The ambience of this place is soooo cool! I love the old Hollywood feel to it. It's perfect for a girls night out or a dinner with friends or a date. The bar area is nice too to sit for a drink. The food was pretty good. I really loved the fries I've been dreaming about that since I got it. I enjoyed Rick's pizza and the cauliflower. I didn't care too much for ozzy's pizza but my friends loved it. The cake was bomb. The service was standard. Would totally come back!

Drake's is a perfect place for a date night, or your day 1's. Dishes were delicious, with a fun group of staff that keeps the energy contagious from the valet to the bar back employees that keeps the energy and vibes positive.

Finally, I had a chance to visit drake's Hollywood due to the hype from my co-worker. I gotta say I was a little disappointed in the food. First I gotta talked about the gumbo crab cake in my opinion it was too salty. I had jumbo crab cake from a lot of places and never once I had a salty jumbo crab cake. Let me move on to the vin scully fries not a fan of it at all didn't meet my expectation. Moving on to the lobster mac & cheese as I always say if you can't make a good lobster Mac and cheese I'm scared to try anything else that is on the menu. It was over cooked and the tased wasn't great. Orange hill, maestro steakhouse and boa steakhouse have great lobster Mac and cheese. Let me give a shout out to peter he was great always made sure we was good and my drinks was on point.
OMG Drake's Hollywood was so good.
My Delmonico steak was cooked medium well and it was absolutely delicious. Juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. I did not even think about steak sauce because when a steak is right you do not need to add anything. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and honestly one of my fav bites of the night. But the real star was the crab claws. They were so big and juicy that we ended up ordering them three times. Like we thought one order would be enough to share and then we were like no we need more. I am seriously coming back just for those crab claws. The drinks were interesting. The Mexican was way too strong for me. It was basically tequila and lime and it had me making faces with every sip. My second drink was the Lemon Fizz and that was absolutely perfect. Light, refreshing, and just right. I ended up ordering two of those. We finished with the strawberry 24 layer cake and OMG it was huge. Sweet, creamy, and so good. Two of us could not even finish it but it was still one of the best desserts I have had in a while. Overall this dinner was amazing. Drake's Hollywood is definitely going to be one of my go to spots in LA and I will be back soon.
Overpriced mediocrity.
The setting and ambiance were really nice, super intimate setting. Our server was kind, did his best. The crab rangoon, spicy tuna crispy rice and wedge salad were delish, and the martini was a hit too! However, our rib eye steak was overcooked, and the lobster pasta was cold and had an odd taste, like it was cooked in a pan that wasn't properly cleaned. We also ordered the strawberry cake for dessert that tasted a few days old, and was very dense.Overall, with so many other dining options in LA, Drakes would not be a repeat option for me.

I had the best birthday celebration here. Rex is such a lovely person and she was an awesome waiter. The entire experience was exactly how it always is when I've been to other locations. As always the pasta zaza is soooo delicious very creamy & my favorite dish of theirs. I got to try the spicy tuna crispy rice and that was delicious! Everything we ordered was perfect and I always get the espresso martini! The restaurant itself is so cute i just love the speak easy vibes.

Everyone came at different times. They handled us all perfectly with patience, time, and the urgency to feed us quickly. Particularly Brittany, and Nick were professional yet caring. I will definitely go back. Also the drinks, and food were delicious.

The food was horrible we paid $250 for 2 ppl and the portions were so small and undercooked … my boyfriend usually gets full from a steakhouse and he said he felt like he was still hungry

The atmosphere is outstanding however, for the prices, the service should be more upscale. Our server was Terry. It seemed that all she cared about was upselling us on the $200 steak. We ordered a Gold Rush drink. Figured, if it was on the menu, it was excellent... they are very hard to make. It was awful. We sent it back and she still charged us for it. The bill for 4 people came out to $700. Definitely not worth it.

Came in last minute with my party and enjoyed the crab appetizer with 2 different pizzas. The drinks here were made well and the service was good. Only thing I would suggest is brighten up the lighting in there. It was to hard to see the menu

The restaurant was completely empty with only a handful of people. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated and that was us constantly peaking our heads inside to see what the holdup was. We asked if they were closing and the waiter/host or whoever it was let us know "we might be closing early as we're slow" ??? Ummm ok??? You still have 1.5 hours left till close. Anyways we got seated, the ambiance is okay...it's not fancy or anything at all, someone took a coloring book all over the walls. Before that the food was extremely salty, our server was MIA the whole time to the point where I had to get up to grab my drink that was sitting at the bar for 10 mint all bc my waiter was Mia. We were charged for a group of 2 a 20% gratitude fee that was already on the check w/o letting us know. I confronted her, she let me know that it was optional and that she'd remove it. I gave her my card and later on saw that I was charged for the 20%. It was never removed. Awful customer service, food 3/10, ambiance 3/10. Won't be returning.

Cute place, loud enough for the other tables to not hear you, but you can hear the people you're with. It's an old Hollywood vibe. Food is delicious! Portions were big for a fancy restaurant. The strawberry cake was better than I imagined! Drinks were pretty strong. All good things!

. to the server, they're all snotty yet honey, we're here for a special occasion. There are 1000+ locations in LA, we picked cause we wanted to support but this place just f*ckin sucks. We took picture of front of drakes and the valet stared.. Lol the hostess seems annoyed. The server tried but didn't followed through. Food was great but would not come back.

We were a party of 6 celebrating 2 birthdays on 3/14/24. We were charged $30.00 for sparkling water we did not order. We were charged for lobster mac & cheese (which we did not order and did not receive) we were served the plain Mac & Cheese. The server brought out 2 slices of cake (again not ordered) and we were charged $41.00 for TWO SLICES OF CAKE!!! As our meal was winding down we were told we needed to "hurry" becuase there was another reservation that needed to be seated. We were well within our 1 hour and 45 minute time frame. The food was okay at best, definitely NOT worth the almost $700.00 price tag...

Food quality and recipes have changed since opening, specifically the fried rice and rangoons. The first time you could actually see crab and truffle, but the last experience was underwhelming. Service was great.

went for my best friends birthday, and the food was SUPER yummy! -we got the Ozzy's pizza, it was so so good, the dressing and steak on it are perfection -the pasta za za was a little spicy for me but for everyone else it was amazing - we also got two sides the cauliflower dynamic and chili garlic broccoli, the broccoli was a bit plain, more garlicky then spicy and the cauliflower yummy too but a bit heavy service was super nice, our waiter was really funny ambiance is cool too, it's super dark. the crowd was definitely interesting, not what i expected. i didn't like the leather tables tho, it was kinda sticky

.. Food quality couldn't get worse! I prefer a frozen pizza over this! What a shame for a restaurant looking so good to have a menu and chef of such low quality! Drinks are ok but to wait 45mins to sit at the bar or get a table and have that food! Never again! Sorry

First experience on a Thursday Feb 15 th.
Walked in to be seated at bar very fashionably dress. A few older ladies. And a few other people. I got a menu after 5 minutes and waited 20 minutes and still no service. It seems this bar serves the main restaurant as there were very few people at the bar. I waited 20 minutes am still no service and left . I told the host "I thought I would try this place tonight based on local recommendations . But no service. She said I'm sorry I'll pass on the message. If she was smart she would have walked me back in and asked for the server to help me. She didn't and that's the problem in the service and restaurants will fail. I went to Ciccones across the street and was treated with dignity and respect, Signed a handsome 67 year old white make . Done ! Umm usually go to Blvd Steak in Sherman Oaks and I will continue. Tourist expect bad service but not us locals.
Fashionable Speakeasy
Had a fabulous New Year’s Eve early dinner. The exterior front entrance made a great setting for photos. The interior was bathed in rich red in all textures. Perfectly made drinks at the bar were served by expert bartenders. The dinner was delicious and half circle booths made for great people watching. The men wore jackets and the ladies spotted their finest. The cotton candy in the giant champagne glass was opulent and our strawberry cake was served with a giant fountain sparkler! Fun for special occasions. Definitely worth it for the 4 of us.
Cognitive Dissonance
Drakes has a strict dress code of cocktail attire and goes out of its way to remind patrons through multiple text etc... and yet jeans and tennis shoes abound!!! The menu is limited and features pizza and wagyu steak by the ounce... really?? Disco music blaring so loud you cannot talk is not exactly an elevated dining experience. To be clear , I love disco music but it just doesnt go with the resturant at all. All in all, the food is just ok and there are so many great resturants in Dallas ... go to Georgie, Table 13 or St Martins for great food and ambiance.

Kudos to Drake’s for having a dress code that is actually enforced. I recall treating an old friend and his wife to a wonderful dinner celebrating their 50th at a classy Dallas steak house, only to have a quartet of slobs seated next to us dressed in shorts and T—shirts. When I later complained to management via email, the response was basically they don’t turn away business. Well, they turned away mine - I haven’t been back since. I’m glad Drake’s has an expectation of their guests, just like their guests have an expectation of them. Since this was our first time at Drake’s, I was initially put off by some of the uber-negative comments here on Trip Advisor. Something tells me whoever wrote that drivel isn’t telling the full story. We found Drake’s to be a fantastic experience. The whole ambiance was cool, and the characters on the wall murals reminded me of the Palm when Al Biernait was manager. I didn’t feel the prices were overly high. Sure, $30 for a piece of cake is expensive, but it’s a 24-layer cake, not something that is cheap to make…and it’s big enough to share. Everything seemed to be in line with the level of quality provided, and the service was top shelf. All in all, a great evening for my birthday, and we WILL be going again. I might Eve wear a tie next time!

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Drake's Hollywood at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Drake's Hollywood page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Drake's Hollywood to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Drake's Hollywood!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
