L'Avenue Paris Reviews
Prime location doesnโt always mean classy!
Over the top restaurant. Expensive without class. Absolutely not worth the money. Food is average. Service/ waiter doesnโt look and infact not professional. Young ladies in a non uniform mini skirt or low neck top/ dresses within two minute seating the young ladies asked if i know what to order. Toilet is dirty, absolutely no class despite the price and location.
Bland and expensive
Beyond expensive for super bland food. Also insanely small portions for the price with absolutely no garnish or sauce on the plate. Had to dump salt and pepper on all of the food to make it taste better.
So rude with tourists and very polite either rich and locals
Yesterday We were in LโAvenue with our family and we were very upset with the style that they speak with guests So rude so un polite, and it is not the first time But yesterday was the worst We are there regular customers and every time when we are in Paris we visit LAvenue They speak with some guests like the low level people We were waiting for serving approximately for an hour and when we asked The waiter she shouted at us with several hand gestures, it was so rude and un polite. Most of staff is like this Really not advise to tourists to go to Lavenue They are polite with the locals or they look to the clothes of the clients and to the what they order , if they think that you are rich then they are very very polite
Great food
Great restaurant for lunch, very convenient in the middle of a great shopping area ! Beautiful views of the Eiffel tower from the second floor, nice outdoor terrace
COMPLETLY WORTH IT
It was really good, we got a table on the terrace and we had a great service! And the foodโฆ oh my God the best risotto I have ever tried, promise!! The service was great, I got a starter with tuna and avocado and surprised me too, really delicious!! I really recommend this place, the view is amazing, and surprisingly in Paris the best service I had received!
Service NOT included !?!?!?
The location is superb and ambience very nice. Food is a bit less average considering you are in France. Service was good. Prices are expensive, but if you go there you know that ! HOWEVER the main problem was that in France โSERVICE COMPRIโ means service included and you are NEVER charged any. When the waitress received the card to charge, she simply asked 15, 18 or 20% !!!! I thought I was in NYC !!! Shame on this attitude !!!
Food was very average and service was slow.
Was scammed by waiter as service fee is included and he scammed me in recommending a 14 Euro tip. Was very disappointed and would NOT recommend this place
The service and food here were great.
The Risotto and shrimp dish was to die for! Drinks were great and street view was awesome. Must try if you're in Paris.

We decided to try this place after our visit to Dior which is across the street. Everything started off great. Waitress was nice but got my 2 orders wrong, once she brought back the food, 1 was over cooked and she knew it but never came back to check, once I was finally able to stopped her she came with the manager who then refused to adjust the bill. The atmosphere and drinks were average but service and accommodation were horrible.
Service is included at this restaurant, but the waitresses
Service is included at this restaurant, but the waitresses will try and get a tip by telling you it isn't included if you speak English. I've eaten there twice and they tried the same scam both times. I won't be back. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of honest places nearby.

LOVE IT!! Pay no mind to the bad reviews during the week at least when I went for dinner. The seabass was the best dish I had while visiting Paris. Our waitress was the best, although she did ask for a tip which lacked etiquette. Best advice is to wait we was going to tip you way more than we did. Don't only downfall but other than that we had reservations and sat down immediately. Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone visiting Paris.
Forget the food, drink the wine and people watch
Letโs be honest you donโt go to lโavenue for the food as it is very much average. It is all about the people watching wine drinking patio action. I got exactly what I wanted but was disappointed with the simplest of foods. A little revamp and a little love would do this spot justice.
Very unprofessional and rude
Horrible. At first we were greeted nicely and figured this would be a great experience. Quickly our expectations were crushed. They fumbled our order completely, leaving us asking again and again to get what we were waiting for. They then tried to charge us for much more than what we ordered and even for the meals they never served. The same happened to the table right next to us and the hostess just rolled her eyes at them. Not sure what to think - is it a joke?! They charge more than double for coffee and pastry and yet they are so rude and unprofessional. They do not even deserve the โ1โ star.
Wonderful evening in Paris after a full day of shopping :)
We stayed at Hotel West End, so this restaurant was very close and right on the shopping strip. We did not have reservations and the place was packed due to "Fashion Week", but they made room for us anyway and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was amazing, attentive, I wish I could remember her name as she was simply the best! She did say she's been with the restaurant for years. Our food was perfect, my steak was cooked exactly as I asked, and the dessert was amazing. We almost didn't go here because of the reviews, but then I always say unhappy folks post reviews, happy customers rarely take the time to post one. All I can say is based on our experience, we had a wonderful meal, friendly staff, and great location. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Paris.
This was the lobster pasta.
It was OK nothing special. The wait was not too long. Service sucked. Definitely an overrated place. I wouldn't recommend going there. Such better places in Paris to go then here.
Superb venue, food and service
I donโt know what everyone else is on about in these 1-star reviews. My colleague had booked this restaurant for our one night in Paris and after skimming TripAdvisor I was frankly about to cancel the reservation. Luckily, I didnโt. We were greeted warmly, shown to our table which had a great view and were served by the same attentive waitress all night. The food - while pricey - was delicious and arrived as hot (or as cold, as in the tuna avocado terrine) as it was supposed to be. Everyone was happy with their meal choices and we started and finished with some great signature cocktails. I would definitely go back next time Iโm in Paris with my wife.
Best tip - donโt go!
Was in Paris to enjoy fashion week and we were told this was the place to go and eat. BIG MISTAKE. the servers attitude was disgrace - she looked down her nose at us and the food is very overrated. If you want a tip, donโt bother going here, itโs really overpriced and not that nice a vibe.
Au revoir
terrible service๏ผI asked a skinny african women servant to see the bill. We waited for a really long time. Then I asked to pay. We waitedโฆ after several minutes which made me sleep she came and said wait a second. The she continued to lay the tables nearby. Unbelievable service. Overpriced and overrated. Food is just okay except that chateau is really awesome. Hope the restaurant can raise the food price a lot so that ordinary guys wonโt have the qualification to have meals because the restaurant is only for the white guys who servants are willing to serve.
Cold food served at high prices
I was shocked that a restaurant in Paris that charges as much as this one would send out 2 cold main courses out of 5!! Two of us ordered the steak both meals came out cold even the spinach it came with. They took my meal off the bill as I was the only one that complained. Theres no excuse for a high end restaurant in Paris to allow cold food (thats meant to be hot) to be served to customers. The service and atmosphere was good but thats about it.
My second time in Paris, first time eating @ L'Avenue.
The place is cute, trendy and conveniently located in the high end shopping areas. Celine, Louis Vuitton and Dior are meters away (which is the highlight of 8th arrondissement.) My first time have escargot and it wasn't too bad. We also ordered foie gras, which was ok. Our server chose a nice red wine to accompany our dinner. We were seated upon arrival and stay until the restaurant closed.

AMAZING!!! We went for lunch and sat upstairs in a very cute area by the balcony, very French vibes. The food was spectacular. It was one of my favorite things we ate on our trip. It was unexpectedly very very good (I didn't have any expectations, but definitely wanted to try). I heard great things and it lived up to it. We mostly got seafood but it was BOMB. We got smoked salmon, egg rolls, dumplings, tuna tartar. I can just remember how tasty it all was as I am writing this. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying your lunch!
Above average.
Elevated french brassiere with a classy atmosphere. Both the food and service were great. Classics like escargot and french onion soup are simply amazing. You pay a little more here but they definitely deliver.
Way overpriced for the food you get! If you can skip this
Way overpriced for the food you get! If you can skip this place do it! The service is ok nothing special and the place is just a standard restaurant! You can get way better food for what you're paying here
Overrated The chicken curry look like a kids play dough
Overrated The chicken curry look like a kids play dough art and craft, and plus โฌ10 for rice on the side. I might as well save up and buy a Dior cup
Amazing meal - l'avenue continues to deliver.
My wife and I got engaged here 17 yrs ago and were excited to share a meal here with our kids. Great food and wine throughout the whole meal. Eleanor our server made the night for us - super attentive to our needs and just added to our special night. Thank you again for a wonderful meal and a spot that we will always hold special
Excellent food, drinks, service, menu, and ambiance- inside
Excellent food, drinks, service, menu, and ambiance- inside and out. I couldn't ask for more.. I would return.
Best meal we had in Paris
An unexpected delight. We saw this place on Instagram and managed to get a reservation. We were expecting it to be a bit overrated but it was the best meal we had in Paris and we are so glad we went. It had a very glamorous atmosphere and the staff were great. The menu was a little confusing but the waitress explained it well. I had โle Tigreโ which was incredible - so tasty. Drinks were good and we even went for dessert as we knew it would be nice. It was the most expensive meal we had in Paris but Iโd say it was worth it!
I normally don't write reviews, but I just had to for this
I normally don't write reviews, but I just had to for this one. My wife booked this place because it was supposed to be popular. But as I was reading the past reviews I told her maybe we should eat elsewhere. Well we ended up going and the reviews don't lie. 10 euros for bottle of water we had no other choice in getting. Food was ok but over priced. But the service is the worst. The server was extremely rude, rushed us through the entire meal, kept asking us if we were finished. But what made me write this review was when we got our bill. I was ok paying for the overpriced food I knew we ordered, but the server told us if we wanted to add tip. I looked at her and told her I thought tip is included and she told me no! I know she was lying but whatever, just shocked she would even ask in front of other people. So I told her to add 20 euros to the bill and she looked disappointed and practically just ripped the receipt from the machine and handed it to me rudely. There are plenty of other places in Paris to find good food worth the price, so don't make the same mistake I did coming here.
Great & not cheap
Great food, but pricey. Service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was upscale. Recommended for special occasions or splurges, but not for everyday dining.
Great restaurant in downtown Paris
Thais, our lovely waitress from Brazil took excellent care of us all night. The food was good, yes itโs expensive but you are in downtown Paris so that is to be expected! We had tuna avocado, vegetable soup, escargots, endive salad, tuna steak, steak tartare and artichoke salad and various desserts and wine all night and only the French fries were cold, the rest was perfect. Itโs lovely to people watch, you are in downtown Paris and lots of people walk by.
Do not eat here!
Hello, hope all is well, I was a guest at your restaurant, which I have multiple issues of. First of all majority of the staff has extremely high entitlement level. They think they are the guests and the guests are the employees. I think they have the situation mixed. They donโt understand that they work there, they are the employees they cannot speak to guests as like guests work for them๐. There is one particular person her name is Laura. I want to bring a strong attention to the owners as majority of guests, and itโs clearly shown on your reviews people cannot stand her actions. She is the most ignorant, unethical thing we have ever encountered in our entire life. The only position she should be allowed to be held, is a toilet cleaner maximum! This ludacris unstable individual, was called towards our table because the chef did not make our steaks correct instead of her, exchanging it and bringing us another plate, she asks why did you eat it? This thing doesnโt understand people have to try their food in order to tell if itโs properly made or not and to add insult on injury she charges us the bill and when we confronted her, she started raising her voice pointing her fingers hitting my chest. It came to a point we were going to have her arrested for assault and insults. Please do this company a favor and remove her immediately as we are also speaking with multiple attorneys to have her litigated, hopefully even prosecuted for her inhumane conduct she is a disgrace to humanity. This time she dealt with us people that are very ethical and kept everything professional. Next time she might encounter someone else that she might not be so lucky and might cause a fight! Start teaching her and rest of your frenchie crew that worldwide when people donโt like their food, it usually is exchanged right away instead of asking baseless uneducated questions like this Laura did, actually when we call her uneducated thatโs a compliment.
Food has been outstanding.
Great portion size and great location! My son ordered the shrimp and Risotto which was outstanding!

My restaurant when I come to Paris โฆ very very good :)

We felt Spoiled!
We had a table for two that had a beautiful view of the Avenue Montaigne lined with Christmas lights in the trees. We enjoyed several glasses of Sancerre and Chablis, a tuna and avocado dish along with a rich mushroom truffle risotto. We shared our entrรฉe which was a vegan curry with coconut sauce under a bed of edamame and spinach. Just delicious. Our service was wonderfully relaxed and unrushed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We will be back next time were are in Paris.
Not sure how this place is still open.
I recommend avoiding this place at all costs unless you want to put yourself through the worst dining experience.
Terrible service, extremely rude staff.
I made a reservation here days in advance and my entire party walked out because of the way we were treated. When we first walked in, we asked if we could be seated outdoors (there were several empty tables). The hostess (whose name was Maliyah) immediately started yelling at us, saying that it is not possible because "it will rain soon". We said that's okay. She still refused. It did not rain the rest of the night. She took us upstairs and seated us at a table in the back end of the restaurant, secluded from everybody. Again, we asked if we could be moved to a better table in the other room. She rudely responded "you do not have a reservation". We reminded her that we did. She pretended to go check the other room and came back, very rudely yelling at us, saying it's not possible and we can either sit or leave. I told her we are paying customers, and she needs to speak to us with respect. She started yelling at us in French, and was waving a knife and fork in my face. When we sat, my friend (who speaks French) told me that she was threatening to call security on us. We notified our waitress of what happened. She apologized (not her fault). We got up and left. I will never dine here, and I will ensure that my friends and family are aware that Arabs and Muslims are disrespected here. If you are looking for restaurants in Paris with delicious food, excellent service and great vibes, try Girafe, Gigi, CoCo and Matsuhisa. Don't waste your time or your money here.

Literally just a place for Instagram influencers to go and have their picture taken. There is nothing else to it. The food was standard, at best. The drinks were overpriced. This is where you go for beautiful people, not exceptional food.

We sat outside because the weather was nice they had an area for smoking and non-smoking, when we got there around noonish the inside was quite empty but by the time we left it had begun to fill up. The atmosphere was pretty upscale but still maintaining charm. I would recommend if nice enough to sit outside it's a beautiful area. We started off with the escargot which were decent and for mains we had the risotto, tuna steak, green salad, and smoked salmon. The risotto was served with shrimp which was really tender but the actually risotto was very creamy and thicker, more indulgent than a normal risotto. The tuna steak was pretty good but a little dry, served with some sort of olive compote which helped the dryness. The smoked salmon was delicious, served with larger sized Bellinis, chives and cream(SO good!), the green salad was pretty standard but refreshing. The staff is kind and swift but a little slower.
I adore this place.
It's glamorous, very French bistro style with an Eiffel Tower and landmark Dior views. I liked sitting outside and people watching and taking in the atmosphere.Reasonable wine list, great food menu and surprisingly pleasant service. It's just a very cool place. They start you with olives and small breads with your drinks. I choose the lobster frites and loved every bite after having a small fear that it could be bad but expensive tourist food. My friend had a chicken dish with some nice looking potato mash/purรฉe. I truly enjoyed myself and the beautiful surrounding streets. Wonderful location. I loved every moment of this experience.

I love this restaurant and always come for lunch when I'm in Paris. It's in a great location on a beautiful street and the food never disappoints. I recommend making a reservation but I think they are pretty good at seating walk-ins. Beautiful restaurant with good food and service, highly recommend coming here on your next visit to Paris!

Walked by this place four times this past week, I wanted to see what the hype was about. It didn't disappoint. I had the eggplant (aubergine) with burrata for starters and omelette with cรจpes mushrooms. Very tasty. I also had some pisco sour for cocktails. Not bad. It seems as if every server is an aspiring runway model. Very stylish outfits. Located across the street from the Dior store. Highly advisable to get reservations unless you are a solo diner
