Terrazza Celè Positano Reviews
Nice Setting, underwhelming experience.
The food was mediocre at best. Portions were small, prices were unreasonably high and we actually left hungry. Service was also slow which added to our disappointment. The only redeeming aspects were the ambiance, the view and the professionalism of the staff. Overall not worth the cost.
Amazing meal and ambiance
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. This was the only restaurant in town that made our honeymoon experience special, which we appreciated. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and fresh. View was incredible, and ambiance is romantic. They had a pianist playing, and there was also a wedding taking place below the restaurant with a saxophone player (who was coincidentally playing our song as we arrived- truly magical!). We loved every moment of our meal and experience here. Perfect way to end our Positano trip and looking forward to coming back.
A perfect first night in Positano
We booked this restaurant far in advance, as soon as we booked our trip to Positano. We visited here on our first night and it was the perfect way to take in the views of Positano by night for the first time and set a great tone for the rest of our trip. We had a friendly greeting, were walked to a gorgeous half table/half booth overlooking the views of the water. In terms of service - it was exactly the right amount of attentiveness but without being overbearing. Nobody was rushing or pushing you to order (like we experienced elsewhere in Positano) but if you needed one of the waiters then it was easy to locate one and then come over. The food was excellent, we had the tuna starter, beef cheek and mussel pasta. As with everywhere in Italy, additional food was provided on the house - an amused bouche, masses of bread, a plate of chocolates and dessert bites and a box of chocolate cake to take away. This was our most reasonably priced meal during our whole Positano trip (based on the more high-end restaurants we visited). This venue also had the most reasonably priced bottles of wine We booked for 7:30pm and had the table for 2.5/3 hours and weren’t rushed at all.
Worth the hype
EXCELLENT! We made a reservation in advance and we did see walk-ins get turned away, even for lunch. View was stunning, food was delicious, service was impeccable. There were three of us, we shared an appetizer and a dessert, we each had an entree and a cocktail, bill came to 211 euro. Pricey, but worth it. One of our best meals in Italy. The terrace is only covered by sun umbrellas. So in the event of wind or rain, you are exposed to the elements.
Mediocre experience
We reserved this restaurant several weeks in advance for a birthday celebration, specifically to have a terrace seaside view. Unfortunately, we were seated in an area without any view and right next to a piano which wasn’t ideal for having dinner conversation. The service was slow and generally unhelpful in terms of answering questions related to the menu. The food was ok, but not good enough to justify the super expensive price. The oysters also were not served cold enough (they were room temperature). Overall, it was a mediocre experience and I’d suggest going elsewhere in beautiful Positano.
Incredible views meets fantastic food
Start with some drinks on the terrace. Very cool new place. Then head up to a delicious dinner. All around a terrific experience. Excellent food. Very professional service. Views were spectacular.
