Great place! It was a 30min wait for a party of 2 with no reservation. Time goes by quick with a refreshing gift shop next door and a separate waiting area. The view was wonderful, lots of greenery and just welcoming vibes, the host was hilarious. The food was affordable and had a great taste, they have mint cucumber lemonade, one of my favorites. Overall, great experience for brunch/lunch. top 10 brunch spots.

We wanted to try something different so my husband and I went on a breakfast date here. My husband had the lobster Benedict and I had the avocado toast, which were both really good.

The scenery is beautiful and there's a lot of seating areas to eat and enjoy the view. However, we were sat in an area where there was the least amount of scenery compared to the other areas. The food was bland. I order the lobster Benedict and the only thing i enjoyed from it was the egg. The English muffin was stale and the potatoes were undercooked. The Mint Cucumber lemonade was refreshing.

We finally got to try this spot and we were not disappointed! It is worth making a reservation to avoid a wait and I sure to get a garden view on the patio! We had the chicken pesto sandwich and the short ribs which both were tasty I would recommend substituting the mash potatoes with eggs with the short ribs!

Oh my.
Mid at best. You'd think a place that requires reservation and has valet would be at a certain standard. Think again. Food was edible. Nothing to call home about. Our reservation was at 11:30a and they were out of 8 menu items already. And the service was okay. Not exceptional. Not horrible. Just like the food. The chocolate cake, however? 10/10. That's it though. Go to one of the other restaurants in the area for better food!

Beautiful scenery and the food portions were very generous.
There's valet parking but you can also just park on the side of the mountain on the other side of the main road.

If you want the most relaxing lunch ever, this is the place to go. The entire restaurant feels like it's part of the surrounding nature. It's stunning. The food was incredible as well. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

You're paying for the Ambience and view. First you need to park your car or valet and still pay $7. You can also park across the road. Very packed. One of the best spot for breakfast to dinner. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. I posted the menu and current price as of June 2024. Service is great and fast. Not a daily breakfast place but maybe couple of times a year visit. Food is just your average American choices but decent. Just couple of minutes from Ventura blvd going to the beach on the 27 Topanga freeway. Im not be a fun of expensive food but this one hots the spot for the ambience and service. Not too bad wait times. I recommend this spot.

i've been to this place before and wanted to come back because of the overall good first experience, however, this time i'm sad to say i was pretty disappointed. we went on 6/23/2024 reservation @ 2:15pm, and this day was particularly very hot, which i expected given that i checked the weather forecast. we got to the table and upon seeing our water pitcher with no ice, i figured i'd just ask for cups of ice, no big deal. when we ordered our drinks and food, i ordered an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk and my bf ordered a chai tea latte with oatmilk, i even clarified with him while our server was taking our order if it was iced or hot, and he said iced. we also order cups of ice for our waters and the waiter confirms. our drinks come, and his chai is iced and mine comes hot, ok no biggie i just tell the drink runner that i ordered it iced and kindly takes it back. our server brings out my iced latte and to my disappointment it was unflavored, again no big deal, its fine. i understand it was busy and things get forgotten. our food comes, and our cups of ice never make it to the table. our water pitcher is basically empty and i had to ask the server t for another one with ice. he brings it out, barely any cubes in there, probably like 7 small cubes that my bf and i split, however, when the couple next to us ask for ice water, their pitcher was a quarter of the way filled with ice so i'm genuinely confused why we seem to be getting different treatment. my drink, the ice cups, the ice water, it's all so odd. i try not to complain, but i would've thought that our service would've been better especially given it was a hotter day. and our server never seemed to even check on if we're doing ok. yes the ambiance is beautiful but still pretty disappointed and not sure if i want to come back again.
This cafe is so cute and tucked away in the Topanga Canyon.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the views but they were gorgeous. I came here for my birthday brunch and it was so yummy. I highly recommend the chicken pesto sandwich! Parking is difficult (either have to do valet or hope you find a spot off of the main street), so factor that in when you go!

Beautiful natural scenery.
Calm and tranquil. Arrived at 9am for breakfast, after waiting 15 minutes for our waitress/server she tells us that they ran out of steak, pastrami and tuna. Coffee and OJ were very good.. Food was ok.

Good but no valet for us
Good spot for lunch but not as exceptional as some people pretend. Good brunch items and some nice coffee options. Servers where friendly. Just dont get the valet parking for 12$ near a big road… we did selfpark after they told us the rate for valet parking

Food was great, every penny is worth it. Staff are friendly and accomodating. We only wish that there were enough umbrellas in each table because the table we’re assigned to, my wife was under direct sunlight. So, we have to move her chair which a bit uncomfy since there was no enough space. And another guest was seated at the bar/high chair. It would be nice if they will also extend hours until 6 or 7pm since it’ll be suited having a little view/glimpse of natire while enjoying a glass of wine 😊
Don’t bother going off the beaten path.
Not a place to go in the rain. We had an inside table but were rushed out because they wanted the table because they couldn’t seat outside. The lobster and tuna melt were very good but the salmon was overcooked. Don’t order dessert. The walnut cake was dry and the ice cream was inedible. Apparently Turkish ice cream which bears no resemblance to any other ice cream I’ve had anywhere in the US or Europe! When we asked for the bill the server or owner came to the table and told us the tab—no itemized bill-and took out credit card. I’m sure she didn’t remove the ice cream from our bill. And they charge $7 to park!! I was not impressed or charmed but again, it was pouring rain. We should have left and gone into Malibu or Calabassas. Oh…no alcoholic beverages!!

Having wanted to come here for a while i live in the uk it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious probably the best pizza i have ever had. Friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing views and a great scenic ride to get there .
Hidden Gem in Topanga Canyon
Cafe 27 Topanga Canyon - wasn’t sure what to expect but once we walked in past the hostess stand and to the table - we saw how adorable and enchanting this place is! Terraced along the canyon there are several seating areas that over look the beautiful canyon. Food was nice and fresh. I had a salad with grilled chicken. Staff was very friendly and efficient, food was served quickly. Parking lot was crowded but they offer valet which is very convenient. I totally recommend for a nice afternoon out in Topanga!
Fun place to try!
This place is so cute! Don’t be afraid by all the cars parked, it looked so crowded when we went but we were still seated in 20 min. I took off one star for the latte that I ordered. It was $8 and basically a cup of milk with some roughly ground spices. Almost white, not sure if they forgot the coffee? The server was excellent and allowed me to reorder and also removed it from my bill. Service was excellent and food was fast!

Excellent food quality and service. We had made a reservation but we were surprised with the speed which we were served with. The person who took the order was very kind and ready to explain every question about the menu oprions. In addition the location has beatiful views and is very fresh. Everybody in our family enjoyed the restaurant. Top recommendation for Cafe 27.
A rare find in Topanga Canyon
We went to this cafe for lunch after an amazing hike to the Santa Ynez waterfalls. We were hungry and loved the place and the food. Service was really friendly and respectful. The food was lovely, great and original recipes with great classics. We tried the chef's special recipes (omelett and rice waffle Benedict eggs) and it was YUMMY! I highly recommend it, it's so lovely to be in nature and it's quiet and peaceful. It's worth booking in advance because I'm guessing it can get busy, especially at the WE, as they're arent many restaurants around in this area.

After our morning hike in Topanga, we decided to grab brunch at Cafe on 27, attracted by its stunning outdoor atmosphere, surrounded by nature. We opted to share the Daddy's Combo, which consisted of three organic eggs (omelette style) & cheese wrapped around a sausage, served with a side of patatas bravas topped with assorted peppers and spiced tomato sauce. We also ordered the zizulini pasta, a creamy Alfredo sauce pasta dish with zucchini, fresh herbs, and topped with macadamia nuts. While both dishes were tasty, the pasta was a tad salty for our liking.Valet parking is available for $7, or you can try to find limited free parking on the side of the road. Overall, Cafe on 27 is a great spot for a nature-filled brunch experience.
Love the location and the decor.
It's a nature experience , good vibes from the trees and the green on the surrounding. Been her many times, the only bad side is the service, it's going slow to slower every time I go. Weekend are not recommended, you can wait over on hour for your food and over 20 minutes just to order it. On the week days it's a little better but still not a place to go if you are in the rush. You need at least an hour to eat here.But food is delicious and ambience is amazing so worth the wait!
Gorgeous place! The wait was quite long but understandable.
The view was amazing and the staff were very funny. The guy at the counter made jokes and was down to earth the entire time I was waiting.We weren't here for the food but for the views. Nothing too special but that was to be expected. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Would come back and try other options next time.

.. you've found it! My girlfriend and I had a terrific lunch overlooking the canyon. We ordered a couple cappuccinos and a Tuna Salad sandwich with a side of fresh fruit. 10/10! - Matt and Emma

The five of us drove out from Orange County to try this popular eatery! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time, but we were seated promptly, thankfully. The staff was incredibly friendly, and helpful. Despite the lively weekend crowd, our service was seamless throughout and our food arrived promptly.We feasted on an assortment of dishes that made my taste buds jazz in delight. From the phantastic Mimi's pancakes, fluffy and adorned with amaretto whipped butter and hints of lemon zest, to the creamy clam chowder, every bite was a flavor explosion. The baklava was bite-sized sugariness gold that paired perfectly with the mint tea. Each dish was scrumptious and bursting with flavors. The presentation of the fancy egg dish with potatoes, a baguette, and ground beef patties was nice, arriving covered by a blue ceramic plate on top. The runniness of the sunny side egg yolk mixing with all the other flavorful ingredients was a 10/10. The infusion of Turkish flavors throughout each dish was well-balanced, making for a pleasant dining experience amidst the stunning canyon setting.Parking would have been a challenge if not for the valet service, but the restaurant's attention to detail extended to that aspect as well. In short, I cannot think of a single reason not to check out this eatery. Oh, and I have to mention the yellow mini BMW parked inside the restaurant - it's such a cool touch!

Checked out this spot on a Saturday morning for breakfast and coffee. The food and the views of the mountains were amazing! Although reservations are suggested, the wait time was less than 30 min. There is enough parking down the canyon or you can pull up at the valet which is only $6 bucks. Very chill place, the staff was very attentive!

Accidental stop in heaven
We came across this cafe by accident while exploring Topenga Canyon. Truly the scenery was indescribable and the owner and his crew (assuming they were family) were some of the nicest people ever. Almost didn’t seem real! ONLY complaint - no wine - no alcohol, but lots of homemade drinks, teas, and coffee roasted on the premises- bring your camera.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Cafe on 27 Topanga to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Cafe on 27 Topanga!
