Unforgettable dinner with creative menu, great ingredients and service
We decided to try this 2-star Michelin restaurant in Rome as they are known for the best seafood in Rome. We had one of the tasting menu, Periplo, a 7-course tasting menu. We didn't go with the wine pairing as we can't drink too much. We ordered a glass of chardonnay to start with instead. We were served with a few of beautiful complimentary Antipasti, very refreshing. All the dishes starting from the bread and paste to salad, pasta, fish, dessert were creatively designed and presented. We were surprised by every single dish. We were so full after the dinner. I would say very value for money for a dinner in a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Andrea and his team was very professional and friendly. The ambience was romantic with classical music on the background. We would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy romantic fine dining with your loved ones.

Menu is limited to a choice of 2 tasting menus. We chose the seafood menu. The wine list is very extensive but no meaningful guidance is provided to assist with making a selection. The staff were very formal but politely attentive , not warm or welcoming. The pre dinner canapรฉs were varied and delicious. The seafood dishes were creative with interesting presentation but many were served raw and/or undercooked . One expects a Michelin star restaurant to be expensive but in this case the cost exceeded the value of the experience.

What an exquisite Experience we Had last night. Everything starts with an amazing selection of couvers, homemade smen butter and warm foccacia. But what follows afterwars are Unique, tasty and unforgettable plates. Presented in modern and stylish Way. Service is great and the Wine pairing So perfectly executed. Well Done!

For those of us passionate about exemplary cooking (on both sides of the kitchen), Michelin stars carry great weight. On the whole, their Guide is the most reliable, in-corruptable and consistent over the years. Modern astronomy has many types of stars, Michelin just three levels, one, two and three. But, as in the physical universe, stars come and go, grow brighter and dimmer. All an elaborate introduction to say this is a very solid star, and could become a two star restaurant.
All of which boils down to you should have a very enjoyable dinner here. Even though we took the most modest of the three menus, every morsel was delicious, insightfully prepared and distinctive. The wait staff is alert, agreeable and generally there to insure your meal is presented artfully and at the right pace. A few minor quibbles: why bring out the amuse de bouche before the patron has had a chance to select or sample the wine? Also, why place the wine cooler 5-6 meters away from the table? Yes, our glasses didn't run dry; but the water was on a shelf above my head, and there is no need to prove you can beat me to filling my glass.
Whenever you are in the realm of experimental gastronomy, something can go quite wrong or right. The diner is in new territory. Here, the combinations all worked well and several incredibly so. The carbonara with toasted eel was especially brilliant.
We enjoyed our meal, and were pleased to see the chef come out and stop at each table for a moment or so, to confirm that his patrons were happy. We would like to come back and try the other menus.
The wine list is extensive, with some obscure and exotic choices, and in the case of our beloved Ligurian wines, poorly represented. Still, we selected a lovely Sardinian Vermentino that enhanced our dining experience.
