We came for a 6:15 PM Saturday reservation -- me, my boyfriend, and his best friend -- and while the view was spectacular, the food and service didn't match the setting. Our server, Michelle, spent more time telling my boyfriend what not to order than guiding him, even dismissing the "crispy skin duck breast" as never crispy, which felt unprofessional. After we ordered, she rarely returned to check on us. My boyfriend's medium-well steak arrived undercooked, closer to medium-rare with raw parts, and the side sauce came refrigerator-cold. Even our wine was wrong at first, though Michelle later apologized. For a dinner that cost nearly $800 for three, we expected better attention to detail and service. Not everything disappointed -- the sautéed mushrooms and potatoes were excellent, and the sea scallops were perfectly cooked with balanced flavor. Clearly, the kitchen has potential, but the inconsistency shows. Overall: come for the cocktails, sushi, oysters, and the unbeatable view. Skip dinner -- the food and service don't justify the price.

First time here for a friends birthday celebration and my goodness, what amazing service, views and food! Top tier from start to finish, Natalie took care of us and Ahmad as well. They were excellent and we definitely enjoyed their service plus personalities matched our party which we loved! I decided to try their Petal & Plume drink to start off the night, it genuinely was great combination of the hibiscus flavor with the tequila. They 100% put a good amount of alcohol because every sip HIT! 9/10 on the taste and alcohol feel. As for our meals, my girl and I went for the Pacific Caesar Salad & the Omakase Nigiri... hands down, BEST Caesar salad I have ever had, so good I forgot to take a picture! The dressing and salmon were perfectly paired and not overbearing in the fish taste whatsoever. I would 100% order that again. The Omakase was a straight 10/10, every piece had a wonderful taste and not just a straight fish taste. One of my favorite pieces had to have been the seared tuna nigiri & the scallop nigiri but quite honestly I destroyed the whole set. No need for soy sauce or anything, that's how impactful the flavors to each piece were. Overall, beautiful service, beautiful company, immaculate views and marvelous food. Thank you for an amazing experience, leaving back to Cali a happy camper!

I was super excited to come here for the first time on a date and was totally blown away by how incredible the experience was. I started with the Cloud Nine and it arrived at our table smoking, it was honestly so much fun to stick my face in the cloud, like putting your head in the fridge. I loved how refreshing it tasted and the blueberry added a tart twist. For dinner I ordered the Dungeness Crab Mac n Cheese and found it satisfyingly flavourful. The cheese was perfectly creamy and the veggies added a fresh bite. As a whole the dish was artfully put together and I adored the presentation. My date ordered the Angus Prime Filet Mignon and I'm not normally a steak person, but the few bites I had of his dinner were phenomenal. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection. I was so impressed that they were able to get so much flavour through the entire cut. The presentation of the bread looked so good, and I loved the nori crackers they had. I just wish I'd had a chance to try more of the bread, I was so busy talking to my date, I only got to try a few bites and our server cleared it from the table when our mains came so I was sad I didn't get a chance to sample everything. For dessert we shared a small magic mushroom and it came to the table looking so cute and whimsical I almost didn't want to eat it. I love how it resembled a little terrarium and the chocolate was so delectably rich. The little marshmallow mushroom was also so yummy. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the whole night. He ensured we also got sunset pictures and didn't make us feel rushed at all. The view obviously was the best part of the restaurant. It was so awe-inspiring to get to see Bellevue and Seattle come to life as the sun was setting. I was also so grateful for how accommodating the restaurant was even when we made our reservation. I don't like booth seating and my date was able to specifically request that we were't seated at a booth. I also have several food intolerances and our server was very knowledgable of the menu and able to help me pick the perfect dish!!

HIGH-RISE CULINARY EXPERIENCE $$$$ You will be wined and dined high above Bellevue with fantastic views of Lake Washington. The service is very personal and makes you feel special. The restaurant itself has a large dining area with huge glass windows and views from the 31st floor!Besides the ample dining area, there are two observation decks, a full bar and a sushi bar as well. The food is expensive but worth it. For apps we had bread service and tuna tartare. Both with amazing presentations that made our mouths water. For entrees I had a prime dry aged steak cooked medium rare. It was rich and delicious. My wife had the scallops and we ordered family style sides of puree potatoes, mushrooms and also a seared foie gras! Wow. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. My wife enjoyed her seared scallops which were also cooked perfectly. The sides were also delectable. It was my wife's birthday and they brought out an amazing presentation with bubbling dry ice on a glass platter with macarons and berries. This is a true five star restaurant experience. A place to bring your special someone for a special occasion. Might even be a good place for a proposal. You will not be disappointed but your wallet or purse will feel a little lighter! We had such an amazing experience at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The service was impeccable -- the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really well taken care of without ever being overbearing. The food was incredible. We started with the bone marrow and oysters, both of which were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. For the main dishes, everything was cooked to perfection, and to finish the night we shared a dessert that was just as memorable as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricier side, but honestly, it's worth it for a special occasion. Between the amazing flavors, the flawless service, and the overall atmosphere, it felt like such a treat. I'd highly recommend Ascend to anyone looking to celebrate and enjoy a truly memorable night out.

My friends and I went there for Happy Hour to celebrate a birthday. We had some drinks and shared done apps. We love the Bao with Wagyu Beef. The meat is do tender and juicy. The flavors with sauce and relish are well put together. The fries with the truffle aioli were awesome, as well. The fries were crispy, hot and anything with truffle oil is good, anyway. The hamachi rolls were delicious, as well. The flavor of the hamachi was fresh and distinct. The topping of thinly shredded sweet potato fries offers a contrasting texture, plus they taste good. The karaage were slightly underwhelming. They look like arancini balls. It's not bad, just ok. Drinks were good. We shared one dessert, the yuxu with passion fruit. It's artfully presented and it was delicious. The complimentary smoking dessert for the celebrant is a showstopper. The server was attentive and very polished and professional. They're dressed, with a chic and sexy vibe---catering to the bar crowd. The place is ginormous, on the 31st floor offering sweeping panoramic views of Bellevue, Lake Washington and beyond. It's a chic, upscale, bar scene. Price point is high, but it's really a place for executives from the companies in the area would probably take their clients or rich couples who want to splurge due to a special occasion. Parking is validated for 3 hours.

Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi is on the 31st floor of Lincoln Square is known for its fantastic view. There are 2 ways to come to this place, restaurant or happy hour at the bar. We ordered some apps and drinks, very tasty and dramatic plating. Overall , experience is great, food is okay to a certain extent. Birthday girl had a the Halo which was actually very good. Presentation was wow! She got a 'Smokey' dessert, once server drops the water the dry ice activates. Very instagram worthy! Overall, pricey place, a once in a lifetime experience. Really for special occasions. If you want to impress and have the money - go for it.

We have moved to Seattle 8 years from the Bay Area and fall in love with Ascend. The customer service was top notch by our server Shelby. She was professional, attentive and definitely knowledgeable in providing food and cocktail recommendations. Been in customer service industry for 23 years, Shelby has definitely represented Ascend mission statement and we will continue to share our "Shelby experience" with all our local and international friends.
Con-fusion in Bellevue.
We started with a signature smoky whiskey cocktail. While the presentation was dramatic, it felt a bit over-the-top for what was actually served. I’ve definitely had better versions of smoky cocktails elsewhere. Against my better judgment, I ordered a second drink. Since we were enjoying a lot of seafood, I thought something tropical might be a fun contrast. I asked for a recommendation, emphasizing that I wanted something light and not too sweet. The server suggested the KAMEHAMEHA—a mix of pineapple, vodka, limoncello, coconut, pineapple, vanilla, milk, and simple syrup. Unfortunately, this cocktail missed the mark completely. It was overly rich and sweet, lacking any element to cut through the heaviness—like lime juice, soda water, or even a splash of acidity. It was not refreshing and, honestly, undrinkable. I couldn’t finish it. Despite telling the server that I don’t enjoy sugary drinks, this was still the recommendation. In hindsight, a simple Ketel One with soda and lime would’ve been a far better choice. Moving on to the appetizers, we started with oysters, which were undoubtedly fresh and delicious. However, one had noticeable debris in it—something that shouldn’t happen at a restaurant aiming for a fine dining experience. Next, we tried the sushi tacos, sampling all three types of fish. Unfortunately, they fell flat. The flavors were muddled, the execution felt overcomplicated, and they lacked seasoning—just a pinch of salt could’ve gone a long way. I was especially frustrated with the structure: each taco included a full sheet of seaweed shaped to match the shell, making them difficult and awkward to eat. A different presentation could’ve been much more effective. In the words of Coco Chanel: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” These tacos could’ve used that same philosophy. The crispy duck was a pleasant surprise. I’m not typically a fan of duck, but the dish was well-prepared and flavorful. That said, it could have really benefitted from an acidic element to brighten things up, and again—a touch more salt would’ve elevated it. We also ordered the omakase as an additional appetizer. Of the seven different pieces, only the scallop stood out. The rest tasted exactly how you’d expect sushi to taste at a steakhouse—uninspired, not particularly fresh, and frankly, unappealing For our main course, we decided to enjoy a bottle of wine. The wine list was handed to the person who made our reservation—someone who openly admitted to the server that he wasn’t familiar with wine. Rather than taking a moment to guide us or offer a brief explanation, the server came across as dismissive and, frankly, unkind. That said, the wine he recommended ended up pairing beautifully with our meal, so credit where it’s due. We ordered a variety of mains: the New York strip, filet mignon, ribeye, porterhouse, and miso black cod. The New York strip was flavorful, and the cod had a lovely glaze, however there were bites that tasted like nothing and that to me SHOULD not happen in a place like Ascend. Every single bite should be an adventure. The filet and ribeye were just okay—nothing memorable. The standout, however, was the porterhouse: perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and truly the highlight of the night. As for the sides, the seasoned vegetables were underwhelming—fine, but not worth mentioning. The Dungeness crab mac & cheese was, in my opinion, an unfortunate case of “fusion gone too far.” The added edamame, bell pepper, and other ingredients completely overpowered the crab and confused the dish. It didn’t feel or taste like mac & cheese. Even more puzzling was the truffle mac & cheese. Not only did it lack any noticeable truffle flavor, but it also had an odd taste overall. The breadcrumbs seemed to have absorbed all the moisture and left the dish dry and bland—I genuinely wasn’t sure what I was eating. On a more positive note, the potato purée was a success. Creamy, smooth, and well-seasoned—it’s hard to get mashed potatoes wrong, and they didn’t. For dessert, we ordered the Magic Mushroom and asked for espresso to go with it. Unfortunately, our server told us they didn’t have espresso—yet, according to the restaurant’s website, it is offered. I suspect the machine was either down or already cleaned for the night and they didn’t want to reset it, which was disappointing. Ending a meal with a proper espresso is something I genuinely enjoy. We settled for regular coffee instead, which was forgettable. The presentation of the Magic Mushroom was whimsical and visually enchanting—definitely designed to impress at first glance. But as the saying goes, “all that glitters is not gold.” The dessert is described as a Pot de Crème, but the texture was off. Rather than the silky, smooth consistency I’m used to, it was grainy and overcooked—not due to the added ingredients, but the base itself. The concept was creative, but the execution fell short. On a much brighter note, the complimentary birthday dessert they brought out was absolutely delightful. It resembled a key lime pie—tangy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. It was beautifully presented in a glass cylinder over dry ice, topped with fresh fruit. That dessert was genuinely delicious, and I only wish it was listed on the actual menu. Overall, I don’t think I’d go out of my way to return to this restaurant. The service was subpar that evening, and for a $1,400 bill for five people, my expectations for both food and experience were much higher. If you’re looking for a great steak, I’d recommend Bateau in Seattle instead. That said, I do highly recommend going up to the top level for a cocktail and maybe a small bite. The view is, without a doubt, the best in the greater Seattle area—absolutely worth experiencing at least once.
Phenomenal
Stellar views. Dylan our waiter was phenomenal. He knew the history of the building and every detail of the food and cocktails.. Very well mannered and made us feel welcome.. Best experience I've had in a very long time at any restaurant! I would say this is my favorite restaurant and experience at a restaurant I've ever had.
The pompous wine Sommelier.
The first time in over 3 decades that I felt bad about ordering $400 worth of wine. The Sommelier was condescending, insulting and really ruined our night. Very unfortunate when the food and the service were very good. After we received our first bottle of wine and before I take a sip three people tried to fill my glass. I told them that I would pour the wine ourselves. Our waiter, the Sommelier and two other girls came by to tell us that it was unfortunate that we were pouring our own wine . When we decided to order a new bottle, the Sommelier came by and repeatedly insulted my clients, and the rest of the people at the table… in short, it was a terrible experience, even after talking to the general manager, we will never return. Our recommendation is to stay away.

Best Steaks in Bellevue.
Best steaks in Bellevue (and there are plenty of competitors). The atmosphere and service is great and the view over the city and lake Washington is spectacular. The menu offers also some nice starters and a solid wine list. Enjoy.

Great dining experience here. Lively vibe, excellent backdrop overlooking Seattle and Rainier, the combination of flavors in some of the dishes is outstanding, excellent cocktails and drinks menu. Would definitely repeat.

Went here for a friend's birthday and it's exactly what you think it is - you pay for the view. It's a good view though while it faces the sunset and can see mount rainier. Their rolls, and sushi tacos aren't my favorites. Their Mac and cheeses were good, same with their steak. Service is mixed. Really good while we sat at a table but I also went another time and sat at the bar and the bartenders were not the best to communicate with. They even told us happy hour ended even though I heard them talk to someone else about their happy hour menu

Probably one the worst steaks I have ever eaten.
I ordered the NY Strip, dry aged, and it was very chewy and inedible. I ate about half of it and had to give up. I go to alot of steak places, and for almost $100, i expected better. I literally had to spit an unchewable piece in a napkin. The girl asked me how everything was and I told her the steak wasn't great. I didn't want, or expect any refund but she never sent a manager over but did ask me if I wanted to send it back, which I declined. Also, it's not very comfortable. Either the seats are high and the table is low, or vice versa. It was very hard to eat. The truffle mac n cheese was good though. Very disappointing and I probably won't be back.

Matt was absolutely AMAZING!!! He made our daughter's 18th birthday the best experience ever!!! We had 3 reservations but they were not set for us all to sit at the same table. He told us he just wanted us to be able to all celebrate together and he made it happen. He gave us to the Virgo private room (with no room rental fee) which was the sweetest. He truly made our experience the best we ever had at any restaurant. We are hoping he gets promoted because he deserves it. He saw a wish and acted upon it without us asking for a private room. All we wanted was to sit together and he gave us way more than that. We had a memorable night and experience that we will never forget. My daughter and her friends had the time of their live! To top it all off the food was absolutely incredible!!Thank you for making her 18th birthday the best day and experience that she will remember for a lifetime!!! We appreciate you!

Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi had the first Patio Party of
Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi had the first Patio Party of the season, and knock it out of the park. The Lavender spritzers, featuring St. Germain liquor, was a perfect compliment for the amazing appetizers. Music by "Caety" performed wonderfully. I can't wait for the next Party. I only wish I could upload the pictures for you to see.

This place is worth trying but not memorable enough to pay these prices to be repeat diners. We had a couple of drinks- the pear pressure and a grapefruit shandy that were both very good. For food we had king salmon nigiri, the vinegar dusted fries with truffle aioli (the cheapest and possibly best item we had lol), Dungeness crab Mac and cheese, the ribeye cap crossbreed wagyu steak, the potato puree and butter, and the magic mushroom and sky fall desserts. All of the food was good to very good but nothing was excellent and memorable enough to bring us back at these prices. The desserts weren't as good as I would have thought they would be. Service was good. The server and server assistants were very good, informative, and attentive. The lounge actually looks nicer than the dining room area we were sat in with better views of the water, the sushi line, and bar, but it was much quieter in the space we dined in which was appreciated.

Service is attractive. Ambiance spectacular!! Drinks are fabulous. Food in my opinion can be better. Didn't enjoy steak but to each their own. Had a wonderful time for our 32 anniversary.

My original review was deleted :( Located on the 31st floor, my birthday dinner was beyond my expectations. I wanted to be wowed, live in the moment of the ambiance, and leave satisfied. We automatically connected with our server, Fae. She was entertaining and made all the perfect recommendations. For drinks, we both had their non-alcohol cocktail called Adore (mixed with hibiscus, lemon, ginger beer, ramune soda). The 2nd drink, I asked Fae to surprise me. She came back with a cocktail topped with a smoke bubble (I don't remember the name but it was pretty and good). For starters, we had the Jackfruit "Krab" cakes and Kurobuta Pork Belly. Both were delicious. For the mains, we shared a dry aged prime tomahawk chop paired with bone marrow and potato puree + butter. Thank goodness we shared bc I was already in a food coma at this point. Ha! For dessert, the "Chill" sorbet trio and the "Magic Mushroom" were truly magical. Our dining experience was definitely a foodie's dream

I only went to the bar for drinks, but wow what a view!!! Drinking delicious cocktails looking out of the panoramic view windows at Mount Rainier on a sunny day was breathtakingly beautiful!!! I really enjoyed the atmosphere as much as the drinks and great service. It is quite pricey though.
Single handedly the best tasting food and best dining
Single handedly the best tasting food and best dining experience I've ever had. The food, service, and ambience are all 10/10. No notes, for us it was perfection. We didn't just pay for our food, we felt like we paid for an entire experience.
It's definitely one of my favorite places to grab a meal.
What's not to like? The views are amazing for a sunset. The steaks, sushi, and drinks keep me coming back.

What a meal!! My fiancé and I went here to celebrate our recent engagement and our dining experience couldn't have been more impressive from start to finish. Starting off with the service-shoutout to Charles who elevated our entire evening. He wasn't our main waiter (didn't catch his name, but he was also fabulous), but Charles was so passionate and knowledgeable about the plates, ingredients and quality of the food brought out. He made wonderful suggestions and told us all about the meticulous process of plating foods and how dishes are created at Ascend by their head chef. Each course was brought out promptly, our glasses were always kept full and we enjoyed talking to all the staff. Now onto the food. This was the best meal we have had in a really long time in the greater Seattle area (and we have been to a lot of restaurants). The quality of everything served was top notch and each plate was gorgeous. The caviar was a great way to start our meal (loved the twist of it coming out with crispy rice). Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly. For sides we got the mashed potatoes and truffle Mac and cheese. Both were incredible and decadent. For dessert we ordered the small magic mushroom, halo, and the staff brought us a complimentary skyfall, which is what had the smoke effect. All of the desserts were incredible and had such a unique flavor and presentation. We will definitely be coming back to Ascend for all of our special occasions!

The food was very creative and yummy, e.g the mushroom dessert and the lab style appetizer. The service was also great, they did pay attention to details and had been very attentive all the time. In the end, they even sent us a celebration dessert as a congrats from the team, this was unexpected and super nice!

Fabulous appetizers that we tried were the jackfruit "Krab" cakes, foie gras, tuna tartar. The five of us each loved our scrumptious entrees dishes: especially the king salmon, sea scallops, black cod, & short ribs. The sides were amazing: grilled vegetables, mushroom foraged tempura, and Dungeness crab Mac & cheese. Desserts were incredible. As stated before, the service was excellent: thank you, Kirsten! Parking is easy at the Lincoln Square South lot.

My fiancée surprised me to a weekend brunch for my birthday. We really enjoyed the chicharron chicken & waffle and the robatta skewer + congee (kushiyaki beef) the most. Views are amazing on the 31st floor. Service is fantastic- very professional staff.

Great view, service was lacking
View was phenomenal!! Service at the bar was great but at the table was limited at best. The servers were kind, just not available. The sides were very small portions. Steak was undercooked & servers didn’t check back until it was too late in the meal to correct.
Celebrating two BIRTHDAYS1!
I went to this Restaurant to celebrated my friends birthdays! We all had an awesome time thank you to our server Minh and his assistant Charles. They both made our night an wonderful memories. They knowledge about the menu was great. The food was awesome, we order stake and everything was very good. The restaurant itself is wonderful and the view just wow! Thank you Minh and Charles for an such wonderful time.
Service was the best
We come here a lot for date nights. Last night was one of the best. Sunset views are incredible. Food is over the top tasty especially when paired with a killer wine. But what made the night even more special was the care and service from the team led by Shelby in the bar/lounge side. They rock and understand what quality service is all about. Thank you Shelby and congrats with your promotion! You deserve it

Worst Service ever
The location is excellent with great views of area. Food is average. The service is the worst. This is the second time in 3 years that i have had bad experience. And probably the last time. I will not ever go back.

The very definition of "not worth it" - super overpriced for below par food, service, and ambiance!Dinner for 3 - 2 apps, 3 mains, 4 drinks. $500 including tip. Steak was decent but no better than any random steakhouse. Burger was 100% disgusting - dry, flavourless, with a tiny serving of undercooked fries. Crab leg was decent if plain, and 30% more expensive than any fancy seafood house. Cocktails were great - and they'd better be for $21+ each - but good luck getting anyone's attention to order another.And to top it all off, when they boxed our leftovers, they left out the steak!Great view - but nothing else. Money better spent literally anywhere.

It is a very classy place but pricey.Service was top notch. Foods were pretty good. I tried their steaks, sushi cones, and burgers. Everything was yummy.
We went here with another couple for a celebratory occasion.
We ordered an assortment of drinks and dishes and the service was fine, the view was nice while the light was still out, but what was strange is the fact that while the two of us went to the bathroom in the middle of the meal, the server asked my husband if he was done eating (not the table, just if he was done) and then they cleared our entire table and threw everything away. We had ordered the $120 ribeye and had 1/3 of it still left on top to the assortment of appetizers we ordered as well (tempura mushrooms, grilled vegetables, foie gras, etc.) I came back and was shocked that they just cleared everything and didn't even bother to ask if the other people (not at the table) were done or if we wanted to pack anything to go. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. There are many nice dining options in Seattle/Bellevue and just throwing away all the pricey food without even asking if we were all done is just not what you expect at a place like this

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi Bellevue to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi Bellevue!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
