La Petite Maison Cannes Reviews
Stereotypical French Attitude Prevails
Poor attitude, poor service, sub par food and overly expensive for no reason. However, the restaurant is beautiful.the evening started off with us waiting 7 minutes to check in while the hostess ( Miss Attitide-y) was fighting with a guest because she gave away their reservation because they were 20 minutes late. The wine list has not one reasonably priced bottle. We ordered the least expensive white wine (€95) and it was disgusting. When we called the server over they made a whole issue of having three separate people basically tell us we don't know what we are talking about and the wine was perfect. It tasted like vinegary gasoline. My wife and I eat in restaurants 5 times a week since the kids are gone and WE SORT OF KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. We sent the wine back and ordered two glasses of white wine from the menu. When the bus boy ( who was the highlight of the experience) brought the two glasses of wine, he said to us" you will be charged for the bottle they opened for you even if you don't drink it. Obviously I had them go get the bottle. Imagine my surprise if I had gotten the bill and saw the bottle on it and they disposed of the bottle. By the time all of the staff had tasted the wine, there was at least a full glass missing. The service was poor and we poured most of our bottle of wine by ourselves. Water, too. The food was barely passable. The burratta appetizer was a plain piece of cheese on a plate with a few tomatoes. The chicken had some salty citrus sauce on it that ruined the chicken. There are many fine restaurants in Cannes but unfortunately this is not one of them. The best part of the evening were the buskers who went from table to table trying to hustle the people for €50 to play a song. ( they had a 50 dangling from one of the guitars) and the DL who played after them. Thank g-d the DJ was so good. The music saved the poor atmosphere, attitude and service.
Beautiful Venue but Disappointing Experience
Initially we wanted to drive from Antibes to Nice but when I discovered that just 30min drive (instead of 1hr), there is Petite Maison in Cannes, we decided to change the reservation last minute. Luckily we got our reservation. The restaurant is beautiful and chic, but the MENUE is NOT the SAME. We were very disappointed with the servant. He didn’t serve us very well and what was the most annoying, was that he kept clearing up plates and food that we were not finished eating yet. Be aware that there are no drinks cheaper than 25€ (a large bottle of water). The super expensive Sole Meunière was almost cold. Starters are like 36-40€ So nice elegant place but be ready for a high bill.
worst place to go! zero customer service and rude staff! we
worst place to go! zero customer service and rude staff! we reserved this place for more than 30 people and basically paying thousands of euros for the reservation. however, for example our table of 10 ordered the drinks but were totally messed up in timing. 5 people got theirs but 5 didn't! Also the main dish was very late & cooked very different than what was ordered. but when we complained and refused the food, the manager said you still HAVE TO PAY FOR IT !!! this is crazy! I would stay away as they gauge their prices as well. For ex: We ordered don Julio reposado but they charged us the clase azul price!! complete rip off.

This restaurant has really good service! We were at Zuma and they were horrible to us, LPM took us without reservation although they were fully booked and catered to us with si much respect! Will be back again

This might have been the worst food I have ever had in my life. The service and ambiance was great (beautiful location). However, I just can't believe how awful the food was. My wife ordered the Penne Arrabiata, and it felt like it was pasta and Tabasco sauce. That cost 40 Euros. I had the Veal Chop, which was completely flavorless and unseasoned. That cost 78 Euros. Our total bill with drinks and appetizer (burrata...which was ok but nothing to write home about) was 250 euros. It literally felt like a 6 year old cooked it. Extremely terrible food. The best part was when the waiter picked up our quarter-eaten plates and asked how the food was, we said "not good". He said ok, and went on his way. If you are to go anywhere else, go to Zuma upstairs. We went there for drinks. Everyone was friendly and the drinks were super amazing. I think it's Asian fusion and I wish I went there for food instead. Please do not go to Le Petite Maison. Do not believe the Social Media influencers. They clearly got paid for this crap excuse for a restaurant.
Beautiful venue - but food was poor
Food was no where near as tasty as the LPM in Dubai. Was severed cold food and after sending it back the food still came back cold. Expensive for what it was considering the ingredients and wine are probably from nearby. Fantastic venue and location though with live entertainment from a band of singers working their way around the restaurant.
One of the worse dining experiences we had in all of Europe.
The staff were extremely rude and rushing us out the entire dinner. We were seeing the staff talk amongst themselves and then all look over at us. We asked them if anything was wrong. They replied, "You have to be out by 9pm" in an extremely rude tone. Our reservation was at 7:30, so that would have been fine if we were told at the beginning rather than getting whispers until we asked what the problem was. The food was extremely average and drinks were nothing to write home about. Overall, I would definitely skip this place.
Never!
So bad! Don’t bother! Stay home, stay thirsty, stay hungry rather than come here! Everything was horrible! Drinks are shown different prices on different menu. They pour the water without telling you it’s 16 euro. Sancerre tasted like a dollar bottle. Everyone roaming around speaking loudly and rudely. I didn’t order food. The couple next to me told me not to—theirs were terrible.
Very bad
We are very disappointed with a brunch concept and service in a restaurant. Bad selection of food and extra charges about nobody said. If you want to feel foolish go and try this restaurant. First time in life saw such unfriendly management. Keep your nerves and go to another place
The worse brunch we ever had
The worse brunch we ever had! 3 hot dishes for 4 pensons to share. What’s a shame) The managers who are not respect their guests and don’t care about the reputation
Extremely disappointing
Unfortunately this restaurant was the worst I’ve been to in the south of France. Service was awful. Waited so long for drinks. Food was of very poor quality, and when the wrong food was delivered to our table, we were told that what some of us had ordered from the menu, hadn’t been on there for over 2 months. Asked at least 3 times for more drinks, each request was ignored and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Things were dropped on our laps, and the food was really quite tasteless. I hate to write bad reviews, but this place sadly doesn’t even warrant the 1star that I’ve given.
Expensive restaurant where you feel tricked and scammed at every part of the meal
Disappointing food. The starters are tasteless, the green beans salad with foie-gras had 1 piece of foie-gras inside. Then we ordered the “côte a l’os” which is off-menu. 1kg of meat (not considering the bone) they charge 330€ (it was written nowhere and in any other LPM it costs around 200€). The quality was good but not to justify the price Then to finish off, the valet insists on a 20€ tip, while there is no price written on the ticket. Which is totally illegal. So it’s a tourist trap with nice decor and below-average food and sky-high prices
Very disappointed
Leaving in London, I often go to la petite maison which I am a fan. I am now in Cannes with my son and we were so disappointed not only by the food but by the service too. The bread was so chewy We had green beans salad with foie gras. The beans were sooty and we still are looking for the foie gras , the lentils salad was ok and the warm prawns were ok. As a main course we had the gambas which were so dry, the baby chicken was not cooked properly and the gratin dauphinois was good though. I had to wait 20mn for my wine glass. That is a real shame that to eat good french food we have to go to London. The next day we went to Fred l’écaille and we loved it.
Disappointed
What a disappointing experience. The manager was so rude and unprofessional. Everybody’s meals came one at a time and not together. The sides came after the meal! The drinks were not delivered as per the order. It is so over priced for a substandard meal and experience.

OMG what can I say about this restaurant! Everything was excellent from the start! They were very welcoming very classy we had an amazing time. The food is amazing and the place too ! And I want to add that the waitress Jessica was amazing. She took our dining experience to the next level. I saw lots of reviews talking about poor staff and service issues. I had a great experience..
Disappointed at La Petite Maison Cannes
This is an extremely expensive restaurant. But they do a great Brunch on Sundays for €115€ – with "free-flow wine and Champagne". I phoned the front desk well in advance to ask if the buffet is happening on the 25th of December as normal. 'Yes, it was' so I booked for 7 people. This would be the 3 rd time we have been there and have had great experiences and have recommended it to many friends. Yesterday was very disappointing. Despite it being the season of goodwill La Petite Maison decided that no complimentary glass of Champagne on arrival would be served and that the excellent buffet would be €125 euros, excluding beverages. When I asked the head waiter about this he explained that as it was Christmas day the price had gone up and drinks were now extra. The served-to-the-table starters with smoked salmon and no-salmon scrambled eggs, plus eggs benedict were delicious. Off to the impressive buffet with a huge choice of fish, vegetarian and meat dishes with a tempting array of cheeses and desserts. I like to choose my own food so this suits me nicely. The service was slow and unprofessional with the waitress spilling both the champagne and the wine. Yes, it was busy but even getting a waiter was difficult. The 3piece wandering band spent most of their time outside drinking and smoking and only once visited our table during our 4-hour stay. The sommelier knew his trade and Madame pee-pee downstairs was charming. The total bill for 7 people was €1382. €875 for 7 Christmas brunch. €507 for the champagne, wine, water, coffee and port. 3 coffees were €15.00 You would think that after spending over a thousand Euros a couple of coffees would have been complimentary. As locals, who all live in Cannes, and have been before we expected better service and attitude. Two of my guests were high-end event organisers and had expected to be impressed.
Ripped off by the Valet Service
We had to go to Cannes downtown. Uber would have been 15 euros. Valet Service said they can drive us but we need to pay cash. Told my friends I have 40 euros left. Valet guys whispered something in French to each other. We arrived after 4km and 8 minutes drive…I asked the driver how much I owe him. Answer: 40 euros. I mean you can do these things but do it smarter! This is a very low behaviour especially of employees of such “chick” place. I will never go back there. Too bad actually as food and service was good.
