Guard and Grace Denver Reviews
Service was great for our table of six.
They can seat a lot of people and the noise level in some spots is very high. We sat way in the back which was better. Started with the Octopus and found it the most tender I have; and I eat Octopus often. The others had salads or crab cakes, again very good. Four people had fish as their mains and all seemed happy. One had the filet with crab oscar on top, a real hit. I had the big bone in rib eye. Very good but not great. Though after five steak houses in Denver, this was the best so far. Sides were okay except the mushrooms which were too vinergary. Desserts were so-so. All in all a very satisfying.

I had the filet flight with the loaded baked potato and my partner had the ribeye and potato. Two of the three filets were good; they were all prepared perfectly. The ribeye was more medium than medium well but he didn't complain. Their bread and butter is to die for. The problem is the blaring club music that makes everyone have to basically yell at their tables to be heard, raising the overall decibels in the restaurant to a level that makes you want to rush out. I'm guessing they plan it that way to turn tables more quickly.
If you are ever in Denver, this is the best place to dine
If you are ever in Denver, this is the best place to dine bar none! It's rare that a steak house can cook the most delicious sea bass and cod! We loved everything from the considerate hostess, the impeccable service and the amazing food. If you are a foodie, you must try Guard & Grace!
Food and Service is phenomenal.
The wagyu fillet mignon is the best I have ever had. Service is top notch as well! Ambiance is ok. We were seated by a window. The view was the walkway into the building. They need to put some planters/pots with flowers and make the view more appealing. It was our anniversary and all the waitress said was happy anniversary. For this nice of a place, they need to do something extra for special occasions - like a free champagne toast or a special dessert or a card from Guard and Grace wishing us a happy anniversary. They need some kind of extra special touch. I also think it needs to be a little more darker in the restaurant so it can be more romantic.
Highly recommend this place.
Every staff member had a smile on their face, drinks were delicious, food was delectable. The restaurant itself was clean and cute.

My partner and I were in Denver for one night and looking for a nice dinner. He showed me the menu for Guard and Grace and I said, this is it!! This place did not disappoint! The staff were very engaging and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back!!
Been here twice now and the food is incredible.
The cocktails are creative and delicious. Service is nothing short of amazing, and the ambiance and vibes are upscale yet fun and inviting.

I recently celebrated Father's Day at Guard and Grace and had a fantastic experience. The grass-fed filet mignon cooked medium well was absolutely delicious, tender, and full of flavor. The black truffle Mac n cheese and whipped potatoes served as perfect side dishes, complementing the steak perfectly. The service at Guard and Grace was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was top-notch. They made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire meal. The ambience of the restaurant was just right for any celebration. It had a classy and elegant atmosphere, creating a wonderful dining environment. Whether it's a special occasion or just a night out, Guard and Grace provides the perfect setting. I also had the pleasure of trying the Biancospino Moscato Dasti wine, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sweet and refreshing wine. Overall, my experience at Guard and Grace was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambience was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Great atmosphere.
The people were super nice. Drinks were interesting and unique. I had the strawberry fields. Some wine as well. Now let's talk food. I got the short rib. This dish had all the curb appeal. Loved the purée. The pico added texture but didn't like the pineapple. Now for the meat. I was super disappointed in the meat. It was super tough and had not finished braising. Made my dish 2 stars. My wife had the house seafood pasta which was awesome but overpriced at $100. The whipped potatoes were pretty good. Brussels sprouts were ok. The burrata bread was good but the dish needed more of the micro greens and balsamic. Lastly the tuna sushi appetizer was actually amazing. All in all, I would not spend $400 again.

Incredible meal! We had the crispy tuna and a5 gyoza dumplings plus French onion soup to start. Had an amazing time, food was delicious. Then ordered filet, ribeye, sea bass, and short ribs with some sides. Jonathan the waiter was great, everything came right on time so we could all enjoy together. Handmade gnocchi, crispy brussel sprouts, and potatoes were great sides. The desserts for our anniversary/birthday were delicious! 10/10

With nearly 1800 reviews, what can I add about Guard and Grace that hasn't already been said? Troy and Grace Guard serve-up the best cuts of steak, sides and top tier wine in their high-end, trendy downtown Denver steakhouse. The atmosphere is trendy and bustling. The service is attentive but not overbearing. I would say: try to make reservations. Busy nights it can be hard to get a table and with good reason. Also, valet-parking.

Enjoyed a meal with my family of 6, it was decent, but not worth the hype and hefty price tag. When we saw the check, wished we'd gone to Capital Grille instead. No dishes stood out as incredibly delicious and my husband got food poisoning (probably from the Caesar Salad, since he's the only one who ate that), he was horribly sick all night. Won't be going back, ever.
One of the best overall restaurant experiences I've had in
One of the best overall restaurant experiences I've had in years. I was impressed last time here two years ago, but everything became over the top 5 stars this visit. Every app and entrée were perfectly cooked with flawless unique flavor accomplished. The server, expediters and management all have their masters in guest satisfaction and positive energy. The lighting, ambient music, table spacing and flow of staff and guest traffic were super comfy. Living up in the Vail I only get to Denver so often, but cannot wait till the next visit to Guard and Grace. Troy Guard has mastered this food service thing!
What a wonderful meal.
We sat at a high seat at the chefs kitchen. Loved the experience of watching Angel prepare dishes he was very friendly and answered all our questions about what we he was preparing. Everything was delicious. The Gyoza was a dance in our mouth. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The foraged mushrooms were delightful and loved the grilled fresh garlic in them. The au gratin potatoes are a must! Then dessert, I love ice cream so I asked to just have a scoop of the burnt sugar ice cream that was on the toffee cake, omgoodness they need to sell that by the pint I tell you.hahaha. The Starwberry Rhubard Butter cake is so light and moist and flavorful. As you can see, it was a great meal with excellent service from Dustin!!!

Visited here for the first time and everything from the time we walked in until the time we left was 100%. Our server Brian was great. Very detailed in explaining the specials and not just the food, but the experience. I was in awe. Filets were spot on, Caesar salad was HUGE even for the half portion. Everything was hot and flavorful.. the truffle Mac, Brussels sprouts, shrimp, king crab, oysters, cosmonaut cocktail! I highly recommend and will definitely back!

Upscale/trendy atmosphere with great steaks + some of the best & largest sides I've had at any steakhouse. Service is on point and we always leave wanting to come back asap.
Amazing atmosphere amazing people really good food.
Don't forget to try the brussels sprouts and the pies are amazing. I gotta say they are very attentive to providing an amazing meal and atmosphere!
Group High Top Table
Business Lunch. We were planning for 4, then 5, then 7. Kept keeping in touch with the restaurant and in retrospect we could have easily handled 9! Not having been previously I didn’t know about the excellent seating arrangements for a group business lunch but now that i do - and hopefully by reading this you do too and will take advantage of their excellent food and service.

Such a memorable meal! My party of 5 was celebrating a birthday and we were able to make last minute dinner reservations here. Let me just dive right into the food. For appetizers, we had the octopus and crab cake. The octopus itself was tender and soft and accompanied with a spicy red sauce that provided a good kick. Bonus points that it was cut conveniently into 5 pieces. The crab cake was seasoned really well, cooked perfectly, and provided a good sweetness from the orange slice and a crunch from the onion topping. 3 of us shared the 32 oz tomahawk, and wow, the flavor was on point. It was juicy, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Perfectly charred with good marbling, I can't say enough good things about this! It was presented with a nice pop of color from the roasted carrots and it came with a side of demi glaze. Since this was a shared dish, we each got our own plate and it came out nice and warm, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. Accompanying our entrees were a handful of sides. The gnocchi were pillows of happiness. The broccolini was nicely roasted, had a good crunch, but had a strong fish sauce flavor that could be a bit overpowering. The truffle mac and cheese was my favorite though. The mac was cooked al dente with a noticeable truffle flavor, and, not to mention, very generous portion size. The service was also impeccable. Our waitress was amazing in helping us navigate the menu as first time diners and came back to check on us frequently, even as the restaurant filled up. She made this dinner celebration that much more memorable.

I finally had a good excuse to try this restaurant and had a terrific dinner last week. The place is very nice, so dress up a bit and make a reservation at their website. For appetizers we had the carrots and burrata - both were delicious, and I'd especially recommend the burrata. Dinner were steaks and they offered a few varieties. I had a NY strip and it was prepared perfectly. Also had the brussel sprouts and they were excellent. The appetizers were generously sized portions and I enjoyed some of each the next day for lunch. The wine selection is more than ample, including many options by the glass. Service was great. The place is not cheap - it was a little over $200 for two people, but I felt it was worth it, and look forward to returning.
An average experience
We went here for a special evening out. It was a very average experience. The staff was fine but not exceptional. The food was good but not fabulous. The portions of sea bass were very small. It would be an ok place to go for drinks and maybe appetizers but there are better options for dinner.
AMAZING dinner at guard and Grace!!! They are fancy here
AMAZING dinner at guard and Grace!!! They are fancy here don't stack your plates or anything they do that for you lol. I saw there was a dress code so I was like ong am I gonna fit in here? But some people still wear jeans and stuff. I got this drink with the coolest huge ice cube ever, it had a bubble wrap texture just look at the pic. I couldn't stop staring at it. Oh and the same cocktail came with a chive but I thought it was a straw lol! Nope. Took a chomp out of it though and it complimented the drink well. Also don't worry if you don't know what kind of letterhead your steak is supposed to be - A5 8 by 11 who knows, they will tell you what you need. I got some fish and confirmed they don't serve it with eyes (sometimes fancy places do that ). Thanks for a great date guard and Grace. I sure let my guard down here.
Steak and flavors to open your palate
This is such a nice trendy steakhouse, I stopped in for a late night dinner. The kitchen staff came out with a Tuna Hamachi taste on a spoon that opened up our pallets and was so delicious we wanted more. Started with the French Onion Soup, which was perfectly blended with flavor. the rolls looked so good, but I stayed away. Wish I didn't! We both ordered Filets, med rare. with three sides: Black truffle Mac and cheese. Brussel sprouts, whipped potatoes, and tried the gnocchi. Home-made ice cream and cookies!!! Samantha, our server was just the best at making suggestions and so professional. The flavor of each item was just great. The filet for me was just a little more than Med Rare but very good. My friends' steak was perfect, and the sprouts were interesting, not many whole pcs of Brussel Sprouts but lots of flavor. The Whipped potatoes had a little cheese in It that gave it a thicker than expected consistency, but I liked them. I felt that the wipped potatoes were even better than the gnocchi. The cookies and ice cream were a perfect ending to a very nice meal. Joanne stopped by the table to check on us since my steak was overcooked, I appreciated the visit. Next time I am in the area, I will make sure to try some of the other signature dishes.
Intetnational group dining
It is a nice venue and location downtown. We Ubered in, so I am not certain about Valet/parking (I didn't see the service and a hotel garage was nearby). Everything we had was very tasty except for a couple of items. The Wagu short ribs were very tender, like from a crockpot, but also tasted that way too. The tuna app was overcooked for my taste. And I expected much less large white stems in the salads. However, the rest (shrimp cocktails, scallions, lobster, East coast oysters, prime rib, mac-n-cheese, cookie balls, key lime pie, and much more) were excellently prepared. Very nice overall.
Food over salted
Ordered the Sea Bass because they were out of the barramundi that was on their March menu card. Super salty, I could barely finish it. We ordered the brussel sprouts and they were way too salty as well. Chocolate chip cookies for dessert were salty as well, so the chefs cooking need to lighten up on salting. I would not recommend this restaurant. A friend ordered a NY Strip, picture added. Sad, over-cooked carrot on top and price was for over $50. This restaurant was so disappointing and overpriced for what they serve.
Fine dining in Denver
I was in a restaurant with my son. We tried onion soup, meat and fish. Everything was at the highest level. Food, service, presentation. No wonder the restaurant is Michelin starred. I recommend!
Food can be better.
Why they are bringing so much bread? Great service, good drinks, food was not impressive, lamb was too salty, octopus really good, Foie gras too sweet. Good atmosphere.
Great food, ok service
Food and service amazing, we were celebrating a birthday, it was just 2 of us. Ordered oysters (amazing) the octopus (amazing) my boyfriend ordered the lamb and I ordered the steak a la cart with the side of gnocchis. Everything was delicious. I was surprised that after ordering so much food, we were charged a sharing fee for the dessert. I was very full and did not feel like eating a full dessert and just had one bite of the bread pudding. I am not a cheap person and just paid it with out saying anything. It was definitely a first for me a $15 dessert and an $8 sharing fee. If I would have know that there was a sharing fee for dessert I would have just ordered another dessert. Even if I was just going to take one bite of it or would have gotten it to go.
G+G is top-tier
Guard and Grace was one of the best date nights my wife and I have had. We came for our anniversary and had a great experience. the staff were attentive and the timing of meals came out perfectly. Steak tasted great and was cooked to perfection. We were even given a complimentary dessert for our celebration. I will say - pay attention to parking. I wasn't aware of any valet or nearby street parking, so we parked in the nearest parking garage. It was closed when we came out from dinner so luckily we caught someone running by that knew the code (potentially valet??).
Place you fly to for a dinner
This restaurant is that good that we always plan our trip to Denver with a evening reserved for a dinner there. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain each dish and make recommendations based on our preferences. The food itself was outstanding. There are no words to express how good it is! We travel all over the world , from Europe to Asia, and if you ask me what is number one restaurant for us, it is Guard and Grace with no doubts. Each dish was skillfully prepared and presented beautifully. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, and the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality ( oysters were absolutely perfect). On top of that, the chef gave classic well know dishes such as gyodza dumplings or a ravioli completely new, unforgettable touch. To make the evening even more memorable, as it was our anniversary celebration, the restaurant surprised us with a greeting card signed by every member of the team. Overall, our experience at Guard and Grace Denver was exceptional. The service, ambiance, and food all exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. Our must try: Gyodza dumplings French onion soup! Oysters Ravioli Steak Burrata Octopus
