Prior to arriving, we were a bit mystified as to how the menu actually works and the portion sizes. The waiter did a terrific job explaining the menu and we had a wonderful experience. This was a celebration of our 45th wedding anniversary. It could not have gone better. My family has enjoyed meals at this location since the late 1940s. My parents had dates and celebrated their engagement at Loch Ober's, I closed business deals in the private dining rooms, we celebrated my mother's 75th birthday here. It is nice to see how you have appropriately memorialized the spirit of Loch Ober's and brought it to modern times.

What a wonderful restaurant! The ambience is incredible and the service was great!y husband and I tried this place out and enjoyed the cocktails. I had the hot and dirt and he has the old fashioned- both were unique and enjoyable. We shared a few plates and everything we got was divine. What I love about this place was their willingness to accommodate my celiac. Our server Jose walked me through what was possible for me on the menu and pointed out other items that could accommodate my celiac. This is a tapas restaurant, so it was nice to try a bunch of different items.
Great vibe!
Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere. We enjoyed it! Excellent for date night or out with friends. Great vibe and beautiful restaurant

What can I say, this is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. Also for pizza lovers, they serve it here and it is simply delicious. I wanted something summery and the bartender gave me a drink that was amazing, so aromatic, fresh and very tasty for a summer evening. It is a nice place to spend time with your company.
This place was top notch in service and vibe.
..from the outside you have no idea then wow. 100% going back every visit to Boston..
Couples Dinner
One of the best restaurants I've been to in many years. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Lighting, music, architecture. The menu is tapas style with an array of options. We highly recommend the hummus and brussel sprouts. The buttermilk soft-shell crab was overly fried. Many unique cocktails (including mocktails) on the menu. I recommend the Cashmere thoughts.
The atmosphere at Yvonne’s is beautiful — low lighting, elegant, and much nicer inside than you’d guess from the outside. It feels perfect for a special occasion. That said, the food was just okay and didn’t stand out, and the cocktails were disappointing — light on alcohol and very pricey for what you get. The same goes for the “Feasts,” which sound abundant but come in smaller portions and are definitely overpriced. I’d recommend it if you’re going for the ambiance, but personally, I don’t think I’d return.

Unassuming from the outside and location, this place is surprisingly large and nice. We stopped in only for drinks, so I can't comment on the food, but we really enjoyed selves. The drinks took time to make, and each one was well crafted with a lot of detail in the garnish and time in the shaker.
The ambiance of the actual restaurant is beautiful.
We came here around 9pm and tried to get in for drinks. There were 2 hosts at the desks that completely ignored us for a solid min while on the phone/doing idk what at the desk. At the very least greet the guests and say they will be right with you. We didn't have a reservation and no tables were available. We were informed bar seating was first come first serve but there was none available. Based on the vibes from the host stand alone I probably wouldn't return. If you do go reservations are needed.

Had such a great experience here! The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the vibe of the place was warm and welcoming. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor--clearly made with care. The menu has a nice variety, so there's something for everyone. Our food came out hot and perfectly timed, and the portions were just right.
Excellent experience with a distinct West African cuisine, explained to us with patience and high level professionalism.
This is a great place if you are willing to try something new (not the classical Italian or French restaurant). The service was excellent (especially the waiter José, from Mexico, who patiently explained to us every dish)

My wife and I joined another couple to try this out when we were in Boston. It was a very good experience all around. It was at the back of a side street, so it was a little difficult to find. Once we found it and went inside, the host greeted us. The entry point was a little stark, so we were a little surprised. However, the host took us to our friends who got there ahead and were seated at the bar. When we walked into the main room, it was beautiful. The bar was luxurious. Beautiful seats and incredibly well decorated. The entire space was opulent to say the least. We decided to go to our table and start the festivities. Our server was fantastic. She took care of us all night and made excellent suggestions for what to order from the large number of choices. Before we get to the food, I have to mention the cocktails. They were FANTASTIC. The serenade martini was very flavorful. A bit small but tasty. I drank those all night versus switching to wine. Everyone said the wine choices were great. The food was excellent. One thing to note is that it comes out QUICKLY. So much so that I was worried that everything was prepared ahead. If it were, it certainly didn't taste like it. The plates are there to share, but are small. We were 4 adults and ordered 2 Snacks and 6 Social Plates. The Moroccan lamb belly, Ricotta fritters, and trumpet mushrooms were standouts. We split two desserts - cheesecake and carrot cake. Sorry for the lack of pictures, but the place stimulates conversation and eating. If you want to try a new place, you need to try Yvoone's. You won't be disappointed.
Celebrated a graduation here and I'm glad that we did.
Everything was on point in my opinion. From the food to the ambiance, this establishment seriously impressed me. The star of the show was the food to me. I'm usually pretty good about snapping pics of the grub but I was just chowing down hahaha My favorite style is tapas and combined with Mediterranean food. This place checked both boxes so I was bound to be a happy camper. I loved the tuna and the octopus! Their meat was also sensational. Cannot forget the pita as well. There wasn't a dish I tried that I didn't fully like.

I went to yvonne's on a date with my fiancé and we were raving about our bartender Jose. Super fast making drinks, dude means business. Great recommendations, and to my dismay my fiancé would not stop talking about his charming smile. La vita is his cocktail ! felt special having it made by the guy who created it. 10/10
Oysters are great as are the varied cuisines
Atmosphere was remarkable. Oysters were great as were the dumplings. Wide range of varied cuisines that that probably require repeated visits. Tapas options are a great method of sampling
Stylish night out for cocktails, more bar than restaurant for me
Classy restaurant with great decor, cocktails & atmosphere. However the menu was a bit strange - tapas style sharing platters but from a mix of cuisines, so order carefully. Tuna & octopus great, lamb very fatty and not as spicy as good harissa should be. Service average - got one of our order wrong.
Unique dining experience
Probably the most unique dining experience we had whilst in Boston. A varied and interesting menu and we naturally over ordered but it was great to try such creative and delicious dishes. The atmosphere was also great and we sat in an area of the restaurant that looked like someone’s lounge. A memorable time for sure!
Delicious Middle-Eastern fusion
Delicious Middle-Eastern fusion restaurant downtown with gorgeous interiors. Cheerful service. Nice cocktails. Confusing menu (similar to menus in China, organised by composition of the dishes rather than progression of the meal) but everything was great. Particularly enjoyed their boozy version of Baked Alaska for dessert. Bring your appetite! Will be back.
elite restaurant
1st time experiencing Yvonne’s and the atmosphere is beyond words. It’s truly breath taking aesthetic of a vintage New York vibe. The lazy lobster dumplings are amazing and truly a starter to start off with before your dinner. The espresso martini was okay but the passion fruit mule was very refreshing.
Wow! What an experience.

We were able to enjoy our food and drinks with good service. I would definitely come again!
Came and sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers.
The ambiance was amazing and the drinks were great. Definitely recommend checking out the meatballs!
One of my favorite spots in Boston and probably my most
One of my favorite spots in Boston and probably my most frequented. Whether you're looking for a special occasion dinner or just drinks at a bar that looks like a high-class speakeasy, this is the place. Always packed weekend so be sure to make a resy for dinner. The bar is also always packed. Love that they're open til 2am. They have a downstairs speakeasy too that you can request for dinner- have dined and partied there and it's cute (video on my IG @foodiesnapstagram). Decor is eclectic and elegant all around. Drinks are great and bartenders are very profesh. Awesome location.

instagram.com/reel/C9RXQ-quyMc/?igsh=MTI4ZmtnNXZjOWhidg== Nestled in a handsome hideaway accented with marble and mahogany wood, Yvonne's is a refined yet playful supper club in Boston that exudes elegance and charm. We recently celebrated a birthday here and were treated to an exceptional dining experience, featuring a diverse array of dishes that impresses. Here are some supper to highlight: Baked Oysters "Savannah"- Duxbury oysters with lobster porcini cream and Parmesan. Rich and perfectly baked. 10/10 Spring Mezze -Beet whipped feta, habibi hummus, baby artichokes, snap peas, pea greens, and za'atar pita. Savory and harmonious. 10/10 Thai Octopus - Tom kha coconut sauce, maitake mushrooms, snap peas, and crispy shallot. Tender and aromatic. 9/10 Lazy Lobster Dumplings - Ricotta dumplings with black truffle butter, onion crunch, and lemon crema. Not bad, delicately flavored. 7/10 Wild Gulf Shrimp - Green mojo, pimentón, fingerling chips. Succulent with vibrant flavors. 10/10 Moroccan Lamb Belly - Harissa asparagus, charred tomato taktouka, spiced honey, crispy lentils. Flavorful with a perfect blend of spices. 9/10 Each dish showcased thoughtful combinations of ingredients and expert culinary craftsmanship, making our celebration memorable and delightful. Yvonne's impeccable space and spacious yet clean restrooms are complement the whole experience.
Wow! What a wonderful experience
Coming in we didn't think a lot but then you get in and the place is so nicely decorated like old days library with books. Food was excellent. Ever portion was perfect for sharing and all were very tasty. Service was superb and very friendly
5 Stars for ambiance that can't be beat and fantastic staff.
I was looking for a vibey cocktail spot after grabbing drinks at another local spot and Yelp didn't let me down! When you enter this restaurant you will immediately be met with low lighting and a gorgeous interior. It's much larger than I expected, and they were able to fit us in at the bar. Frankie, our fabulous mixologist, was a delight! She helped guide us to some great cocktails, my favorite of which was the Come Clean. This cocktail consists of mezcal, green curry, bell pepper, lime leaf, Thai basil, cilantro, green apple, coconut, lime, and whey. WOW. It was like having a smoky Vietnamese dish as a cocktail and it was DIVINE. I got the last one they had available that night, otherwise I would've been three-deep by the end of our seating. For bites, we started with the Chicken & Quinoa Meatballs. These were big and covered with a Chinese garlic sauce, spicy mayo, peanuts, and jalapeños. I would definitely order them again, but they are in the Social Plates section of the menu for a reason! We also got the Gobi Manchurian stone fired pita, which is vegetarian and includes fried cauliflower, paneer, Kashmiri, mozzarella, and Manchurian chili sauce. I was a bit bummed because it was definitely more pita and sauce than toppings. I couldn't find the cauliflower at all, but it was tasty. Finally, we got the Berber Lentil Fritters from the snacks menu. These fritters have sweet pepper cheese, manchego, and spicy pickled carrots. As another vegetarian dish, this was a solid option and definitely satisfied! Overall, we had a great time here! I'd absolutely return for a longer visit and will be ordering the Come Clean cocktail every time! Frankie

From our greeting at the door from the lovely hostess, who had a great personality, to our server and our complete overall experience a ten. Every dish we had was cooked perfectly and I am chef and Restaurateur in Los Angeles area. David Slay
Amazing experience as always.
The staff is always accommodating and Olivia the manager went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent.
Excellent food
My husband and I recently visited Yvonne’s and it was great. We had reservations and were promptly seated. It was louder than we anticipated but that was ok. The menu ranges from small bites, to larger shareable dishes. We did a variety of plates. We started with the Bayonne ham on toast and it was delicious. We did the zucchini za-atar and it was also very good. We finished with the lazy lobster dumplings and the Bavette steak Mirabeau and they were both excellent as well. We did the la bete noire for dessert and really enjoyed it. I would love to go back and try the rib eye for two.
A super nice spot for a date or a celebration! Yvonne's
A super nice spot for a date or a celebration! Yvonne's definitely seems to be more of a place you visit for the vibes. Service was extraordinary and the food was delicious! We ordered quite a few items but my fav thing by FAR had to be the beef tartare. It was a crowd favorite amongst our table of ~10 people and IMO, nothing else was as impressive as the tartare! The beef was just super flavorful and fresh. They had pretty unique drinks, I ended up going with a pandan-flavored drink option and it tasted good! NOTE: It's pretty dark and dimly lit inside so if you're looking for a more vibrant place, it's probably not the place for you.
Vibes are cool music is cool but definitely has rats.
.. can't really be comfortable ordering food when there's rats running around the dining areas.
Incredible experience.
Food and service was outstanding. The ambiance was cool and vibey and fun.
Beautiful decor, food and drinks ok
The restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated but the acoustics and music made it hard to hold a conversation. Food was good on the whole. Drinks were so so. Presentation of both could have been better. Wait staff seemed hurried and overburden with tables.
The food is good, the atmosphere is excellent, but the service..........
We have been to Yvonnes a few times now over the last couple of years. The local is really cool, the food is excellent, though they it doesn't seem that they have changed the menu since we were there first time, so no surprises in that area. The service do however lack behind the rest of the experience. Our waiter didn't have his finest evening at our last visit. He seemed to be more focused on servicing a business dinner at the neighbouring table, didnt take his time to give advise on wines and food (my spouse is vegan), poured water in our glasses and in our food, told us that he was feeling quite comfortable with the temperature when we asked him to turn down the AC (at that point we were all sitting with our jackets on and so were the people at the neighbouring table). The lack of attention, the flaws in the serving, and the attitude kind of ruined the whole experience. We are not sure we will be back.
Best meal of my trip
Fabulous food, cocktails and wine Best meal of our trip. The Trumpet mushrooms were incredible. Ambience was superb. Great options for a vegetarian friendly restaurant. Would definitely return.
Don't know which I enjoyed more, the food or the interior space
Gorgeous interior, amazing food, well-mixed cocktails. Service was pretty lame. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hip, swanky vibe.
This place is amazing!
The food is fantastic here. Service was outstanding. We had the Rock Coconut Shrimp, Lobster Dumplings and steak. Enough food for the four of us and everything was sooooo good! For dessert we had crème brûlée, the Velrona chocolate and mango sherbet, and the coffee rolls and ice cream ( sorry I forget what it is called but won’t forget the taste). Can’t wait to visit Boston again to go back!
This Restaurant is the best ever!
This was a very different restaurant from what we are used to. It is shareable food and is prepared with different specialties. We chose the Rock shrimp, lobster dumplings and a ribeye steak for two with frites. Every dish was very tasty and well prepared. There were four of us and there was more than enough food for sharing. I have never been to a restaurant with such excellent tasting food!! The server was very polite and knew the menu very well. She was attentive and our glasses and drinks were replenished when needed. For dessert we had a crème brûlée, Four glazed pastries with chocolate dipping sauce with ice cream and a dessert that used valrhona chocolate as its center piece with various fruit. All the desserts were to die for. The bill was pricey but worth every cent. This is a place that you go to and celebrate special occasions. My daughter completed the Boston Marathon and my wife turned 70. Both said that this restaurant made their accomplishments a night to remember. If I could give Yvonne’s more stars than five, I would. The sooner you try this place the better. Just make sure you make advance reservations.
Fun Dinner in Downtown Boston
Yvonne’s is a favorite spot for our family living on Boston’s North Shore and we had heard a lot of good things so were excited to try it out with them. The restaurant is in a great cavernous setting and really has the feel of being somewhere else. We started with a few adult beverages including an Espresso Martini and a Brut Rosé. For dinner we shared a few things plus ordered a few larger plates. First out was the Toasted Talami Bread with olive oil focaccia, muhummara butter, and za’atar, it was quite tasty. We also had the Charred Maitake Mushroom with whipped miso, yaki sauce, sesame. We ordered a few Stone fired pitas (pizzas) and really loved the Tunisian Chicken which had spicy chicken, harissa, green olive, dates, mozzarella, garlic sauce and the Sujuk with beef sausage, mozzarella, basil, marrow butter, onion & parsley. Rounding out the dinner we ordered the Gobi Manchurian - fried cauliflower, paneer, kashmiri mozzarella, and Manchurian chili sauce. We had a fun evening and the staff was very attentive to all our needs.
Steak Tartare 9.
43/10- this was my favorite tapa we got!! It's made with caper relish, truffle honey, and lavender aioli. Very fresh dish and I liked how it captivated so many flavors without being overwhelming Tunisian Chicken Pita Flatbread 8.32/10- this pita pizza was made with spicy chicken, olives, dates, mozzarella, harissa. This was pretty good- I liked how the pita was a bit sweet and soft but also crispy at the same time. I also liked how the dates complemented the spicyness of the harissa. The chicken was also good and tender. Tuna crudo 3/10- I'm only giving this a 3 because of the presentation. This was the worst tuna I've tried unfortunately. Would not recommend. Was not fresh and tasted way too fishy but not in a good/exquisite catch way. Seared Halloumi Cheese 9.28/10- made with charred eggplant, crispy chickpeas, and orange blossom honey. I thought this was really good and sweet but my friend thinks it was a bit salty Mezze Platter 9.63/10- this was so good, I liked the hummus as it was really creamy. It also had whipped beet feta in the middle and artichokes. The whipped feta was so fresh and delicious. The artichokes on top were also a 10/10 and it was served with zaatar bread which imo was a bit too crispy but still fire. This wasn't pictured lol sorry but I do recommend Lentil fritters- I didn't try this but I heard mixed reviews Circus Charlie 9.36/10- this drink was so fire and strong, brownie infused bourbon, coffee infused vermouth, and marshmallow. I liked how the sweet was a great balance to the bourbon and vermouth Lost in translation 8.67/10- rum, salted mango, acidified pineapple, cream sherry, and Japanese bitters. I liked how refreshing this drink was and how it had a bit of spice from the pineapple and Japanese bitters This place was so vibey- it was like a gothic dinner/bar setting with library vibes. Reminded me of a bar called the library in dc. Highly recommend it was super cute. Would probs just get drinks here tho and maybe like one or two tapas
My family came to visit Boston for the first time so I
My family came to visit Boston for the first time so I booked us reservations here, originally for a party of 7 but last minute we had to change it to 9 and they were able to accommodate us (Monday evening). Gorgeous restaurant with amazing staff. Estefania and Cesar made our experience unforgettable!! They were so kind and hospitable! Downstairs was closed for the night but they still allowed us a little mini tour and we were treated to a complimentary serving of rosé as we were celebrating birthdays and an anniversary. Thank you Estefania and Cesar for making my family's first visit a special one! The food was very yummy too!
this is one of my favorite date night spots.
the mood lighting is so nice and the food is honestly fantastic. my partner is a nerd and loves the library room - its got tons of really intimate seating options surrounded by books. i really like the main dinning room. highlights are the focaccia (SOO good) and the lobster gnocchi was also lovely
Cool and kina sexy vibes with tasty, but expensive plates.
Booked a Saturday 7:15 ressie almost a month in advance. We were taken through the speakeasy bookcase door and sat at a large round table that was a little too big for our group of 4. We tried 14 small plates and each of us got a few cocktails so we got a pretty good tour of their offerings. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. For food we tried: Crispy Tater Cubes Baked Oysters Savannah Tunisian Chicken Steak Tartare Chicken & Quinoa meatballs Seared King Trumpet Mushrooms Thai Octopus Tico Tuna Crudo Coconut Rock Shrimp Lazy Lobster Dumplings Seared Halloumi Cheese Lamb Kofta Le Bete Noire Coconut Mousse Cake All of it had great flavors, some of the dishes were a bit too salty for me (meatballs), but generally really enjoyed the food. Portions are quite small for the price, most plates each of us got 1-2 bites. The group thought the standouts were the thai octopus, steak tartare, seared halloumi, seared mushrooms, tunisian chicken, lamb kofta, and le bete noire. Lazy lobster dumplings were a decadent bite but not worth the price and there was not a lot of lobster. The tater cubes and coconut rock shrimp were good but not unique relative to elevated bar food. All of the cocktails were well crafted, but we all loved the dessert drink - an Iced Coffee Swizzle which had chartreuse in it and paired really well with the Le Bete chocolate notes. After tip it was about $150 pp, so this is more of a special night out type of place. I'd return to try more things!
The steak tartare is amazing, crispy tater cubes were good.
We walked in so we just sat at the bar. Good drinks, and it's beautiful in there!
This is a beautiful upscale restaurant with delicious food
This is a beautiful upscale restaurant with delicious food and drinks. It's more of a tapas-style menu so we got to family style and try a little bit of everything! Highly recommend booking a reservation in advance.
What a fun restaurant.
It is on the upscale side great for before the theater or a special occasion. It is really fun inside. Drinks are interesting as is the food. Nice change from the same old menu. Service was excellent.

Yvonne's is my go to date night spot! We've always done a few of the shared plates and the food is always great. My must haves are definitely the octopus and the halloumi cheese! Only negative is that some of the plates can be a bit salty, but overall still a really good experience here. The decor is stunning and really makes for a fun dinner. The shared plates also come out fast but at different times so you're usually never waiting too long for food. Definitely make sure to book a reservation early because they fill up!
So happy we decided to get after dinner drinks here! When
So happy we decided to get after dinner drinks here! When we first walked in the bar was full. This always makes me nervous because I hate ordering over people sitting at the bar I think it's rude, but the bartenders immediately asked us what we would like and somehow heard us without us yelling over the bar. They were already very attentive. I personally feel that the drink matched it's price. They were extremely well made drinks, going the extra mile with beautiful little garnishes. The ice was perfect, it didn't water down the drink and the drink to ice ratio was perfect. Often times I feel like bartenders put too much ice in and I understand why, but drinks shouldn't be priced so high with SO much ice. Again at Yvonne's, the drink to ice ratio was perfect. We were standing for only a few minutes until we got one open chair, and after that the bartender was kind enough to keep two seats open for us. They were just really really nice. I hate taking shots, but one of the bartenders surprised us with a round of shots, best shot I've ever had. Atmosphere was beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable!
They stuck us in the dreary downstairs bar when I wanted
They stuck us in the dreary downstairs bar when I wanted the upstairs as it was my birthday n we were all dressed up. Food ok, service good. However, because it was so loud n dark we just ordered apps n left. Nobody seemed to care less, even the manager on the way out.
Definately recommended
Fantastic restaurant. Very very cool venue with great wibe. Everything we ordered was amazing!! Kids loved the “secret door” to the basement where we were sat.
I Must Come Back Soon!
(Last visited 11/13/2023.) Hanging out in Boston working for a few weeks and a young lady that worked at the hotel I was staying at said I had to try this place, well, today is the day! Little did I know I should've made reservations on a freaking Monday night of all nights, but we got lucky, so here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is ducked off in like an alleyway of sorts right downtown Boston. It's such a cool vibe because it feels like you've found something secret that nobody knows about, but in fact... everyone knew. Lol. It was so busy in here and they were sold out of reservations for the evening so we popped a squat at the main dining room bar. There are actually two. Once you come in the door you're corralled into a small room where you're greeted by the hostess, but once you turn the corner the place opens up! To your right there's seating, to your left is the first bar and more seating. Then if you go straight you go into the main dining room which has an even bigger bar and plenty of places to sit. This place was dimly lit, chill, intimate and almost felt gothic a lil' bit. Like, real 1600s type stuff. I dug it. Service: Carrie & Darwin took excellent care of us. They were both friendly, fun, quick, attentive, knowledgeable and made sure we had everything that we needed. Food: I started off with a What's Up Doc. It's a cocktail consisting of blended scotch, drambuie, carrot, turmeric, ginger, honey and lemon. It was mixed VERY well. Tangy, sweet, balanced and didn’t taste a lot like carrot at all. My first social plate of the evening was the Lazy Lobster Dumplings which are ricotta dumplings cooked in black truffle butter with an onion crunch and lemon crema. This was HEAVEN. It was my favorite dish of the night. I could've eaten 2 or even 3 of these! It was out of this world. Savory, creamy, hearty. Delicious. Soft. Tender. Cheesy. They’re like, deconstructed dumplings. They aren’t stuffed. Mild, yet very clear truffle taste. For my next drink I went with the Icarus. It's blanco tequila, strawberry balsamic, martini fiero, suze, apricot, lime and served with a spicy tincture. It was a bit spicy, a bit bitter with natural fruity sweetness. Both delicious and different. My next social plate was the Bavette Steak “Mirabeau”. There was a slight, slight fishy taste from the anchovy butter. Cooked excellently. Seasoned well. Tender. VERY buttery. The toast underneath it was a great addition to soak up all the extra juices and flavor that you could've missed out on! My final cocktail of the night was the Circus Charlie. It's brownie infused bourbon, coffee infused punt e mes and served with toasted marshmallows. There was a light coffee flavor with a spiced sweetness. Not quite an espresso martini, but lighter, not as thick. My final social plate of the evening was the Coconut Rock Shrimp which is served with a key lime yum-yum sauce, pickled fresno peppers and spicy peanuts. I didn't taste a lot of coconut, but the breading is really soft, really tender. Great snap to the shrimp. Sauce is a little on the light side. It was my least favorite dish of the night. Breading was too thick, fell off in the “Yum Yum” sauce. Now the desserts... I got to try the La Bête Noire which is Valrhona chocolate crémeux, coconut yogurt, mango sorbet, candied cashews, chamoy strawberries and a hibiscus meringue. THIS WAS FANTASTIC. The lightest, airiest, fudge ever and the fruit balanced it all out. Lastly was the Cinnamon Babka Bites. They're served with dulcey chocolate-chunk ice cream, orange blossom, red currant jam, candied pecans and a chocolate dipping sauce. They were soft, sweet, rich, decadent with a great cinnamon-sugar balance. The chocolate dipping sauce was an excellent complement. Value: Each drink was $17.00. It's Boston, it's downtown and this is a NICE place. Be prepared to pay. It is what it is. The lobster dumplings were $32.00. The steak was $19.00. The shrimp was $20.00. Both desserts were $12.00. Like I said, this place isn't cheap so be prepared to spend if you visit. I love this place SO MUCH. I would come back here again and again to try out different drinks, different menu items and of course, repeat that chocolate dessert!
