il Bracco Dallas Reviews
I love this place.
The location is great, parking is good too. The decor is nice and there is plenty of seating inside as well as a nice little patio outside. I ordered the spicy gemelle and it was incredible. I forget what cocktail I ordered but it was fabulous as well and our server was wonderful about checking on us in spite of it being rather busy.
First, the service is amazing.
Great waiter and host. Second, timing of reservations. You should definitely book 3-4 weeks in advance if you want a starting time of 6p-7p on the weekends. If you want to eat much earlier or later, you can book later. I booked a 430pm, and, upon leaving, there were hoards of people waiting. Back to the service. The arugula salad tasted so bitter, and there was no lemon/lime to help cut that bitterness. I think there was a mistake so I told the waiter, and he asked me if I wanted lemons or to order another salad all together. So I did the latter with their kale salad. The food was brought really quickly, the support staff brought it quietly. I would always recommend staff that when they drop off food, to see if there is anything we needed (in this case, a clean plate). So I asked for that. Third, the food. The polenta was creamy but with a lot of butter that could be seen seeping out. Very tasty, though. Broccolini was decent, too, as well as the kale salad. Overall, it was a decent experience. Not sure if I will be back, but I would recommend it, just to try.
We had girls night here on a summer night.
We sat on the side patio, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cold! However, our hair was blowing like crazy. It was a Friday night so bar was a bit slow, but the drinks were delicious. I got the skinny margarita & it was a perfect balance of sweet and tart. There were 4 of us, so we decided to go family style for the whole dinner. Starting off with the focaccia and crispy artichokes. The whipped ricotta that came with the bread was so perfectly fluffy, I could have eaten it with a spoon. And the artichokes were AMAZING. The aioli was the perfect touch of lemon for the dish. For mains we split the spicy gemelli & the plaza salad. Both fantastic. The pasta had a nice kick, but nothing unbearable. The globs of goat cheese in the salad were so yummy, and the dressing was perfectly light & refreshing. They portion of chicken was great. After dinner we all chatted about how we don't come here often enough and have to add it to our rotation!
il Bracco has been on my list for years and I had the
il Bracco has been on my list for years and I had the opportunity to grab dinner here recently with some friends. We had a large group of 6 people and were able to easily book a reservation and be seated once at least 4 of us had arrived. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed compared to the ones around it! The hostesses and wait staff were all very kind and the entire place had a classy, warm ambiance. The menu was concise, offering a variety of Italian classics, wines and drinks. For our appetizer, we ordered two of the House Made Focaccia with whipped ricotta, roasted garlic, and thyme. Let me just say, this focaccia was amazing! It was beautifully baked, had a perfect olive oil crust on top along with the thyme. The whipped ricotta butter spread also had a pool of olive oil inside. It was spectacular! This dish was definitely my favorite part of the night and a reason that I plan to return! For my entree, I ordered the Pesto Rigatoni. The pasta was very well cooked and the amount of pesto was just right. One of my friends also ordered this pasta and enjoyed it as well. The rest of my group ordered the Spicy Gemelli, Cacio E Pepe and Pesto Crusted Salmon. No one had negative things to say about their dishes. I also tried the Spicy Gemelli myself, and I would love to order the dish during my next visit here. For drinks, a couple of my friends ordered the Bracco, with is frozen greyhound with Aperol, New Amsterdam and fresh grapefruit. They said it was delicious, and one of them, who had visited this restaurant before, said it was her favorite thing on the menu. Lastly, on our way out, one of the hostesses even offered to take a group picture of us. She was so kind and went above and beyond! Overall, it was a wonderful night and I am pleased with each of the dishes I tried. I would love to come back to get the house made focaccia bread, try another pasta dish, and take a look at the wines and dessert menu. Thanks for a great night!
Wow, what a mixture of sights and sounds.
The roar of finely tuned European exotics, the smell of freshly perfumed Dallas socialites, and of course pasta tossed in vibrant sauces. Very busy on the weekend would be an understatement, so make sure you plan accordingly. I also have to establish some relativity regarding this review. Here in Dallas there is a rather obvious gap in Italian cuisine. It's actually difficult to find good plates of starch prepared in a way that honors its origins. Il Bracco solves that problem by executing timeless classics with fresh ingredients and thoughtful moderate portions. While it would perhaps fare less gloriously in other metro areas, this is as good as it gets for Dallas. The bolognaise is spot on, though I am somewhat curious as to why they use lamb instead of veal in their protein trifecta, but it is excellent nonetheless. Also the Al Limone, which is more or less a shrimp scampi, comes complete with 3 succulent 10/15 Key West shrimp. This is pretty much exactly how I make it at home. While not their fault due to the apparent popularity, it is deafeningly loud inside. For those with rather sensitive hearing, I would recommend the outside seating, though in the peak of summer that could pose other problems.
What an excellent dining experience.
The place was packed and had a buzz throughout the entire joint. Beautiful dining room and outside patio too. This place is truly bougey... from the crowd to the menu prices, so do some mental adjusting if you need to before you go in. But with that you do get some top tier service from the waitstaff. The frozen greyhound was the perfect drink for a hot summer day. I had about three. The fried artichokes, we were told, were a must order. Interestingly, the dipping sauce was better than the actual fried artichoke, still really good though. The meatball appetizer with the focaccia and side of whipped ricotta is a meal on its own and was a top 3 meatball of all time. Simply perfect. My wife's scallop dish smelled really fishy as it was placed in front of her but didn't taste that way thankfully. I thought they were cooked a bit under, but she didn't mind. The gemelli alla vodka was an absolute delight. Perfectly cooked pasta and an amazingly executed sauce. She also ordered a side of polenta (because that's her favorite) and it was one of the best we ever had. But do not leave without trying the Italian sandwich. Everything about it was phenomenal and canceled out every previous Italian sandwich I ever had. Please get this. All in all, a wonderful dining experience.
I came here on a date.
We had a reservation and were sat ~30 minutes late, as they were running behind. Good for them being so popular but this restaurant was sooo noisy that we couldn't hear each other speak. It's definitely good for groups, but I wouldn't so much recommend it for an intimate date. It's on the dresser side in my opinion, we were dressed up as were most of the people there. When we did finally get that, the food was really nice and there was a little bit of a wait for our meals but nothing too crazy. I'd definitely order takeout from here or maybe try eating in again but not on the weekend.
Burrata salad was amazing!!! Really, really good.
. fresh and seasoned perfectly. Chicken piccata was cooked well and oh so delicious! A glass of cab was priced well. Service was great. Super cute place. The sign is behind a tree so the place is easy to miss.

Came for a birthday and had the whipped ricotta, spicy rigatoni with meatballs and chicken piccata. Everything was delicious and service was great. They brought an olive oil ice cream dessert that was incredible for the birthday! I will be back!
The food and service are always amazing here.
This is easily my favorite Italian restaurant in Dallas.
So good!
Fantastic! I loved every part of my lunch! I especially recommend the crispy artichokes!! Delicious and unlike anything I've ever tried before. I cannot wait to return!
Not Perfect but Great food and Service!
Not perfect but great food, excellent service and fun! A little too loud for my taste but the artichoke starter and Burrata and Caesar Salads were a great place to start. I thought hard about the Sea Bass but went for the pasta and was not disappointed. The homemade pasta dishes were great and pasta cooked perfect al dente! Small but excellent wine list top off the night. It was very crowded but we were seated right away. Bar is very popular and it can get a little too packed but overall great service and good food won us over.
Amazing Food
This place is spectacular. The food is fabulous and the service is incredible. We visit Dallas often and we will be back.
Italy comes to Dallas
We loved it! Our waiter (Jacob) brought us Artichoke Hearts to try since it was our first time - delicious! The meatballs were superb and we thoroughly enjoyed the hamburger and fried chicken sandwich. The vibe of the place was awesome; the service superb and the food was fresh and delicious! Weโll be back!
Buono!
Delicious all the way around! Meatballs were spectacular and the crispy artichokes were unique & tasty. Focaccia was outstanding. Cacio a pepe was very well done.
Great first impression and will return!!
Nicholas the manager set the stage and Allison, our waitress, continued the great service!! Food, wine, and staff treated us wonderfully!! Trendy and very busy restaurant and bar!! Well managed, so things run smoothly and efficiently. Even the restrooms are kept clean and tidy.
Thumbs down
They donโt honor reservations. They treat you like a walk in that is โon the list.โ It used to be nice here but now itโs more like a Chilis. Too bad.
Tightly run ship, amazing service
Picturesque a little place, smack dab in the middle of a high end shopping area in Dallas. Plenty of parking plus an outside patio for warmer temps. First and foremost, the industrious, hop-to staff was polite, efficient, accommodating and extremely graciousโ One of the most delightful group of girls (in our trip) I have had the pleasure of being attended by. Just Wow!! Never had to ask for more waterโ I just love that! Prices for lunch were a tad high but given the location, well in keeping with rest of the neighborhood. We started with the meatballs with focaccia bread (and a side of whipped ricotta we added from another appetizer offering); big BIG yum!!! My daughter was so fond , we ordered up another to go. I had the cavatappi with a spicy vodka sauce and fresh basilโ delish version of the standard, but not too much heat to dampen the flavors. Could only consume half, with lots left to take home. My daughter had the Caesar salad with chickenโbeautifully presented with whole romaine leaves which required cutting, and a tangy Caesar dressing variant (I am guessing a mustard was added??) . Unfortunately, it wasnโt to my daughters likingโthe basically untouched dish was removed by our server who offered up an alternative, taking the salad off the bill. Place was PACKED early Saturday for lunch, so if you want a seat, you may want to call ahead.
