4.5 Stars Fresh & Flavorful We finally made it elements in
4.5 Stars Fresh & Flavorful We finally made it elements in Vancouver. It was pretty easy to find and they had a parking lot behind the restaurant with a back door making it convenient. The staff we welcoming and very friendly. They have atrong emphasis on local, sustainable sourcing and ever-changing, inventive dishes. We shared the beet salad which hit the spot. For entrees we had, roasted king salmon, parmesan crusted petrale sole and rigatoni. Definitely a spot we would come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dinner in Vancouver.
We love this place as a special treat.
Their French Toast is my favorite. The place has a cute style to it and the service has always been great.
The food was really good, the small amount we got.
Paid $40 for 3 scallops and some risotto, definitely not worth the price. Had to order a pizza now to not be hungry.
We walked in without a reservation.
High risk but it was a Wednesday. Staff set our expectations properly for service and thus exceeded expectations. Food was outstanding. Wine was well Paired. Excellent experience. Will definitely come back. Must visit in the couve.
Just went for dinner.
...safe to say this is the best restaurant in Vancouver. It's a small intimate place with outstanding menu items. Service was good and wine list was as well. I had the pork chop and my wife had the sole...both were outstanding. Can't wait to come back!
This has been my favorite restaurant for a number of years
This has been my favorite restaurant for a number of years now. Chef Miquel has selections of creative and varying menu items that are exquisitely paired and delicious! Oh my goodness, the layers of flavor you encounter are sublime! I cannot say enough about the quality and presentation. Accompanied by a stellar staff this delightful place is not to be missed. Once discovered you'll go back again, and again!
We ate here last night and the food was amazing.
The heirloom salad and bread and butter to start was spot on. I had scallops that were heavenly with the most beautiful presentation. Marco our waiter was fabulous and was doing it all! Bartender, waiter, he nailed it. My husband had the octopus and he said it was devine. Will definitely return.

Everything we have tried on the menu is amazing! The service is outstanding. This is why I don't do reviews; they want you to write a novel
We called for reservations and wanted to support our local
We called for reservations and wanted to support our local eateries. I have to say the food was okay but overpriced. It was as costly as a top restaurant but the delivery was more middle of the road. We both felt a little insulted that we spent 45.00 for an arugula salad with 2 slices of grapefruit and a single scallop. Rock fish with a squash purée, and a slice of. Chocolate moose
I am a huge fan of elements.
We've dined here multiple times and always reccomend this restaurant to friends / family. We had brunch yesterday right before closing with friends from out of town 4 of us + a 1 year old. The server said because we were a "large party" we had gratuity automatically added...... 22% for 4 adults and a baby. I've never had automatic gratuity charged for a group smaller than 6. And I think this should be communicated at the beginning.
Scallops A Must
The best scallop dish I've had in a very long time. This was an accidental find during a 24-hour stop in Vancouver. The steak tartar with bone marrow was excellent; however, the scallops were the star of the show. They were beautifully cooked with some very clever flavour combinations. Service and staff were friendly, helpful and gave excellent service.
THE Date Night Spot
This is THE place to get a nice dinner in Vancouver. Probably the most elevated menu in the area with a chef behind it all who is working extremely hard to raise the food scene in Vancouver.
Element = Fantastic again!
Just enjoyed Elements Vancouver again last night. Everything was fantastic, as usual. The imagination the chef has in the dishes is mind blowing. Food quality, portions, service, drinks, atmosphere, etc. are all top-notch! We had for starters... bread w/ roasted shallot butter, lion's mane mushroom cakes, and octopus ala plancha (my hands-down favorite). For mains we had... striped sea bass over polenta w/, turnip, nappa cabbage, etc. + sturgeon over butterfly pea risotto, bok-choy, carrot ginger puree, kumquats, etc. Chef Miguel never disappoints and always surprises with new and interesting flavors. The service team there is also fabulous!
Wouldn’t allow SERVICE DOG
WOULDN’T ALLOW MY SERVICE DOG INSIDE. 3 minutes after we were seated, the waitress came up and said that the chef/owner told her that even though I have a service dog, he wouldn’t allow us to sit inside! He couldn’t even come out to tell me that himself. Will be reporting this restaurant to the DOJ because this is DISCRIMINATORY AND ILLEGAL.
Best meal in Vancouver
This was the best meal I’d had in quite some time. Tomato salad starter and duck breast entree. I would have liked a few more wine options, but what they had was sufficient
Great good cooking without a necessary balance of flavors and textures
A forward-thinking restaurant in an interesting, converted retail space on Vancouver Washington’s Main Street. The chef clearly knows the way around the kitchen, the main dishes were cooked to perfection. The wait staff, true to their name, made us consistently wait even though the restaurant was not busy. I say this coming from Barcelona, Spain where slow is a byword of restaurant service. We started with the crab and brie fondue – the crab attracted us to the dish which we split as a starter for four. Sadly, the crab was hard to find, and the artichoke hearts overpowered the delicate taste of the crab and brie. Then I had impeccably cooked scallops with dungeness crab risotto, yellow corn, pork belly, lemon, and wild mushrooms soubise. Again, like with the fondue, good cooking does not make up for a kitchen that has not figured out the balance of flavors and textures. Too many things going on, too much confusion in my pallet. There was no tour ‘de force, no explosion of favors in harmony. My wife had the salmon, seared to perfection, but was surrounded by too many other ingredients. Dessert was crème brulee which arrived in a deep narrow bowl. The result was cream pudding under flamed sugar. Certainly not crème brulee, but tasty.
Best fine dining in Vancouver Washington
We have been going to Elements since it made the switch from being Willems and Chef Sosa bought it and turned it into Elements. What an incredible upgrade from Willems! The food is always interesting, innovative, well Plated and presented. The service is great and stable, meaning I've seen many staff stay for years. This is a fine dining experience and we have never had the exact same dish twice and we go fairly frequently. Every once in a while he creates a tasting menu and it is exquisite. His Mexican French fusion is magical. Rich with traditional flavors from both cultures that marry so well with each other. The edible flowers in your dish are intentionally placed to be eaten with those flavors based on their own flavor profile. It is a very intimate dining atmosphere which is not kid friendly. This is an adult dinner destination for sure, and while there is not a "no child" policy, it is not conducive to kids... and for that we are grateful. If your familiar with the Vancouver area and dining scene in the Portland area, this restaurant is as good as Le Pigeon without the price tag, more innovative and interesting than Roots, whose food is very good, but lacks a changing menu and interest it had when we started going in 06'. Elements is a MUST if your a foodie. It is our "go to" when we want a "wined and dined" feeling. Chef Sosa is a master at his craft. The meal presented in this review was specific to Cinco De Mayo and the flavor was very authentic Mexican. Typically his food is a balance of French/ Mexican fusion. It was truly a treat to experience food from his family and culture for this event.
Outsanding Food & Service
We love this place in downtown Vancouver, USA. Chef Sosa can be counted on to deliver high quality dishes made from local ingredients. Staff is top notch too & you will be well cared for whether by Mary, Kori or Marko. Outstanding food & service ... what more could you ask for. Open for dinner Wednesday - Saturday & for a great brunch on Saturday & Sunday.
Another Great Experience
Although we have been to Elements a few times, we are never disappointed in the service or the food. We highly recommend this fine restaurant on Main Street in downtown Vancouver.
True Culinary Delight
Recently moved to Vancouver from the food mecca of Portland just across the Columbia River and were truly delighted to find Elements Restaurant last night in downtown. Party of 4, relatively pricey, but a place we will definitely eat again. Appetizers of note, the grilled octopus and dungeness crab fondue, both amazing. You will want extra baguette toasts to eat EVERY last morsel. Both the pork chop and filet were creatively served, with complementary flavors across the board. Desser of creme brulee and banana creme pies were a fantastic ending with our port wine. Service was friendly and efficient.
