Don't order the fish on the half shell unless you have intentions of eating scales On the outside deck, our food got rained on they didn't care they still charged us full price will not be back
Just left Pier 6 for lunch and oysters.
I ordered the grouper fish sandwich and husband got the burger with 3 dozen oyster. The fish burger was $19 and the piece of fish that I got was smaller than the McDonald fish burger. The fries were hot and tasty. Husband liked the burger. I think the price of the fish burger was overpriced. Service was lacking. We ordered the additional dozen and the waiter forgot about our order. Sat there was additional 10-15 before we realized he didn't put in our order.
So, our last few experiences at Pier 6 have been a-ok.
Not 5-star great like when they first opened, but just ok. Here's why: 1. I'm such a huge fan of carrots, and wouldn't recommend the "charred carrots" anymore; they aren't really charred. They're glazed and quickly fired up. No char. No caramelization. No tender carrots. 2. Our recent ordered of grilled "Prestige oysters" no longer had the melted butter to sop up with the toasted bread. And the bread, well, it wasn't really toasted. 3. One of our favorite menu items-aside from their gulf oysters-is the fish dip. It was lacking a good amount of fish that we are used to them serving. It was mostly all dip. I *rarely* send anything back; and in this case, we had to (and the server kindly removed it from our bill). Pier 6 does have some of the best Gulf Oysters around; and we still enjoy going for the bay views, oysters, and drinks.
Was craving chocolate martinis & chargrilled oysters.

I was whisked away for girls' night, but this venue would make an excellent location for anniversaries, birthdays, or any day you'd like to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the lake. Abby was the most enthusiastic, thoughtful, and patient server, adding to our enjoyment of the atmosphere (although note to management, I suspect more tables would be filled if the ladies were wearing more clothes). On my list for next time: a griddled halloumi salad (new-to-me cheese that is mild, springy, salty, with smoke from the grill) served Mediterranean-style with heirloom and cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and dill with the richest olive oil. It was light and tantalizing! The Redfish was a little nutty for me, so I opted instead for "The Diplomat" - a classic burger made fancy with fixin's and fries. We shouldn't have, but taking a Blueberry Lemon Cake home was an extravagance worth the wait. Elegant tres leches style cake with light lemon citrus studded with blueberries (tastes like blueberries!) and a dollop of airy sweet cream on top. A lovely finish to a beautiful evening for these 2 BFFs.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food- Second time here, enjoyed my seafood pasta and oysters this time, though the oysters still have a certain brininess that makes them not as good as those on the east coast (still love them none the less). The fondue was a little disappointing, being just overwhelming amounts of cheese with little seafood. The lobster roll was adequate, but nothing too special. The fish we got this time was nice (just don't get the naked fish), being served on a very nice rice bed with tons of sauce. Lastly, I was shocked by the Key Lime Pie. I had got it last time, but it wasn't too special in my opinion, but for some reason it was just a hit this time, having a perfect amount of tartness and bite (whipped cream ratio is still too high though). Service: Nice waitress who took our orders fast and told us her preferences when it came to the happy hour menu. Food also came quicker, though still not fast, than the last time. But overall great experience. Ambiance: This place seems perfect for a beach day with friends or a party. No complaints! Yeah this place was solid on my second visit! Though there are some dishes that missed the mark, I feel just as many of them hit right on the dot. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner with friends or family.

They NEVER disappoint.
From happy hour to dinner, food and service are always top notch. We've dined at the inside bar, outside bar, inside dining room, ans outside deck... it was all fantastic. And, happy hour is a must because that is the only time that stuffed crab claws are available.

Definitely the most comfortable seafood restaurant on the Galveston Bay coastline. But the food available on Saturday afternoon was so-so at best. We 3 ordered 4 dishes: 1. Calamari appetizer. Small squid tentacle clusters deep fried then doused with gooey sweet sauce. Not my kinda calamari. Will not order again 2. Shrimp Grilled Tacos. 3 small soft tacos with no particular taste whatsoever. Will not order again 3. Grouper Fish Sandwich w/ fries. Small fried grouper with sauces in hamburger bun. Tasted okay but the fish was quite small. Not worth the price. 4. Pier 6 Burger. Surprisingly this double smash burger was the best value for money. Also the best of the 4 in visual presentation and taste. I recommend it! The big problem on a weekend afternoon is the menu. Their best items like the seafood pasta aren't offered until after 5PM. Have never understood the logic there. Should be full menu on weekends all the time. Lesson learned. If you want to enjoy the view n vibes on a weekend afternoon, order a burger n beer. Forget these 3 seafood items.
Love the atmosphere, classy, fun place and great food.
Problem is, there was a mistake on my bill, I paid for someone elses dessert. I sent 3 messages through the portal with a copy of the receipt, then I sent a letter to the manager there. Been going on since June 28, 2025 and I never got any kind of response.

Crab Cakes were Excellent
Enjoyed our Dinner at Pier 6 and the Crab Cakes appetizer was the highlight! Shrimp Ceviche was very good as was our Blackened Snapper entree. Recommend Pier 6!
Wrote it off our list of Restaurants
We usually go to Tookies but I've always wanted to try Pier Six buto we were all disappointed. To begin with the water glasses are the smallest I've ever had served to me! Our waiter never did come to refill them so my son & I shared my husbands because he ordered a beer and wasn't drinking his water. We all ordered Lobster Bisque and we all said it reminded us of Tomato Soup. My Husband ordered a bowl but got a cup which is about 8oz and that was to be his whole meal thinking it was a "bowl". My son ordered the Blacken fish which was extremely "skimpy". It sat on something that appeared to be a cream sauce so he was surprised when he tasted it and it was Mashed Potatoes...about 3-4 Tablespoons of it. The side was a Ratatouie but it was so overcooked that he had to guess as to what the 2 vegetables were. I ordered the Seafood Spaghetti. I asked what kind spaghetti would come with it. He said spaghetti. I said I mean is it Angel Hair or something like that because I emphasized that I DON'T like eldente spaghetti. He said he would ask them to make sure it was cooked well....well it wasn't...it was chewy. I was surprised to see it came with a 1/2 Small Lobster tail and excited to see that until I tried to cut it into a bite sized piece. My knife had trouble cutting it. I put a piece in my mouth and chewed for several minutes before it was small enough to swallow. I guess it was undercooked??? or something??? It had a few shrimp that were good but to me extremely salty as was the sauce...even though the sauce was extremely good...I'm just not supposed to have a lot of salt. Oh well...at least I can say that I finally went to Pier Six so something good did come out of it. Atmosphere was extremely beautiful!!
Best Seafood in the states w gorgeous views.
My favorite seafood restaurant on the water. Has steaks, chicken, salads and sandwiches if seafood is not your thing. We had the oysters (Prestige and Streets of New Orleans) which were so good we ordered a second batch, the crab cakes, the empanadas, fish dip, shrimp ceviche, a couple bottles of wine, entrees and desserts. For entrees we had the red fish, Tide to Fried seafood platter and the tuna. Everything was super fresh and beautifully prepared. Service was excellent! For dessert we had the coconut banana mouse, key lime pie, chocolate Nutella cake and a blueberry something. Forgot the last one. Again everything delicious. We were there for lunch and sat outside under their covered patio so plenty of shade and great ocean breezes.
Great local seafood
We were a party of four and everyone enjoyed their meals. We had calamari, oysters on the half-shell, oysters Rockefeller, lobster rolls, grilled shrimp and a fish sandwich. The locally sourced items were fantastic. The lobster was tasty and had a good texture, despite it's having been frozen. The service provided by Kyle was superb! Reservations on the weekend are recommended.
Menu is getting boring.
Oysters are always good here, both raw and cooked. Food is ok. Have been coming here since it opened and we find the menu is just ok. They really haven't changed it much. Hate the glasses they serve Martini's in.
Cheap experience
Being a local we live supporting our businesses, which makes our new years celebration extremely disappointing. Made reservations a month in advance for nye after seeing their post … no where on the post did it say you must buy tickets SEPARATELY for new years … looked at posts a few days before reservation and MANY people where responding to post asking if you needed tickets plus a reservation ..NO RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT ON POST… my party arrives and immediately I am told we must vacate our table in 1 hour ! Are you kidding me ? Expensive dinner and drinks but pls HURRY UP AND GET OUT !!! Server was EXTREMELY unprofessional for the scale of the restaurant.Drink served in a can not even a GLASS … this place is upscale not cheap I would expect a glass … bill came and instead of handing everyone a bill … he shows everyone at the table each others bill and then says DO YOU WANT CHANGE ???? How about you just bring me my change and I’ll figure out your tip!! Clearing off table while I’m still EATING!! Tacos on a metal tray like your at a picnic??? I’ll remember this when your slow season arrives..Never again … I’ll stick with Perry’s steakhouse … So THANK U PIER 6 for ruining our new years .. happy 2025
Meh at best
I like sitting on the outside deck to avoid noise, but would sit on inside patio just to get real glassware. Grilled oysters were small, Mahi was hot and fine. Hubby's catfish was fried to a crisp and it and red beans and rice were cold. Service was...okay. Overall experience was Meh. For an hour plus drive, would have to think long and hard about returning. A not so great anniversary.
Busy but worth the wait!
Stopped here on a Friday night. Party of 5, we were seated inside at a booth. Huge area for indoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating. Large TVs and 2 bars. It was freezing in the booth where we were seated. Our server came up and we asked to move due to the cold air conditioning. He turned off the air conditioner, so we would be comfortable. He was friendly and attentive. We ordered Crab Cakes and Seafood Fondue for starters. Both were hot and delicious. For dinner we ordered Blackened Snapper, Tide to Fried, and Pecan Crusted Redfish. Each plate was beautifully presented and moth watering good. Dessert was The Cookie Board. This is a must after any meal! The restaurant is very welcoming and fun! Large swings outside by the water, adirondack chairs out by the water.
Tasty food and chill/relaxing atmosphere
Outstanding food and really chill, beach vibe. We had drinks and dinner here. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Calamari appetizer was delicious with a nice sweet and spicy sauce. I had the Piri Piri shrimp entree and my wife had the seafood pasta. Both had great flavor. Portions were good. We sat out on the patio with our dog during dinner and enjoyed the evening breeze and the view of the bay.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Pier 6 San Leon to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Pier 6 San Leon!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
