Ding Taifeng Reviews from The Last Year
Mandatory lunch as a tourist
We waited 1 hour to be seated as it was on a weekend. As a first-timer in Taiwan we just had to try and see the difference in taste and quality, but we were pleasantly surprised as everything we ordered tastes exactly as what they serve in Dubai, except they have pork options.
Friendly Nice service
Very nice friendly staff, always smiling and always pack with people. Still the same taste after a year going there. Nice service.
Food was great!
The food was great and delicious. Service was good but somehow, as it was quite busy (as it was a public holiday in Taiwan), would take time to ask someone for help. Tricky, you should have to arrive earlier, at least 30 minutes before the store opens to get the ticket; otherwise you might have to wait more than an hour!

Still unbelievably delicious!!! I have never been a fan of noodles, but these fried noodles have stolen my taste buds. The pork chops also need a profound shout-out. The ginger the chile oil, the black vinegar, all of these flavors burst in your mouth. The reservations are not too easy to get, so it's either an early dinner or a late one. This is a must try, especially if you're a fan of wonton and dumplings. ENJOY

Great food, great service.

Delicious & Great Service overall! The waitresses gave a warm welcome as we entered and left the restaurant. They also were nice enough to explain the menu as it was my family's first time to eat here. My fave dishes were the sesame noodles, pork xioa long bao and the shrimp & pork shaio mai. Their black tea with salted cheese is a must to try! We were a party of 8 & we all enjoyed the food.
The food was delicious.
The service was excellent especially having two toddlers with us, food came out faster than our wait time. I will definitely be going again. New fav spot!
I got an extensive to go order.
When I got home and unpacked it, it looked awful. The dumpling were all stuck together and leathery, the soup had spilled all over the bag, and the food was absolutely not fresh and all of it was ICE COLD. I wouldn't feed this crap to my dog. Anywhere else is better for take out than this place. Update: I did all the emailing and follow up as per the response from the owner but they still didn't care! I even sent photos. Your response pisses me off even more. AVOID THIS PLACE FOR TAKEOUT!

I only usually review places that get 5 stars- this is one of them. I love Din Tai Fung. The hot and sour soup, green beans, and the pork bao- all delicious. Even better are the chocolate baos- think brownie warm filling- still thinking about these months later. Service is great and waiters are always willing to explain the menu. The restaurant is loud but overall the ambiance is nice.

Din Tai Fung lives up to the hype! The food, service, and cleanliness blew me away! I ordered the Milk Tea, Sweet & Sour Pork Baby Back Ribs, Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao, Noodles with Sesame Sauce, and Braised Beef Noodle Soup. All of the dishes were wonderful but my husband and I enjoyed the baby back ribs and noodle dishes the best! Milk Tea - cool, refreshing, and sweet enough on its own. No need for the Honey Milk Tea. Sweet & Sour Pork Baby Back Ribs - great as an appetizer and the meat was falling off the bone! There was plenty of sauce too! Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao - the skin was thin, the broth was flavorful, but the pork was a bit bland. It was average and I would probably try the Crab & Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao next time. Noodles with Sesame Sauce - interesting as the sauce was served warm with a little kick of spice. I appreciated how they cut the noodles in half so it's easy to share and to mix in the sauce. Braised Beef Noodle Soup - the broth was the best part! The beef was tender and the portion was big enough to share. Perfect for a cold rainy day or if you're feeling a little under the weather. P.S. Make a reservation as it is very popular for the area!

This was definitely a fun experience! I've had so many friends tell me that I had to try this place out. We got a variety of different food so that we could try it all! (Definitely was a very smart move when you come here). Everything was delicious, I honestly just wanted more of everything! The service was amazing! Everyone who works there is so nice and friendly. Our server was great, he answered all of our questions and told us his favorite items he likes to get here. He checked up on us frequently which was nice! The ambiance is really fun and lively! Everyone there is very welcoming! I do recommend making a reservation because the wait can be a long time! The plus thing about it is if you do have to wait long you can browse the mall till it's time.
The best Xiao Long Bao
The best Xiao Long Bao I ever had is at Din Tai Fung. The quality is very consistent and always good. Service is always good but could be a bit slow depending on how busy it is at the time. Highly recommend this restaurant chain and this location. While waiting for my table, I could always do my shopping which is plenty to choose from.
Go there and go back......
The dumblings are always wonderful, the starters too with the little cucumbers and eggplants, the big buns etc... Everything is clean and prepared in front of you. The 101 din tan is the best in Taipei
Excellence no matter the location
I have already visited their location in Singapore and was looking forward to eating there. I was not disappointed. The dumplings were excellent and the side dishes were great as well. The service was outstanding and the food arrived quickly. They were using robots to deliver the food. It was fun watching the robots run around. The only negative was the Hot & Sour soup. It was terrible. Canned soup would have tasted better.

My husband and I had heard fantastic reviews about this
My husband and I had heard fantastic reviews about this restaurant, prompting us to finally give it a try. We started off with the spicy wonton vegan dumplings and ordered chicken fried rice and spicy vegan noodles for our mains. Eager to sample some authentic tea, we also opted for jasmine flavored tea. To our delight, the teapot was impressively large and lasted throughout our meal. The wonton dumplings arrived promptly, served with impeccable presentation and accompanied by a delectable special sauce that we couldn't resist dipping into with our soup spoons. Following closely were the chicken fried rice and vegan noodles. Both dishes were visually appealing and had us eager to start eating. My husband was particularly fond of the chicken fried rice, which was packed with flavor. He even added some special sauce and chili oil to tailor it to his taste. As for my dish, the spicy noodles were generously smothered in the special sauce and sprinkled with garlic and green onions, which enhanced the flavors beautifully. Although the noodles were incredibly satisfying, I found myself wishing for a slightly larger portion. We were celebrating our anniversary, and although the service was efficient and polite, it lacked any special recognition of our special occasion. If you're looking for a restaurant that acknowledges celebrations, this might not be the ideal place. However, if your focus is purely on enjoying excellent food, this place is undoubtedly a fantastic choice. The quality and taste of the food here are nothing short of awesome!
Make a reservation! This place is always busy so plan ahead.
The food comes out in stages so it's hot, brilliant idea. The servers are very attentive and constantly coming by to clean off the table despite the fact that the restaurant is always packed. It's clean and comfortable. I highly recommend dining here.

8/10 amazing service and loved how it can all be split with whoever your going with all for under 100$. We got a few popular entrees, some better than others. Ambiance was great and welcoming especially if it's your first time! I love how they show the workers making the food fresh.

Excellent service! Every employee offered recommendations and suggestions. Food was yummy, fresh, and well crafted. While walking in for the first time I felt like I was being led down an endless hall of tables, however the overall ambience was good. This place is family friendly and clearly loved by the community! My too favorites were the spicy wontons and chocolate buns
Every one of these restaurants has GREAT service.
The food is consistent, tasty, lots of dumplings to choose from, all good. I always get the cucumbers, sautéed cabbage - love it, fried rice - it's good here and a ton of dumplings: xlb, spicy pork, gyoza, and end with the taro dumplings for dessert.

My first impression was scared that I walked into a Cheesecake Factory situation (no hate to them)...but that thought was quickly taken out of my head as I witnessed an extremely well oiled machine of a restaurant. They check off all the boxes...organized wait staff, which is impressive, considering how packed this place was. Menu was very comprehensive. Food didn't take long to come out, AND was tasty. I recommend to try as much as you can. Come with a group and share. The dumplings, the noodles, even the dessert...all amazing!

Din Tai Fung was a fun experience! The waitstaff was extremely friendly and welcoming and that made the experience even better. The restaurant was very clean and the process was super organized. The food itself was okay, some really good things like the crispy green beans or spicy wontons and the chocolate mochi dumplings for dessert. Other things kind of lacked flavor and I was a bit disappointed for the amount of hype it gets. I think I would call Din Tai Fung the Cheesecake Factory of dumplings
Not Worth the Long Wait!
Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant chain most famous for its xiaolongbao (steamed pork dumplings). Although the 101 branch officially opens at 11am, the wait for a table at 10:45am is approximately 1 hour! Customers can pre-order their food online while waiting in the mall area. Servers are accommodating. Food is delivered by a meal-bot, which is very efficient. However, the poor quality definitely is not worth waiting for. Signature dishes are not impressive at all! The skin of the various xiaolongbaos is very thick and a tad bit dry. Noodles are lukewarm. The smooth and flavourful House Special Spicy Vegetable and Ground Pork Wontons (NT 180) is the only recommendable dish.
It's a loooong wait
We arrived at 5 pm to queue for a dinner table. Apparently we weren't early enough and we waited nearly 2 hours. Food ranged from ok to good. Not outstanding. We were ravenous so we were able to order a great variety of dishes. Must order dishes include siu long bao and beef noodles. Being a very busy restaurant, expect lots of noise and movement around you. After the long wait, our mobile phones were out of juice. We brought a charger but the restaurant refused to charge for us because there's an adapter attached to the non-Taiwanese plug. And no charging if you didn't bring your own charger. We are tourists so.... no recharging phones and no Google maps after that.
Fun culinary experience
Din Tai Fung remains a go-to for their famed xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Bird's Nest Fern Stir Fry This unique dish was a revelation. The fern fronds had a surprisingly satisfyingly crisp texture, perfectly complementing the savory stir-fry sauce. If you're adventurous and enjoy exploring new flavors, this is a must-try!
Great Quick Bite
Stopped here for a quick snack after visiting the observation deck above. Located on lower level, our guide recommended and it didn’t disappoint. They have a display that shows wait time for seating, which can be quite long. To left there is takeout counter with a separate wait time (perhaps a little hard to see) and menus in English. There is a food court adjacent where you can then sit down.
A fan
As usual, as expected good. The restaurant was clean, neat. Friendly staff and service. I like din tai fung,😅😅❤️🥳💯🎊
Excellent food at Taipei 101
Excellent food in this restaurant. Don’t take reservations; make sure you budget for an hour between giving your name and getting a seat. Fortunately the shopping mall provides a lot of entertainment while you wait. The food is for sharing and all very good. Have the chocolate dessert! The service is excellent. Highly recommend.
