If you’re in Belfast you MUST eat at GINGER BISTRO!
We dined in several restaurants in Belfast and this was by far the best. Such friendly staff, delicious menu with set prices for 2 and 3 courses. It was a fabulous evening. Thank you all
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience
Ginger Bistro was a delight. The food was flavorful and fresh, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and colorful. The pork belly “snack” and the vegetable tempura were highlights. The hand-thrown pottery added a special touch to the dining experience. Ginger was our favorite dining experience in Belfast.

Ginger is simply perfect! You feel at home, even when each table is full, there is a lovely relaxed chilled atmosphere. The food is sublime, great choice and oh so cleverly packed with flavour. The staff pay attention to every detail, Matt really does go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience, the whole team are friendly and helpful, ready to ensure you have all you need, before you ask/think of asking: like an extra plate for sharing a cheeseboard. Such a delightful evening! Ginger is an absolute gem!

Trully amazing 360 and even 380 all around thank for a great great dinner no words enough for the kindness and dedication Antonio from Figueira da Foz Portugal P.S., sorry I don't take photos but I keep the flavours and the ambience in my memory
Be the first to ReplyUnassuming exterior, but lively place to spend an evening.
We arrived far too early for our booking, but thought maybe sit at the bar etc. it wasn’t that sort of place however the staff found us a table (6 of us) in the drop in tables area where we had drinks and nibbles. Nice vibe and the staff were working nonstop and hard. Shout out to the cocktail shakers! Nice table in restaurant and our server was just right, friendly and informative. Food was very good and it was no trouble to accommodate our celiac friend with a choice of dishes.

Incredible food. Could not get over how perfectly cooked it was. Delicious cocktails as well (we had quite a few) Furthermore - the people working there really added to the atmosphere. Our server was Matt and he was hilarious (and had a great shirt) Would definitely visit again!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service and food
Came here with my girlfriends for lunch. We shared starters and main with a really good local rose wine. The waiter was stunningly service minded and paid much attention to his guests needs. Would definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyGood dining experience
Very centrally located Restaurant on great Victoria street which is really two parts which is the more basic bar area dining and then further in the restaurant dining with two rooms and a much nicer interior. The bar dining area is rather sterile. There is a selection of 2/3 course priced meals for dinner. Food is very good. The tempura prawns with a salad will be a bit too much garlic and ginger in it,was good. Had an Asian twist to it. Mains of cod was excellent again with orzo pasta and small of prawns. When was good priced wine and warm and attentive service.

What a great place to eat. Cocktails to start dinner weee spot on and imaginative - Chilli Margarita was fun. Starters of ham hock terrine and the asparagus and brocoli tempura were presented nicely and tasted delicious. Mains of pork belly with soy and some stir fry rice, and pan fried cod and orzo with gremalata were executed perfectly and were generous in size. Desserts were a generous portion of cheese, and a mango pannacotta. We followed up with a wittily garnished take on an espresso martini - namely the mantini.... Some brilliant cooking of lovely ingredients, served in a lovely space by staff that were attentive, knowledgeable and fun. We could have easily eaten here twice during our short stay in Belfast

The reviews don’t lie, this is a gem of a place. The food is fantastic, great choice of drinks and the staff are fantastic. Oh and it’s good value for money, i can’t recommend more highly.
Be the first to ReplyA taste sensation!
We discovered this restaurant opposite our hotel on a weekend visit to Belfast and what a joy! Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and the food was a taste sensation. I don’t usually have starters but we shared one and we ended up having three courses of excellent food, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Well worth a visit, easily booked and would definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend.

We had a fantastic meal at Ginger Bistro for my Mum's 60th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff made the experience - so so friendly and fun! Would definitely recommend!

From the welcome, thru service, to the star of the show the food - superb. Very well priced. We were orginally booked for a table in the main restaurant but arriving early opted for table in Bar at which actually suited us much better

Went here after seeing the chef on discovering Ireland documentry. OMG that's best food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Fantastic service from start to finish. Five stars.

We went in at the last minute pre theatre and were told we could have a table if we vacated by 7. The staff were great fun, very polite and attentive. We were not rushed to get out by 7 and the food was amazing, hot and wonderfully flavourful. Definitely recommend this - 10 out of 10 😍
Be the first to ReplyGinger Bistro. Best flavours and service of all the excellent Belfast restaurants.
We love this restaurant and visit when we can. The staff are most friendly and well informed. There are daily specials and an early bird menu. Try it on your visit and you won’t be disappointed. Recently we have loved the fried squid with dips and the unusual fish soup which is quite different from the usual chowder. Pork belly is excellent as was the fish special of sole on the bone. The chocolate cake has a definite wow factor as does the creme brûlée. A definite place to try if you are a visitor to Belfast.

The service was standout fabulous too, the warm and friendly hospitality did not disappoint. We will 100% return on our next visit to Belfast and have no hesitation in recommending others to visit too. Thank you for such a wonderful evening Ginger Bistro.

This was my first visit to Ginger and definitely not my last. I fancied fish and was not disappointed. The curried hake was delicious. Service was friendly and very good . Its a busy spot.

The place is brilliant. I have written many reviews and I have been fortunate enough to have eaten in many restaurants, including prestigious Michelin Star establishments. This place is one of the best. The gin salmon starter was sublime- subtle and complex. The accompanying bread was superb. The starter of pea, leek and crab risotto was brilliant. Our main courses were hake and brill. Very clever. Beautiful accompanying flavours but the fish remained the star. Excellent cooking, brilliant service and wonderful atmosphere. Just outstanding.

Recently we've felt rushed to a point that we are almost a burden to restaurant staff.
NOT HERE. Happy, friendly and very accommodating staff made our night. We were a table of 4. The flexible menus choices appealed well and the food was absolutely delicious. I hope to get back soon with a few foodie chums. I know they'll love it too.
WELL DONE TEAM
Very expensive
Lovely friendly staff but very expensive. A one course lunch each, bottle of wine and ONE sweet nearly £80+ £6 tip!! Lunch now a luxury. Waited 40 mins for our food. It was ample portions but a bit bland. Nice buzz and great atmosphere.
I know restaurants have to up their prices but think most people will meet for drinks in the future.
Great Belfast Bistro
I visited Belfast for 5 days with a friend and booked the Ginger Bistro prior to arrival based on the positive comments on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed what a fantastic experience. From being greeted at the door by the friendly staff to the goodbye at the end of the night. The food was amazing and I can definitely recommend a visit.
