I can confidently say this was one of the best dining

5/5 by πŸ‘» @Chris V. on 08/17/2025

I can confidently say this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, I felt taken care of--every detail was thoughtful, every dish told a story, and every bite was unforgettable. Marcos, the head chef crafted a journey that felt personal and intimate, like he was letting us peek into his soul through the food. The progression of flavors was seamless: delicate, surprising, and perfectly balanced. One of my favorite moments was when he placed the toro in front of me, explained its origin, and I took that first buttery bite. It literally melted away, and I caught myself grinning like a kid. Beyond the food, the service was warm without ever feeling rushed. I felt like I was part of something special, not just another guest. The staff anticipated everything before I even had to ask, and yet the atmosphere stayed relaxed and welcoming. This is not just dinner--it's an experience. It's the kind of place that reminds you why dining can be an art form. I'll remember this meal for years, and I can't wait to come back. Easily a 5/5.

I was really looking forward to this dinner, and assumed

3/5 by πŸ‘» @A M. on 06/26/2025

I was really looking forward to this dinner, and assumed the price meant we were in for a real treat. Ultimately, we were disappointed. Obviously, I'm just one humble htown diner versus multiple diners who have left rave reviews, but to give a little background on my foodieness (floabw), my husband and I frequently travel just to eat, and have been lucky enough to try Michelin restaurants all around the globe. I wish I could start with the pros, but TBH, even the slightly positive aspects felt like a huge try hard. The restaurant is very dark and it felt more like a goth version of Benihana than a high end, Omakase. And really, it's only high-end because of the price and yes, some premium ingredients, but this is not a Michelin level dining experience. There were no complex layers of flavor. They tried to do some gimmicky tricks like using a blow torch to drip fish fat, but I can't say it actually added anything. Every dish seemed somewhat similar, and seemed to use the same kind of rice and vinegar. Even the plating seemed a little sloppy. The ambience was ruined by the overly loud music and the raucous laughter of the party at one end, not to mention the way they rush you out. Their attempt at a parting gift of a tin of mints seemed cheap. I would suggest just not doing anything at all. Overall, a real disappointment. Nothing was gross or anything. But a very lackadaisical performance for the price point and hype. Based on the other people in the restaurant with us, I think many of these reviews are posted by somewhat younger patrons who may not have actually experienced true fine dining.

We had a fantastic dinner experience and learned some fish

5/5 by πŸ‘» @Travis B. on 06/25/2025

We had a fantastic dinner experience and learned some fish facts along the way. We brought two bottles of white wine (as stated it's BYOB) and the 15 courses were fabulous. The main chef we interacted with was the Brahman haha. Great personality and fun. I would highly recommend coming for any celebration in your life. Even just because it's Saturday and you're worth it

We came here for my girlfriend's birthday and were super

5/5 by πŸ‘» @Jonathan V. on 06/04/2025

We came here for my girlfriend's birthday and were super impressed by the omakase experience that Chef Marcos and his team provided. Hidden Omakase is located in the Galleria area next to the conservatory and Burger Chan. There's no sign on the outside of the building but we knew we were in the right place by the Michelin sign outside of the restaurant. Hidden Omakase only does one seating on Tuesdays and it's a smaller menu than their normal dinner service. It is $150 per person on Tuesdays as opposed to the regular $225 per person for other full dinner seatings. You are also able to order off of an A La Carte menu close to the end of dinner service before dessert is served so that is a nice option if you want more to eat or enjoyed a particular piece of sushi. Ambiance: the restaurant is a bar type restaurant that seats about 24 people total. There were only 12 people when we went on Tuesday so it was a little more intimate. The lighting is dimmed and the restaurant plays some fun music to keep the vibes high during dinner. The seats are barstool seats so they can be a little tight but you'll be on the edge of your seat anyway trying to watch your chefs prepare the courses. They also customized each couple's menu if they were celebrating a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Another nice touch from Hidden Omakase. Parking: there is a large parking lot in the front of the restaurant so parking is never an issue here. Service: the service is wonderful at Hidden Omakase. There was one chef dedicate to each section of 6 people which made for fun conversation and interaction. They also provide a water service unlike anything I've seen before. They pick a still and carbonated water that are special for the menu that they have. We had Eira water and you could definitely taste the difference in quality of water. It was a nice touch to the dinner. You can also bring in wine and any wine over 720 ML gets charged a $20 corkage fee. This place was top notch in keeping us fed, keeping our glasses full and engaging us during the 2 and half hour dinner. Food: Below was the menu for the night. Instead of talking a one each dish, I will give you my highlights. Each dish/piece of sushi was individually crafted as the night went on and the chefs explained the origin and nature of each dish as it was served. All of the nigiri pieces were amazing and you could tell they only use the highest quality fish. Some of our favorites were the Hotate Kaiso which was an appetizer served with Hokkaido scallops. This dish was so refreshing and the light texture of the scallops paired nice with the seaweed and matcha. The Santa Barbara Uni was so creamy and briny and provided a refreshing taste between fish nigiri bites. The Muki nigiri was a scallop nigiri that was firm, flavorful yet light on the tongue. Each nigiri piece was prepared with care and you could tell the chefs knew what they were doing with each wasabi and soy serving added to the piece of nigiri. We ordered the Akami from the a la carte menu and that was my girlfriend's favorite piece. The menu rotates every 3 months here so each menu is seasonal. Hotate Kaiso (Hokkaido, wild rice, sesame matcha, seaweed Lobster roll (bonito beurre blanc, celery) Sashimi charcuterie (Glory Bay, pastrami salmon, tofu feta, wasabi almond, togarashi apricot jam, ocal olive) Ishidai (Knifejaw Snapper) Santa Barbara Uni Kamasu (Red Barracuda) Inada (Japanese Mackeral) Muki (Scallop) Masu (Ocean Trout) Mosaic Carrot (Japanese vegetable curry, potato hay) Hirame Tom Kha (Chiba, cocnut, aji Amarillo, carrot) Sweets (Matcha crumble, strawberry cream, strawberry ice cream) Overall, I would highly recommend Hidden Omakase. The price point is a little high so I would recommend going for special occasions to make the experience that much more special. Chef Marcos showed us why they were the only sushi restaurant in Houston with a Michelin Recommendation. The team is top notch and the food is to die for. The experience will make you want to come back time and time again.

Incredible food and great experience, was cool to see all

5/5 by πŸ‘» @Karen B. on 05/12/2025

Incredible food and great experience, was cool to see all the fish that were being served and the staff was happy to answer questions. Great dining experience- don't know if it's worth the almost $800 price tag but it's definitely worth a try

Went here for our anniversary.

4/5 by πŸ‘» @Britney G. on 04/25/2025

They definitely make you feel special! Our menu was specialized to say "happy anniversary" which was a nice touch. The restaurant is small with a bar only seating set up (24 seats max). Going on a weeknight, they were not as busy, which we loved because it wasn't too loud and we got special attention from the chefs. The food was very unique and delicious. I give the chefs mad props for the creativity and fusion. The quality was outstanding. Great customer service! Only knock is I'm not sure it's worth the price point. We ordered just a couple of extra pieces and the bill was almost $700 with tip. And that's BYOB too!

2/5 by πŸ‘» @Andrew F. on 02/20/2025

The lineup included 3 courses of various mackerels and then a serving of gizzard shad. Thats right, American Shad that are known to most people as baitfish. I could hardly keep from laughing when they paraded the little jewel around the bar to the patrons. Never again. Staff were warm and welcoming and we enjoyed ourselves despite eating food grade bait.

WOW THIS WAS AN EXPERIENCE.

5/5 by πŸ‘» @Wesley S. on 12/31/2024

First of all the price is almost $500/couple after trip and all fees. Time: 2 1/2 hours - I did not expect that. Service: was excellent the staff was awesome. They explain every dish and the story and background. This is not a quick sit down dinner this is a long experience. BYOB... and being someone fun and you can talk to. I saw several groups and couples that barely spoke to each other and looked miserable. Overall great experience not something I would do again but it was fun to do it once.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
