The Absolute WORST dining experience I have ever had in Venice
This place is perfect for a casual evening, IF you think a casual evening consists of the worst service and food of your entire life. We get seated at our reservation time and are not approached by a waiter until 45 minutes after, only for that to be the only time we are ever approached by them. The portion sizes at this "establishment", I don't even know if you can call it that, are abysmal to say the least. They are overpriced and leave you hungrier than when you came in. Not to mention the food poisoning I received from said small portion. The view was the only good feature of this place, yet that is hard to appreciate when it is substituted for a view of a toilet bowl. I recommend you stay far away from this place and save yourself money and time dealing with the rude and incompetent staff. I will never be coming back and I suggest you never come.
A Michelin-starred restaurant in Venice. We opened a bottle of red and white wine and it cost about 100,000 yen for two people.
I wasn't able to stay at the Hotel Danieli, but I wanted to watch the view of the Grand Canal as it gradually darkens from this restaurant on the top floor of the Danieli, so I made a reservation from Japan more than a month in advance. The customer service at the restaurant was polite, friendly and just perfect. As we ate, we watched the Grand Canal gradually darken, and opened a bottle each of white and red wine with my friend. The squid ink, fish and seafood were especially delicious. I recommend going there at least once if you come to Venice. There were no Asian customers, including Japanese, but I was very happy to be greeted by a Japanese woman who seemed to have come to train at the restaurant.
Incredible views over Venice Lagoon and islands and impeccable service and food!
This was the meal highlight of our summer vacation around Italy and it didn't disappoint. It's pricey, but the quality of the food and service is outstanding, matched by the absolutely breathtaking views of Venice lagoon. We had chicken, Chateaubriand and a kids pizza - all were absolutely excellent with generous portions and great attention to detail and flavor. The staff are very attentive and we discovered the delightful Maitre'd had spent 16 years running a restaurant in the Houses of Parliament in London.
Stunning view with quality food
The restaurant is located on the top floor of the beautiful Hotel Danieli, with impressive architecture. The food is very good, the service is very courteous and the view is simply wonderful. It's quite expensive, but it couldn't be any different due to the beautiful view, good service and good food. The wines by the glass and drinks are of great quality, but quite expensive. All the dishes we ate were good, especially the shrimp risotto.
One of the worst experiences
We have dine in Danieli years ago and really enjoyed it but not last night. Food was unedible. Smoked salmon too salty, buratta cheese -tasteless . We had to wait for an hour for the main course. No one paid attention to us at that time. Had to call one of the waiter ,who apologized and promised free dessert which we did not care for. When finally main course arrived,it taste terrible. Than head waiter insisted that we should have grappa on the house as apology. I told him that I don’t care for grappa but he basically force it in us. No one should patronize that restaurant until they get better food and service

We had a great Sunday brunch here the food was superb and the service the same we would definitely do it again it was the high light of our visit to Venice

The best brunch you could wish for because the evaluations must be all-encompassing, you evaluate the food, you evaluate the location, you evaluate the welcome, the service, the kitchen staff, the beverage and your own state of mind and whims , All these elements at the Terrazza Danieli are of the highest level, they all have a name and the list would be long but those directly interested will recognize themselves in this review because we are now at home! Sublime experience
Splendid place, delightful and patient staff (there was a couple - alas Italian - entwined and fiery, ridiculous and annoying. We would have gladly taken the waiters and the families present and their voices... but everything fell into place). To return
Very very disappointed
We had reserved a specific table on the terrace for a birthday, two weeks in advance in order to have the best view. We called the restaurant the same day to confirm the reservation, and after more than half an hour on the phone because no one listened to us, the maître d' told us that our reservation had not in fact been taken into account. account. We therefore resubmitted a request for the table in question. We arrived, and what was our surprise when we were taken to a table that was absolutely not the one we had reserved two weeks before. The waiters explained to us that it was first come, first served. Despite our demands, we were unable to get the table. On top of that, the waiters' attitude was more than average. No consideration for the customer and no respect for the regulars of the house. Just because the restaurant is considered a luxurious place doesn't mean the staff can afford to be so rude.
Best restaurant in Venice
It is located in the Danieli hotel, a luxury hotel, from the moment you arrive you are welcomed very well, the decoration is spectacular. The view of the restaurant is one of my favorites. The delicious food. A unique restaurant in Venice. Highly recommended
Amazing view. Great food. Lovely staff.
The food was lovely but there are lots of places where you can get lovely food. What was exceptional was the view. Had lunch there. Incredibly expensive but worth it. You can get the a similar view in lots of places but you'll be with a crowd of tourists and you won't get to stay long. Here you can relax and take it all in. Staff were lovely. Didn't try to rush anyone and we all stayed for hours. View is exactly as shown in pic.
We went for a birthday dinner.
Group of 7. Ordered appetizers, two courses each, bottles of wine etc. One of the people in our party never received their food. They also ordered a drink that never arrived. Our waiter would disappear for ten to fifteen minutes at a time. Our water and drinks were empty often. When we spoke to the manager on the way out, he said he would see what he could do...but then he didn't take our name or phone number, so obviously won't do anything. Had waited a dozen years to come back and eat here. Color us all very disappointed. Epic let down to say the least.
simply beautiful
Superfine experience for the eyes and the palate. No words are needed. It must be tried, with very high expectations that will be satisfied. The spectacular view is accompanied by excellent food, offered in a welcoming atmosphere of sharing.

Great view. Nice atmosphere. We stopped in for a coffee and app. A little pricey for what we got, but you are at the Daniels.
Difficult to do better
Unique place in the world, we ate an excellent quality chateaubriand with vegetables one better than the other. Adequate prices
Amazing view & great service
We had a late lunch and drinks at the restaurant/bar. You get Italian classics at their restaurant served in a humble way, definitely do not expect experimental cuisine. The pricing is justified by the absolutely stunning view. What stood out as well, was the warm and attentive service.

We went to dinner at Terraza As a starter Bacala Pasty cod without any seasoning blandness guaranteed No Banal minestrone without flavor Then Pasta Bucatini with truffles Absolutely no taste at all Pasta with cream and a few thin slices of white truffles for decoration No interest A glass of good Italian red wine A good dessert Total 200 euros but that is not the subject The subject is that the quality of the cuisine is lousy So go to Chérubin 👼 Excellent traditional meal for…68 euros for two in a restaurant that hosted Pope John Paul in the 80s
Wow
What to say ? Perhaps the most beautiful terrace in Venice, the venue offers an incredible view of San Giorgio and the Giudecca. In addition to this, you have the privilege of entering from the hall of one of the most beautiful and historic hotels in Venice. The menu is refined with some noteworthy excellences. Prices are obviously high but not crazy given the location and the very attentive and attentive service. It's a shame that Venice has become a city for day trips or travel for foreigners; inconvenient without services and transport... places like this, frequented for dinner, could make us remember more often what an extraordinary country we live in and perhaps make us work a little harder to ensure that it continues to be so over time.
Spectacular wining and dining
We had dinner inside the restaurant on our honeymoon 10 years ago and promised ourselves a return visit.. This time the weather was kind so we were able to sit outside on the terrace. It was a joyous experience throughout. The view, especially at night, is arguably the best in Venice. Food and wine were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who strike a happy balance between friendliness and courtesy. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening which we would recommend to anyone seeking world class wining and dining in an iconic setting.

Stunning views and delicious food.
Not a cheap eat by any means but you are in part paying for the view, ambience, and quality. They also had live music when we were there. Try to sit right on the balcony edge for the best experience :)

Great food and great service, amazing views and location a little expensive but ok. I would go back. The only dead was when I called to make my reservation and I told him it was my birthday when I got there nobody knew they didn't sing happy birthday or acknowledge or even brought a piece of cake for me.I had to make this reservations two months in advance as I am traveling from Miami.
