We were at Spruce last evening with friends.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Cheryl A. on 04/13/2024

The service was gracious & attentive, staff friendly & relaxed, ambiance comfortable & attractive. The food was mediocre. My 1st course, cute carrot pasta, was very tasty but too sweet. My main course of scallops, potatoes, & leeks was FAR too rich, I couldn't finish it. My husband's lobster was also too sweet & lukewarm. Scallops& lobster are sweet as they are, they don't need heavy sweet sauce. Desserts were disappointing. The chefs seem to be going for appearance on the plate over all else.

Lost one star for food and one star for service.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Sylvia S. on 04/06/2024

While the experience overall was good, I would not come back here. I think this is a good option if you don't dine at nice restaurants much as it's slightly on the cheaper side (125pp) and so can be a lovely and reasonably priced fancy night out. The food was consistently good but not stellar. I think the most off putting part was that the dishes were not hot. I am not someone who usually cares about this but it felt like most things came lukewarm and could have been so much better. I think there was maybe something going on in the kitchen because the sauce for my steak was clumped as if it had been sitting for a while. The best dish was honestly the apple tatin, really great flavors and texture. Service was mostly strong but there were a couple issues.. One was that it was super slow. Our meal was almost 3 hrs which is insane for a 3 course meal. We waited 40 minutes between dessert and our check. Second issue was that we were not told any specials, which apparently there were quite a lot of. We only found out when we heard a long list of specials given to the table next to us. With no indication on the menu, we wouldn't think to ask. So not sure if it was intentional but it felt a bit like we didn't get a chance to have the full experience.

I've been wanting to try Spruce for forever, so I popped in today for lunch in the bar area. they offer a more casual option there. I tried the burger and fries. it was good but not great - I found it a bit dry. It almost felt like it had been frozen? Not the quality I was expecting. Or maybe it was slightly overcooke. I requested medium, but it felt more medium well. The English muffin bun didn't really help either. The fries were good. The service was great and the restaurant is beautiful. I would love to come back and try something else!

Hoping to make Spruce a part of our date night rotation at

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Alexis K. on 04/01/2024

Hoping to make Spruce a part of our date night rotation at some point! What a wonderful spot for celebrating occasions or just going out to eat a nice dinner with your friends or loved ones. Spruce doesn't play around when it comes to ambiance. The building is an old car barn from the 30s that they've repurposed (I love adaptive reuse!) with a gorgeous arched masonry faรงade. Upon walking through the recessed entry, you're flanked on either side by views of their bakery and a smaller, more private dining area that looks directly out onto the street, previewing what is to come. When my partner and I entered the restaurant, I immediately noticed all of the beautiful artwork and the amazing lighting design of the space. Spruce walks the line between your typical fine dining experience and a more adventurous dining experience with fun menu offerings and service that feels uniquely catered to you. The staff that served us through the night were wonderful and they made us feel so welcomed the entire time. Special touches like a card at our table and a wonderful dessert for the occasion made our anniversary dinner feel quite special. After we were seated, our servers offered us several different drink options, including a few non-alcoholic drinks. We ended up ordering two non-alcoholic drinks including a cucumber lime cocktail and a blackberry cocktail. They were the perfect addition to the rich menu offerings. We were then offered several bread options, of which we chose an olive bread slice and a Parker house roll. Both of these were also quite good. After that, we enjoyed an amuse-bouche of crackers with mushrooms and beetroot purรฉe as well as a mushroom gougรจre (which was delicious!). My partner and I took two separate approaches to the menu. I ordered the sunchoke veloutรฉ, the binchotan-grilled wagyu ribeye, and the apple tatin while he ordered the Nantes carrot fagottini, the pan-roasted striped bass, and the blood orange creamsicle. Everything, from the meats down to the sauces, was exceptionally well-prepared. I felt as though any combination of options would've resulted in a cohesive, satisfying meal. While everything was wonderful, my highlights were the binchotan-grilled Wagyu ribeye and the Apple Tatin. They offered me the option to have the ribeye cap of the steak, which I took. It was a perfectly melt-in-your-mouth consistency complemented by the savory, silky, umami bordelaise sauce. The Apple Tatin took me by surprise with the timut peppercorn gelato! It was slightly floral and citrusy with a grapefruit-like taste and scent. It was like nothing I've tasted before and certainly a star of the meal! After everything, we received a complimentary anniversary dessert and a few tasty mignardises! The dessert featured a chocolate mousse, ice cream, some chocolate sponge (I think?), and a mousse-filled mini chocolate cannoli. It was a very welcome gift to finish off the night. I can't wait to go back to Spruce. It was a truly enjoyable experience!

We've been consistently blown away by Spruce brunch and it just might be our favorite brunch in SF. The service and attention to detail is impeccable and somewhat hard to come by these days. The brunch hours allow for a less packed/busy dining experience so feel like you get full attention. The food is incredible and perfectly plated.

I really wanted to give Spruce five stars.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ann P. on 03/25/2024

The food was truly outstanding. Everything was delicious. However, the service was reaaaaally slow. It took 10 minutes before someone brought water to the table. Bread had been forgotten and we had to ask for it after the first course arrived (which was over an hour after we sat down). We started dinner at 6:30 and didn't leave until 9:30. I certainly expect a dinner like this to take 1.5-2 hours but not 3. For a restaurant of this caliber, the service was not what I'd expect. Still recommend this place because the food is amazing and maybe we were just there on an off night.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Jennifer B. on 03/10/2024

I brought a client here for lunch and had an okay clam chowder soup and a delicious scallop dish. We finished lunch at 1:30 as they start closing down to prepare for dinner. I left my First Republican Bank umbrella and a navy cashmere sweater n the floor under my chair, which I didn't realize until the next day. When my called for assistance the hostess said she hadn't seen it . I called back, asked for the Mananger, whom I spoke to and he told me he would check with the cleaning crew and staff but then he failed to follow-up. I emailed them to see it my belongings were found and still haven't heard back. When you pay $200 for a lunch for two people, you expect better service. I won't be back.

We did not enjoy our meal at spruce.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Rich H. on 02/26/2024

My biggest complaint is about the service. While everyone was young and well attired and engaging, it seemed like someone was coming to our table every few minutes to bring food items or drinks or to obtain some feedback. While this might be an attempt to be "attentive" and informative about the food, the frequency and the pace of the interruptions were VERY FREQUENT and quite annoying. The servers never paused to respect the attempts my guest and I were making to have a pleasant conversation. We felt very rushed and it also seemed a bit intrusive (and unnecessary). I would suggest that they either slow things down quite substantially, or resign themselves to giving less information...maybe both. My second biggest complaint would be about the food. It was merely good. The menu descriptions sounded interesting (and our waiter used superlatives to describe the food), but nothing that came to our table was not particularly interesting (with the possible exception of the bread and the wine that we had), let alone reaching the heights of "memorable" or "delicious". With all the truly outstanding restaurants in SF, I would never choose to return here and pay the prices they are asking for the food they serve. There are MUCH better meals to be had elsewhere...often for less money. My third complaint is about the music: often loud, varying in volume quite a bit from song to song. Another annoyance/distraction. The decor is appealing, and I really thought we were in for a treat when we first entered and were seated. But Spruce did not deliver beyond the first impression. In sum, I would describe Spruce as a decidedly disappointing restaurant, with the overall impression earning the pejorative descriptor "pretentious".

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Chris A. on 02/07/2024

I was really excited to try the so called famous burger at the Spruce after watching so many videos of it on social media. We were able to walk in and get bar seating which was great. However, when we took the first bite of our burger, it was so underwhelming. The beef tasted gamey (it almost tasted like there was liver in the beef). The english muffin buns had no flavor and it was chewy. We ordered mushrooms and carmelized onions as toppings and they were also disappointing. The mushrooms had some flavor but the onions got lost in the background. When we put in all of the toppings in the burger, we couldn't even close it, let alone, bite it without everything falling out. After paying for a $30+ burger, I'm not sure if I'll be coming back. As a foody, it was such a disappointing experience! I gave an extra star because the service was good and the space was cute.

TLDR: THIS is fine dining.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Helen H. on 01/15/2024

We just celebrated a birthday lunch here today and the experience was so wonderful that we're already planning our next visit back. The food was unique and complicated -- but not too complicated that it detracted from the taste like food can at other restaurants. The interior is absolutely stunning. Most importantly, their service was exceptional, and they know how to celebrate a birthday (or anniversary or anything else). There are 5 types of dining experiences at Spruce: 1) Dinner - 3 course meal (likely with the addition of a small amuse bouche before and petit four after) for $115 / person 2) Brunch on the weekend - 3 course meal (+ amuse bouche + petit four) for $98 / person 3) Lunch on a weekday - 2 course meal (+ amuse bouche + petit four) for $65 / person 4) A la carte bar and lounge experience with a slightly different menu 5) No one seems to talk about this but there's a little cafe / bakery next door where they sell their HUGE cookies and I bet their famous beignets and other desserts too. ------ FOOD: We came for the 2 course lunch during the week (MLK day, so we had Monday off) and I thought our two courses was definitely enough food for each of us, though we did also order a supplemental course ahead of time: FIRST COURSE: 1) [MUST TRY] Roasted Sunchoke Veloute (5/5) - This is a thick, creamy soup with super unique flavors that just warmed my soul. They presented bread service right before this was served, so I could use pieces of sourdough as a vessel to enjoy some of the buttery soup 2) Provencal Soupe au Pistou (5/5) - The other soup on the menu and another creamy soup. However instead of having a deep, buttery taste, it had a nice acidity. The beans paired nicely with the soup, and the croutons were super crunchy and not soggy at all. ENTREE: 1) [MUST TRY] Prime Petite Filet Mignon (5/5) - One of the best steaks I've had in a while. This filet mignon surprised both me and my boyfriend because of how tender, evenly cooked, and flavorful it was. Usually steaks are too chewy for my liking (even a recent cut of A5 wagyu at another restaurant didn't impress me) but this was what I want whenever I order a steak. We were also easily able to sub the fries for extra veggies, which we really appreciated! 2) Seared Ahi Tuna Salade Nicoise (4.5/5) - A delicious, healthy option that is still extremely flavorful. The 7-minute egg was cooked perfectly and was the perfect fatty touch paired with the strong, biting taste of the olive spread. I thought the spread was a little overpowering and took away from the taste of the tuna a bit, but this dish was still wonderful 3) Duck Leg Confit (4/5) - Super tender duck that fell off the bone and paired beautifully with the dish's sauce and accompanying veggies. I found this to be a little too salty for my liking which is why the 4, but had it been less so, I would have absolutely loved this. Turnips have recently become a favorite addition to my dishes recently, so I was elated to see turnips with this duck! OTHER: * They started the meal with a delicious amuse bouche - a mushroom and cheese puff. * There was also 1 thick slice of sourdough bread served to each of us before our first course. It wasn't my favorite because it wasn't warm and didn't have a crispy crust. * They came out with a birthday dessert at the end which was this luxurious, decadent chocolate hazelnut cake. It was so creamy and texturally complex -- it was such a nice birthday gift from the restaurant. * Finally, the petit four were fantastic chocolate passion fruit bonbons ------ SERVICE: * SERVICE - Wonderful service. Our waiter was extremely kind and thorough. Servers were always coming by to clear our plates, and I thought the pace of the meal was excellent. I do wish they cleared crumbs from the table between courses * CELEBRATION - We we're celebrating my bf's birthday and Spruce really knows how to celebrate a birthday. Not only were there many "happy birthdays" by various folks, but there was also a nice birthday card at the table and after we asked for the check, they surprised us with an extra birthday dessert and candle. That was as delicious as it was beautiful. This place just knows how to celebrate, and I will be coming back for future celebrations. ------ ENVIRONMENT/AMBIANCE: * INTERIOR - One of the most beautiful, contemporary, yet cozy dining spaces in SF. There's really nice natural light from skylights above, and the dark brown walls and furniture add a chocolatey warmth that levels up the space. Plus the expertly placed glass panes and mirrors give you the perfect vantage of their gorgeous bar * BAR - I would love to come some day and just get a drink + a bite (likely their famous burger) at this bar with a friend. They've sorted the bottles in various clusters of bright colors accentuated by shelve lights behind them. * PARKING - There is lots of parking around this area with newer parking meters

Deeply disappointing compared to two years ago

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @leisure-traveller44 on 11/16/2023

We had brunch here two years ago and loved it, and thought it was good value, too. Now, not content with raising the basic price by 25%, they have started nickel-and-diming at every possible point. This time they didn't mention tap water nor did they say that water was 9.50 a bottle (add 25% for tax and tip), so we wound up paying $40 for water! Champagne seemed to be provided only when we failed to order something more profitable, but the glass was filled only to halfway, or around 60ml. We had a child with us, who was paying full price (unlike last time), who was 'offered' a kiddie cocktail instead of the champagne--at $8 (plus tax and tip). The food was still very good, but having enquired about food requirements the day before, no attention was paid on the day to the need for a sesame-free meal for one (whose appetizer appeared on sesame bread!) or low sodium for another (the omelette was anything but low sodium, but could easily have been adapted). Some portions, e.g. the apple dessert, were very small. We left feeling very let down and will not be visiting again.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Douglas H on 10/13/2023

Consistently excellent food. High end atmosphere. Unfortunately, our waiter ran through the menu at breakneck speed and wouldnโ€™t pause to take a question. When I asked him to slow down, he complained that he had a lot of tables to wait. For those prices plus a 20% service charge off the top, I expect a comfortable server with a relaxing atmosphere rather than an overworked manic waiter stressing us out, and who should know better than to complain about how he was overworked to clients paying nosebleed prices.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Frank_2011_12 on 05/20/2023

The food and ambiance were very good. The kitchen staff know how to prepare the dishes well. However, the menu is structured in such a way that the wait staff try to upsell the customer on so many different components. It's not just about paying extra for caviar service, which is to be expected, but multiple components of a regular prix fix meal are add-ons (i.e. standard scallop appetizer comes with 3 scallops but it's $12 extra - and not clearly communicated; if you want a better cut of meat for your steak it's $XX; if you want a cheese course instead of dessert it's $15; etc.). Not talking about one or two add ons - there are multiple. So many in fact that it's hard to keep track of. Even the waitress who was serving us admitted it was too many and admitted that the restaurant is trying to change. For the customer, it's not a great experience.

Good, but service (especially wine service) needs attention

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Cxl on 04/16/2023

So excited to go to Spruce for the first time with friends - we are all in the food/wine industry, so admittedly expectations were high. Service was sub-par but not for lack of effort--our server was spread way too thin and had too many tables. We waited a long, long time to order our first bottle of champagne--then the first course didn't arrive till it was almost gone. Second bottle of wine did not get served at the time we requested, and so pairing with our food was off...Then our dessert wines had the same problem (ordered but not delivered for a long time). The som recognized this and comp'd them. Food was good, but wow-factor was missing. Highlights were lobster, scallops, parker rolls, and rhubarb choux. I would skip the rib-eye. Hope management finds a way to improve wine service in this very busy restaurant to avoid customer disappointment and live up to its Michelin rating. There are LOTS of staff, but they should be better managed.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Kris R. on 03/15/2023

We came here to celebrate a special occasion, and it was a memorable experience. The atmosphere was upscale and sophisticated without being pretentious. I could tell that they really cared about every detail, from the lighting to the music to the plating of the dishes. We were there for dinner, which is 3 courses for $100.I got the scallops to start (supplement). They were perfectly seared and had a nice caramelization on the outside. The inside was tender and had a delicate sweetness to it that paired well with the slightly acidic sauce that came with it. It was a generous portion too, which is rare for a scallops app. It was served with leeks and potatoes that complemented the flavors of the scallops well. For my main, I got the lobster, which was the standout dish. The meat was cooked just right, not too rubbery or too mushy. It had a nice buttery flavor and was served with a light sauce that enhanced the taste without overwhelming it. This was an additional supplement as well. Finally, I finished up with the cheesecake which was a great ending to the meal. It was rich and creamy without being too heavy. The crust had a nice crunch to it that contrasted well with the softness of the cake. It was served with a berry compote that added a tartness that balanced out the sweetness of the cheesecake.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a special night out. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was just right. The scallops, lobster, and cheesecake were all standout dishes that I would order again in a heartbeat.

Came here to try their famous burger and I have to say it disappointed. Let's start with the positives. The service was phenomenal. They accommodated my group of 6 without a reservation within 30 minutes. As soon as we were sat someone immediately took our drink order. The house-made English muffin bun works great and is original. I, however, ordered my burger medium rare and it came out nothing shy of medium well. Although their aioli was a fantastic dip for the fries, to me it fell flat as a spread for the burger. When you're charging lofty prices for a dish that can be so well crafted at a lower price price point the end result at a place like this has to be both unique and perfectly executed. Also, 4 out of the 6 of us ended up getting food poisoning. If they had comped more than just the one appetizer maybe I would give this place another chance. It feels wrong to spend over $500 on a meal to then lose it later that night.

- Locale Destination - It's on Spruce st and Sacramento st

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Akiko I. on 03/12/2023

- Locale Destination - It's on Spruce st and Sacramento st in Laurel Heights, SF. Ambiance: modern yet classy, fine dining settings. Dark brown really sets the mood for it. From the beginning of the opening, the lady's bathroom was gross. My man had the same issue last time. It was really a turnoff for me. Who wants to eat at the fine dining restaurant with not-so-clean bathroom??? Hope you will fix it asap - check it before opening! Menu: dinner was pre-fix, $100/person - amuse bouche, appetizer, entree, dessert and a chocolate. I think they bring great values for fine dining setting and taste quality. Price: $100/person for this quality ain't bad. Service charge was added automatically, so no need to tip. Service: they explained the menu items too fast. Breads weren't there while entree came. Bussing was on point, dessert took a while. Service could be improved. - Gluttony Expedition - Wine: glass - Gamay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon were so good! Wine list was like a book. They seem to have a sommelier for the Bible like wine list. I'm not a fan of too many choices, but they do pick good ones. Amuse bouche: fantastic! Breads: olive bread was awesome. Butter wasn't as good as the one at Pasjoli. Appetizers: MONTAUK FLUKE CRUDO: SHIRO DASHI, PINK LEMON, VERJUS. Fish was fresh, sauce was acidic and too light. Meh. SEARED HOKKAIDO SCALLOPS: MELTED LEEKS, AMAROSA POTATOES, CAVIAR VIN BLANC. Best dish! Great combination of flavors, perfect grilling, just awesome! Entrees: PISTACHIO AND CORIANDER-CRUSTED DUCK BREAST BRร›Lร‰ED RUTABAGA AND POACHED QUINCE, CRISPY SPINACH: coriander was a good compliment to duck. It was medium rare, but I prefer a bit more red. Duck jus and duck breast were good, but nowhere near the one at Pasjoli in Santa Monica -!the same token of 1 Michelin star. Crispy spinach really add a nice texture and flavor. Good. Ribeye: awesome! Desserts: CRรˆME FRAรŽCHE CHEESECAKE: CITRUS JAM, HONEYCOMB TUILE. Light and yummy cheesecake with blood orange. Great! DARK CHOCOLATE ENTREMET: COFFEE CREAM, CANDIED HAZELNUTS. Very rich overall, but great flavor combinations and textures. Good! - Conqueror's Deduction - $100/person pre-fix was a deal. Refined tasty food, great wine selection, good menu options - great value! Portion might be small but it was perfect for me. Michelin star worthy - try it! Service could be better. Please clean/check the bathroom.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Farrah F. on 03/09/2023

But what a beautiful place and the boy they had phenomenal service!!. You get complimentary bread as well but don't stuff your self to much you want to eat the food. Everything was good and the portion size was great! I definitely satisfied all my cravings. Though the cocktails could have been better.

We stumbled upon Spruce on a neighborly stroll one evening

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Chris L. on 03/06/2023

We stumbled upon Spruce on a neighborly stroll one evening and discovered a gem. The ambience and service is high class yet it feels laid back and comfortable. The 3-course prix fixe menu is filling so there is no need to order extras. We ended up going with the gnudi, scallops, halibut, and duck, beignets, and cheesecake. The duck sauce is slightly sweet so recommend to have it on the side. We both really liked the scallops. Our server Brianne was very and attentive and answered all our questions patiently. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!

Spruce offers a top-tier dining experience - from the

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Tiffany C. on 03/01/2023

Spruce offers a top-tier dining experience - from the ambience to the wait staff to the food, it was all impeccable. Make a reservation ahead of time to ensure a spot if possible, but their bar seating is also a great experience.Spruce rotates their menu around, and updated version can also be located on their site. Our meal started off with complimentary bread, then came the first course. The ricotta gnuddi is very similar to gnocchi, and the lemon-brown butter sauce was quite lemony. We ordered extra scallops which was an additional cost to the $12 supplement. The stuffed chicken breast was interesting in that there were competing flavors. The pink lady apple was a sharp contrast to the chicken, and the mustard jus was a unique pairing. Overall, the dish was still delicious.

Very good but not perfect

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Paulo M on 02/09/2023

We had the baby beet salad and the scallops as the first courses. They were excellent.: the melted leeks were smooth and superb, and the scallops were seared to perfection. My wife liked the cauliflower, but I was not impressed with the rib-eye; the Bordelaise sauce was watery and insipid. The cheese plate was an inspired selection of delicious French cow milk. Unfortunately, the creme anglaise for the beignets was runny and mediocre. It was a bit disappointing that the cooking staff could not produce decent basic sauces, but I recommend the restaurant overall.

Worth returning to

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Makantudo on 01/11/2023

I dined here on my own last time in September 22 visiting from outside the US and have just booked a table to return on my next visit with in February. Why? I know SF has so many great restaurants but I enjoyed everything about dining here so much that when returning to the city now with my wife I am not even contemplating dining elsewhere. The food and wine is outstanding but everything about it is unpretentious and relaxing. Having dined at many 1,2 and 3 star restaurants over the years it is the simple combination of the above that I look for these days.

First-rate prix fixe experience

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ben S on 11/21/2022

We really enjoyed this price fixe 3-course experience last night. First, our waiter Ryan was exceptional - so knowledgeable and personable with a fantastic Sancerre wine recommendation to go with the delicately prepared and flavored tuna; my wifeโ€™s lobster was excellent; the scallops and the fagottini appetizers were creative and delicately executed. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable with some cool music playing in the background. Overall, just a fun and delightful time in Pacific Heights.

Very special dinner, or brunch

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @debB on 11/18/2022

This is an outstanding restaurant! The food was delicious, with good variety and excellent presentation. Service is attentive but not hovering. Beautiful bar, inventive cocktails. Desserts to die for. Not a bargain but worth every penny. We liked the brunch so much, we returned days later for dinner.

Fantastic

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Lottelli on 11/04/2022

A bit of a treat to come here! It was fantastic, fine dining at its finest! Thank you to Mr Elliott who showed us to our table. Our waitress was great and the sommelier helped us chose a fantastic wine. Their wine list is out of this world! Itโ€™s like a book. We couldnโ€™t decide what we wanted for dessert so the lovely waitress just ordered them all for us! The food was beautiful. Really lovely flavours and quality. We left feeling very full and satisfied!

Good food bad service

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Adrienne O on 10/23/2022

The food here was amazing but the service was awful. Our server paid almost no attention to our table and there were periods of time where our drinks sat empty for almost 20 minutes which was completely unacceptable. Itโ€™s too bad because the food was great but the lack of service ruined the experience for us. They add an automatic 20% gratuity fee to the bill so Iโ€™m not sure if that played a part in it that they were already getting a good tip no matter what the service level they provided?

Amazing wine pairing and list, accommodating staff

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Brendan W on 09/27/2022

After being nearly stranded on the wrong side of the bridge after a long walk, they accommodated our late arrival and presented a delicious menu and bested me multiple times on what were perfect wine pairings for the food. Food and wine this good can often feel stuffy, and we just felt welcomed after our very long walk through San Francisco. I had last visited to snag a few delicious wines from their wine cellar sale during the pandemic, and I was so happy to finally experience such good food.

Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful experience

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @MNowosad on 09/25/2022

What an amazing dining experience! All items we selected from the prix fixe menu service were excellent. The pistachio crusted duck breast was amazing, while the seared scallops I had for appetizer were among the best I ever had. And the layered mousse cake as the dessert item was a great finale for the meal. The restaurant is very beautiful and the service is very classy and friendly. A great San Francisco fine dining experience,

Connect with users posting reservations for Spruce San Francisco

AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Spruce San Francisco. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.

Read More on How Seller Track Record and the Bid Process Works Read More Action Icon

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Spruce San Francisco at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Spruce San Francisco page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Spruce San Francisco to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Spruce San Francisco!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
