place makes you feel burdensome for coming out to eat after a long hard week. Not at all worth the money. Go somewhere else.

walked in and the bartenders were giving dirty looks and saying stuff under their breath. sat down and had to wait 20 minutes to get acknowledged. waiter told us we had to order everything at once as they were too busy - basically rushing us. he never told us the specials but heard him telling the table next to us - we had already ordered at this point so it was pointless to ask him to tell us the specials now. food came and everything was delicious it's just a shame that the service was horrible - especially for the pricing.

First I want to thank Antonio for making our day so memorable. The staff was so supportive of our rearranging the room to create the look we wanted. They moved tables, and decorations without hesitation. They were attentive to all my guests. You can see they genuinely are happy there. The food choices from pastry platter and avocado toast and stuffed focaccia bread to the entrees and dessert did not disappoint. Adelina's is situated on the corner of Germantown Ave. The windows bring in the light from all angles. Without hesitation I will look forward to experiencing another visit. Beware of the expected parking in the back. On a Saturday you may have to wait quite awhile for a spot to open up. There is free parking on side streets on Saturday
Be the first to ReplyWent here on Sunday for my nephew's birthday.
I'll start by saying the sitting is extremely way to tight, we had a bit of a wait just to be served. I've seen lots of great reviews however the food we had was horrible. No love with the dish what so ever. I had the Linguine and it had no taste to it seafood was practically raw. At the end knowing we were there to celebrate a birthday they did not even bring out a dessert for him. I would not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time here and would never go back.
Walked in for our brunch reservation and we were greeted by the hostess with, "Who are you?". The service and food continued to deteriorate from there. Including when we asked for a coffee refill from the waitress as she dropped off our food (she was not the waiter who took our order). She asked who our waiter was, we didn't know his name because he never introduced himself. We looked around for him and he wasn't on the floor, she insisted on his description and we finally said, can you just bring us more coffee? Her response, "I'll go tell your waiter." The food was also bad. Eggs were cold, potatoes were soggy. Do not waste your time or money.

The designer did a great job making this restaurant seem cozy but romantic and a little trendy, especially the bar area. We visited on a crowded Friday night and every seat in the place was taken. Overall, I enjoyed our food and the service was fine. They ran out of my drink of choice and when they gave me a glass of champagne, it was flat. That was disappointing. Like, can you not see that it has nary a bubble? I ordered a different drink the second time and it was fine. I don't like making a fuss. I feel like restaurants should pay attention to detail and that was a noticeable detail. The food was good. I ordered a seafood pasta and I got a great-size portion with plenty of seafood. The flavors were fine. The best I've ever had? No but it was good and I enjoyed it. My date ordered a steak that was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it, if you enjoy a big piece of beef. I'd come here again and try some other dishes. I think they have a little ways to go if they want to be top tier but they are off to a good start.

Adelina's is a stunningly beautiful restaurant, one you would expect to see in center city, not in a neighborhood. Five of us ate there last night, and all five raved about the food. It is pricey, and the portions are not huge, but considering the entire experience, you get what you pay for. We particularly liked the risotto dishes, the crudo and the pomegranate gelato. Our primary server, a handsome young man with a thick Italian accent (he said he is from Calabria), was charming and efficient with a smile that does not leave his face. The "runners" were fine, too, as was the hostess at the front desk. Free parking is available in the lot in back of the restaurant. For me the only negatives were the cocktail (I forget the name, and it is not on the website), which tasted more like a "mocktail" since I could not taste any alcohol, and the glass of Chenin Blank/Viognier, which was tasteless. (I normally love Viognier.) The beverages are the reason for the four-star rating. Otherwise, five stars.

My partner and I just gave Adelina's a second try (we came when it first opened and didn't like it) and it was EXCELLENT. We ordered two salads: fennel and the Italian and both were delicious. The fennel was a great cold, crisp citrusy, mouthful. We split the gnocchi and meatballs for our entrees. The meatballs were tender and very flavorful. The gnocchi had a nice chile kick to it simmered by the mascarpone cheese in a pink sauce. The gnocchi melted in your mouth. Like little pieces of velvet. Dessert did not disappoint. We had both flavors of gelato: chocolate chip and dark cherry. An amazing combo on the plate together. The Adelina's old fashioned with Mezcal (instead of tequila) was a perfect start to an excellent dinner. So happy we tried this neighborhood spot again. Sam, our server, made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back!

The only good part about this place is the location and the inside. It is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but not in any other way. The service was sub par the best part was the hostess and the bus boy (hope they get the tips). The food was not great... no flavor to the mussels, sandwiches or truffle fries. Drinks, also subpar... how hard is a well known cocktail? For $17 don't come here to find out.
