Club del Doge Venezia Reviews
Amazing
Lived up to expectations! Breathtaking view on the terrace in the Grand canal. Expensive as expected. Impeccably charming service. You must try their signature dish, Hemmingway risotto.
Excellent dinner and phenomenal service.
Try to get a table on the patio to enjoy the views of the canal. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine and cocktails was about $500 USD, so be prepared, but for a unique experience, we had a great time.
A good option al noon or on a summer night
We visited this restaurant with a prior reservation and we had a table on the deck, next to the Grand Canal, with an excellent view. The dishes are very good and well presented, although they are not unforgettable. The attention is very good and friendly
Chocolate mousse to die for
I had a 2:30 pm reservation for lunch. I arrived late and the kitchen was closed, but the bar menu was still available. I was very happy that I could still enjoy the beautiful dining room. Enrico was kind and attentive, and after lunch, he suggested the chocolate mousse and I was so happy. I had a shakarato with it. It was the best chocolate mousse I ever had. I loved the flowers, the Great Dessert, the respectful and kind staff. I look forward to my next visit.
Nice team
Good restaurant for both dinner and lunch. Highly qualified professional and very friendly staff. Stunning terrace right on the canal, which is great in good weather. Four of us with three courses had dinner in an hour and a half, which is super fast and can be relevant for those with children. From minuses - in my opinion not very wide menu and in one trip maximum two visits. But in general I recommend it. All the best, Vladimir
An opulent experience!
We arrived to Gritti Palace for a late lunch. We did not have a reservation, but being midweek and the week before Xmas, there were able to seat us right away. It is winter and therefore the outside patio on the canal was closed, but the inside dining room is opulent and over the top beautiful. Service from the moment we arrived was 5 star. Very polite and super attentive. Our server chatted us up about our trip and made great recommendations on the menu. If you are looking for an outstanding experience of eating in a palace, this is your place. As I mention the patio was closed due to weather, but after lunch, they let us hang out there to take photos on the canal. Our photos included the hotel we were staying at (Centurion Palace) in the background, as it is located directly across the canal.
If only we could dine like this every day!
First rate dinner, which of course you would expect in such a spot, and of course it is an expensive meal, but honestly not as much as I was expecting. Of course the decor is sumptuous and the service is professional at all levels but also rather friendly, which was nice. And though the wine list had some very expensive bottles there were plenty of good choices at reasonable prices. The pace of the meal was just right, and we did not feel hungry of stuffed when we were done. Very balanced. We also had a drink at their bar afterwards which was also very enjoyable.
Constructive Criticism: We have none.
I wouldn't change a thing about this restaurant. Quality of Food, service, ambiance, presentation, etc was impeccable. Some restaurants in Venice on the Grand Canal are not the best food and they rely on location to draw customers in but this restaurant at the Grand Canal entrance doesn't cut any corners! Amazing!
Amazing time here, excellent service, 5 star to be exact.
This dinner was very romantic with my wife. Amazing wine list and if you need help they have someone to help. The food was amazing. Overall great spot!
Dining experience with stunning view of Santa Maria della Salute and grand canal.
The restaurant is part of The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, where offers luxury indoor dining and stunning outdoor terrace seatings with Santa Maria della Salute, grand canal as background! Booking is definitely required and you can enjoy tasty Italian pasta, fish or seafood together with your Instagram stories.
I would have given 5 stars if not for a couple of issues.
We were seated in a different table then we requested and once explaining this to the Maitre d he replied that he had seen that request on our reservation but just left it at that. We had to ask 3 times to be moved to the requested table, they finally moved us knowing we weren't giving up.The food was very good specifically the Sea Bass, we also ordered 3 Souffle's at the beginning of dinner so they had time to made then at the end of dinner they brought 1 tiny Souffle no mention why only one. Then we waited a good 40 minutes waiting for the bill after telling our waiter we had a Ball to attend since it was Carnival and he just keep avoiding the table. This is pretty common in Europe regarding a check but it was excessively long for a small restaurant knowing we were on a time crunch. our dinner took 3 1/2 so just make sure you a lot enough time if you have plans after dinner.
Connect with users posting reservations for Club del Doge Venezia
AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Club del Doge Venezia. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Club del Doge Venezia at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Club del Doge Venezia page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Club del Doge Venezia to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Club del Doge Venezia!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
